A good hotel for a low price. Beautiful territory, Clean, pleasant, cleaning every day. A big plus is the convenient location, close to shops, fruit and souvenir market, cafes and restaurants for every taste. Its own pool, its own beach (but small and only 5 sun beds from the hotel), but nearby there is a large beach line of the city beach, where you can order a massage on the beach with a sunbed and a towel, and cafes and restaurants.
Another advantage is that the hotel in the Wangamat area is located north of the center of Pattaya, so there are no crowds of tourists and dirty beaches.
Great hotel. Only slightly "lived-in" was built very expensively-richly, but now it is a little "tired" - something has fallen off, something is dilapidated, something needs repair. On the plus side: excellent landscaping, spacious rooms, especially the 5th floor with a view of the Temple of Truth. Access to the beach is good, but when swimming, be sure to watch the tide: at low tide, at the bottom of the sandy, in general, beach, rocks overgrown with sharp shells are exposed at the bottom and you can seriously injure yourself. So swim in sneakers. The food is excellent both in quality and assortment. We had a rest in August 2024, it's not the season, but the weather is great, since most of the guests are Chinese - the sea and the pool are practically free before lunch. Sun loungers are only on site, there are no sun loungers on the beach (maybe it's not the season). There are plenty of sun loungers on site for everyone. The location allows you to walk to the Red Ant, fruit market (10 minutes walk, near a wonderful minimarket. The rooms are clean and cozy, the sound insulation is excellent.
We stayed at this hotel from 26.10 to 03.10.2024. Well, what can I say... We were "lucky" ..., the second pool was being renovated in the hotel, respectively, the access to the sea was almost blocked, and the view from the room overlooked the construction site, Of course it was fun... We went with the tour operator Biblio Globus and there were no warnings about repairs at the hotel on their part.
About the hotel itself: if you do not take into account the renovation work, then the hotel itself is not bad, there is its own beach, but at the time of our vacation, there was nothing but garbage. The beach is combined with the Modus Hotel, where there were several sun beds, but vacationers are not allowed there from the Cliff. Perhaps after the renovation it will be more civilized there. It is better not to book this hotel until December 2024, if you do not want to spoil your vacation. The hotel is located somewhat away from the center and from tuk-tuks. For some, this may be a plus. Do not believe the previous reviews that Terminal 21 shopping center is within walking distance - this is not true! It takes 1.5 hours to walk to the shopping center in the heat! It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the central Naklua Road, where tuk-tuks go, or call a Bolt taxi for 100 baht. There are cafes on the way to Naklua Road. The nearest one is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. There's also a fruit market. We had lunch at the Teremok Russian cafe, located near the Long Beach Hotel on the way. There are also shops Sevan Ilevan, Lotus and Top Daily, but they are all just a 15-minute walk from the Garden Cliff Hotel. Next to Garden Cliff, a 5-minute walk away, there is only a small Top Daily store and an exchange. You can take a tuk-tuk along Naklua to the Terminal 21 shopping center (10 min. drive), then to the Central Marina shopping center, Central Pattaya Shopping Center, Festival Plaza Shopping center and Volkin Street, Then tuk-tuks turn and go back along the second street to the Dolphins along Naklua and to the Temple of Truth.
And more... Maybe someone will be interested in this, the pool, where the rooms with access to the pool, is very shallow, literally mid-thigh deep, but you can get into the communal pool from it. During our stay at the hotel, mostly Chinese people rested, who left after breakfast and could swim freely in the pool during the day. The breakfasts at the hotel are not very good, they are more adapted to the Chinese, but scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt were always available, so you will not stay hungry. I would not have gone to this hotel a second time and would have chosen a more accessible hotel to the center.
That's all I wanted to write. Maybe this will help someone make the right choice. In reality, the hotel is not 5 stars, but 3+, including meals.
The perfect hotel for Pattaya. A quiet place with a gorgeous private beach, excellent rooms with access to the pool and unobtrusive service.
And within walking distance of the shopping center Terminal 21, Walking street, fruit markets and many cozy cafes and restaurants
The hotel is really good. It's worth the money. Staff, territory, cleaning - good!
Exchangers, pharmacies, chocolatiers, fruits and more are 150m from the hotel. But there is a fly in the ointment.
But to get there you need to walk steeply downhill and steeply up the dirty stairs through the neighboring hotel.
It is possible through the hotel entrance. From which the street is about 120m. Close. But roulette. The guards may not let you through or let you in. Children, age doesn't matter. Then you need to walk around the entire hotel for almost 5 km.
Before leaving, we decided to buy fruits and souvenirs. We bought it, decided not to break our legs and ask to go through the checkpoint. They won't let me in. The guard is smiling behind the fence. The staff is polite. But..
I'm 65, hypertensive, prosthetic leg, I walk with a cane, a big man. Pumped up in the heat from the pressure. The guard waits, but like in the movies, behind his back, an elderly couple is walking to their car. The woman sees me and my condition and also asks the guard to open the gate. Refusal. Her companion says he's coming to pick us up. I'm getting worse. I'm walking. but a few minutes later, these wonderful Englishmen arrive on a white cruzac. I think they're with O. Douglas. My wife and I are picked up and taken to the entrance of the hotel. God grant them health and long life. Please note that this kind of thing can happen to you in this hotel. Giving a couple of dollars for each exit or entrance from the hotel to the street is too much. Don't respect yourself. Have a good rest for everyone..
A wonderful hotel. At 5 min. an evening bazaar and an excellent outdoor kitchen. There are exchangers and a store nearby. The hotel has its own access to the sea, though without a sunbed on the sand. The staff responds to any requests immediately. The kitchen was better a year ago, they gave king prawns twice during the week of stay. This year we only got to squid
I read reviews that Thailand has 5 stars, it's actually 2-3 stars and thought that the photos of the hotel are just Photoshop, but in fact it will be a flimsy holupka. I expected anything, but not very good service. I can compare only with Russian hotels and the level of service in Tae is much higher than in Russia.
Towels were changed every day, funds were added, and so on.
The toilet was clogged - they quickly came and cleaned it.
A working air conditioner.
Insanely delicious diffuser.
Every morning from 6:00 to 10:00 you want to eat breakfast, you want sausages, toast, ham, jelly, seafood, vegetables, fruits, etc. The choice is simply huge!
The only thing to be prepared for is that if you have dyed hair and you wipe it with a towel with hair dye. The employee will not take this towel from you to wash, but will immediately issue a fine of 300 Baht.
So we went to the laundry and washed the towel ourselves, and after the incident was closed, 300 Baht was returned to us.
Probably, this is due to the fact that the cleaning lady thought that we ate mangosteen and stained the towel with this fruit.
But otherwise the hotel is just great! There is a swimming pool, of course, the water there is colder than in the sea, but not critical, it feels like in rivers during the cold period.
The hotels are very clean and pleasant. There is Wi-Fi.
The old hotel is already in need of renovation, the rooms leave much to be desired. The service is excellent. There is a beach, but there are no sun loungers. The pool is there and not bad, but it also requires the attention of repairmen.
I liked the hotel, only the territory is small, the pools and the food are excellent. The Gulf of Thailand is a bit dirty (It is better to swim by boat, swim on the islands. Unpleasant aftertaste, theft of the phone, by polite staff, on the day of departure. I relaxed. Be vigilant in Thailand! Leave everything valuable at home. I compensated with impressions of nature. I recommend the gibbon flight. The jungle is gorgeous.
The pool is 5 stars;
Breakfasts are 5 stars (actually excellent, I read the opposite - I don't understand why, but really 5 stars);
Rooms, room service - 5 stars
The location is 4 stars (it is not convenient to get to the center, but you can see the Temple of Truth) - ATTENTION!!! It takes 5 minutes to walk through the neighboring hotel to it. - Don't believe anyone - you can go there and it's very close!
I liked everything about the hotel. Especially the pool. It is large, comfortable, and the sun beds around the perimeter are always free. The pool offers sea views and a private beach
The hotel is beautiful, the room is too, but the territory is closed, the waterfall and the beach need repairs and there is no closed shower and toilet rooms, the hotel is terraced and you don't run from the sea to the reception, obviously not for 5 * stars and breakfasts, the same type, but you didn't stay hungry, you wouldn't go there a second time!
