We had a rest in September. The service is excellent, the food was taken only for breakfast, the choice is large, the hungry did not leave. About lunch and dinner....we went to Gagra, to the Tea House, which is highly praised. We did not like it, despite the fact that the prices are well 30 rubles cheaper than in the hotel itself. Therefore, we ate there in the FOREST grill bar, the LIGHTHOUSE restaurant is certainly expensive. But not so straight. The check for two in the forest is 2100-2200. The lighthouse went out 2500-3000. But both are delicious. Euro room with sea view, change of linen and towels every 3 days. A large area where you can walk, squirrels))). Heated swimming pool, sun beds. The beach is fenced, cows do not walk))) pebbles, elevator descent ( always worked). So we recommend it.
A wonderful hotel of absolutely European level. Everything is verified to the smallest detail. Spacious, well-equipped rooms (kettle, iron with ironing board, clothes dryer), incredibly delicious and varied buffet, beautiful terraced park, outdoor pool, private beach, which you get to with a glass elevator, fitness room, hammam, Russian bath, tennis court, billiard room. The staff is very helpful, considerate and friendly. In the evening, a small performance of a musical fountain. Music, water jets, color - cause a meditative state. And most importantly, there is no fuss, hustle, unnecessary noise. Intimacy and the possibility of an almost secluded holiday are very rare for hotels by the sea. Many thanks to the management and staff of the hotel for creating a unique atmosphere!
The hotel is wonderful. It is located at the entrance to the city of Gagra. The hotel shuttle can take you to the Colonnade. But you can also walk for 15 minutes. Who are all these people who leave rave reviews for 5 points? We stayed at the hotel in late August and early September with two children. We lived in a Luxe room, which cost $ 4,000 for 9 nights, which, in principle, is not too little. This price included only breakfast, and for some reason only one child in our case was worthy of a separate bed and separate bed linen. They said that this is not provided for the second one.
Nature is beautiful, the hotel dazzles with novelty, there are almost no people on the beach, which pleases. All this cannot be taken away, but the service in the hotel itself ... well, I would call it a "luxurious bottom". The disadvantages that I list below would not be disadvantages in a hotel for $ 100 per day, but for $ 400 it is not acceptable in my opinion:
1. 3 bottles of water of 0.5 liters are given per day for a room with 2 adults and 2 children. The nearest store from the hotel is 15 minutes on foot. Administration! Is it hard for you to put water coolers on the floors?
2. Room cleaning may or may not be available. There was a feeling that large rooms were specially postponed for the evening so that they would not be cleaned. We are not here during the day - no one cleans, even if there is a "Clean room" marker. But in the evening... Ho ho... at 19:00 there is a knock for you "Good evening. Do you need cleaning? Oh, are you resting? All right, here are 3 bottles of water for you, I'm off."
3. The child had a birthday, the hotel congratulated him with a cake. Thank you very much! But here's the bad luck, we also wanted to cut a watermelon in the room for the holiday... and knives are not provided in the rooms, and they will not give them to you in the restaurant, they will not give them at the reception, and they will not give you watermelon plates either. The service, damn it. Life hack: in this case, you take a plastic tray out of the refrigerator, put a watermelon on it, go to the Panorama, bang on the closed door and directly BEG to cut the watermelon. If you are lucky and they will help you, take the sliced watermelon to your room.
4. Food! The breakfasts don't change. Everything is always the same every day. God forbid you hang out in a hotel for a month - you will go crazy from the monotony. My wife and I are not picky about lunches and dinners at all, but we both came to the conclusion that there is no desire to repeat dinners at the Lighthouse. Dinner for four without alcohol and desserts 4-5 t.r. And most importantly - it's NOT DELICIOUS!
5. Grill bar "Les". We came, sat down at an empty table (there are no more than 10 tables), we were immediately warned that the food should wait from 40 minutes, because the grill is busy. "Do you see how many tables are occupied? As many as 9!". This is ridiculous.
And so, of course, there are a lot of little things that are just funny for a hotel of this level: a hand dryer in the Panorama, which no longer worked than it did, water in the shower room, which pours onto the toilet floor, which is why it is always wet there, an evening concert on Tuesdays, which repeats one-in-oneOne. I watched it once - you can parody the presenter like in the movie "Groundhog Day".
The facilities at the hotel match the description and expectations. The breakfasts are great! a little disappointed with the food at the Mayak cafe (yes, the wait is 30-40 minutes. + unpredictable result. Once they ate delicious and with pleasure, and the second time - quite the opposite ...) and also in a grill restaurant - only khachapur turned out to be on top. Grilled meat is inedible (( but it was removed from the bill, so respect to the restaurant.
We had a rest in this hotel with pleasure!

We had a family vacation, me, my husband, my mother and three children. The hotel is like "in Turkey". Cleaning every day, towels are changed every day, etc. It's all cool. I'll write that I didn't like it! Well, the most important thing is the prices at the bar: ice cream cup "Ladybug from Korenovka" they sell for 150 rubles! I didn't even meet this in Moscow. I bought a mojito, well, in my understanding, a mahito is made in a large glass, with mint, lime, rum and sprite. Here, for 350 rubles, they made the smallest cup with Mahito syrup and half of this cup turned out to be ice! Somehow we decided to eat at the Mayak restaurant, so we sat for 20 minutes, they didn't even bring us the menu. One waiter and one bartender cannot cope with the number of vacationers. I consider these prices to be a complete disrespect to my guests! Knowing that the price of this ice cream is 50p, they want us to pay 150. Well, I'm not a sucker to be bred like that out of the blue! And so it is in everything! They are ready to sell chicken broth for 300 rubles for a child's portion... Well, what is it? There is nothing else to do in the hotel except for the fantans, which work for 30 minutes at most... The staff from the reception to the gardeners on site are friendly, smiling, interested in how things are going, if you like everything. how to help...Breakfasts are above all praise, diverse, for every taste, first-class products, excellent natural coffee. The hotel has just opened after renovation. The location is beautiful, high on a cliff. An elevator goes down to the sea, to which there is a picturesque bridge. Everything is done with great taste and love. Very friendly staff, mostly young people from the Altai Territory, wonderful guys: Nastya makes very tasty cocktails from freshly squeezed juices in the lobby bar on the ground floor.
The territory of the hotel is like a large observation deck.
The views from everywhere are magnificent.
The hotel is suitable for families with children and for a romantic holiday. The rooms have everything you need and even more, there is even an ironing board and an iron. Bottled water is brought daily, which is very useful.Everything is very clean. All towels, all bed linen, bathrobes - everything is new and of high quality.
The sound insulation in the rooms is excellent. They are cleaned very well both in the hotel and on the territory.

The best hotel in Gagra. We were from June 19th to 28th and wondered: where are the people? (Although, as they said, the hotel is almost full)
There are always plenty of places in restaurants, on the beach, by the pool. But there are no people.

The hotel is new: the design pleases the eye in everything. The staff is super polite and attentive.

We just returned from vacation. The hotel is wonderful. It fully corresponds to the description and photos. We had a standard room. What is in the room, in addition to what can be seen in the photos: an iron and ironing board, (very pleased), a set of oral hygiene products, a shaving and cosmetic kit, a constantly replenished supply of shampoos, shower gels, hair conditioner, body lotion, a good hair dryer. A constantly replenished supply of mineral water with and without gas. Daily room cleaning. The staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you very much for the service. But since the hotel has just started, not everything stated on the site is working yet. So far, two restaurants are working this way. One according to the buffet system. We went only for breakfast (everything is delicious), lunch and dinner only with full panseon, there is no other way to eat there. The second restaurant is "Mayaks. So far, with a small menu (3 salads, three types of soup and a second course). Respect to the cook, everything is very tasty, but since he is still there alone and just couldn't cope, the wait for the dish was at least 30 minutes. From Otlel, you can easily walk to the center of old Gagra in 20-25 minutes on foot. The longest restaurant is a 15-minute walk away. The beach at the hotel is private and it is healthy, the sea is clean, but still cool. The pool was very saving.
The hotel administration would like to say a big thank you for the rest. But there are a couple of wishes:
1. Change the bread supplier. Rizina, it's impossible to eat.
2. The hotel is less than half full, and the Lighthouse cook can no longer cope, recruit staff to the restaurant, otherwise I'm afraid he won't last long at this pace. And the cooking is cool.
3. Someone is not immune from force majeure, but it is important to be able to resolve them quickly. For example, during our vacation, the stove in the Lighthouse restaurant broke. And that's it. The maximum that the Sengvichi could offer. The only option to eat is to go to the city. It wasn't difficult for us. We ate very tasty in Gagripsha. But someone may not want to go to the city in the heat. Perhaps it wasn't the stove that broke, but the cook escaped, otherwise at least they could offer a salad.
3. It is quite humid in Gagra and, accordingly, everything dries for a very long time, especially beach towels. Of course, you can get dry ones every day during room cleaning, but this is not very convenient. I had to catch a cleaner, since the cleaning time is not known and every day is different. Therefore, if you wish, arrange for the reception and delivery of towels in a certain place, at least next to the pool bar. It's much more convenient this way.

Well, at least here you can write a review about the hotel, there is simply no place on their website for the opinions of vacationers.
I'll start with the pros.
1The area is probably large, beautiful, well-maintained. It is green, there are many mature trees, which creates a comfortable climate in any weather. 2. A beautiful view of the Gagra water area from the hotel elevator platform, which leads to the beach. I hung out on it for 40 minutes, the beauty is incredible, even dolphins can be seen. 3. Very decent interior and room layout, beautiful mattresses and pillows, back and neck did not hurt, slippers, bathrobes were, cosmetics-not very much, 2 bottles of water per room per day.4. The hotel is sooo quiet and calm (without infernally active animation and music), Relaxation at every step). 5. Good hammam and sauna. 6. Polite staff. 7. The climate and nature of Abkhazia is an undoubted bonus for holidays in this country.
Minuses: 1. Unstable WiFi, it is only available in the hotel building, at sea and by the pool, you are not connected. 2. Sooo monotonous breakfasts, you will not stay hungry, but on the fourth day you no longer know what to take. Sausages and bacon were served daily, the choice of muffins was meager (2, less often 3) types. There are very few fruits, although this is the south. Of the drinks - one type of juice, Water, tea, coffee. There were always problems with the coffee machine (every day), they were constantly waiting for it to be repaired. I often had to wait for the gastro-capacity to be filled. We didn't go to lunch and dinner, I don't know what they offered.2. The restaurant on the 5th floor has a gorgeous view of the sea, but the menu is quite expensive. The staff there is wonderful.3. There is a big problem with the concept of food, the sea bar is open from 12.00, although people are already at sea from 8.00, t,E. You need to carry the juices of the water with you. There were days when he didn't work at all. There is no place to buy water at the hotel at 11.00, Ice cream is only in the restaurant on the 5th floor, and if I want to eat it in the lobby bar, this is a problem. And there are plenty of such little things, they really spoil the holiday mood. We went to the city (3-4 minutes by car), 10 minutes on foot, bought water, juices, sweets, snacks, so as not to expect the opening of hotel bars. 4. The pool is too small, when the hotel is fully loaded, you can only soak standing there. We need more.5 Important!!!! The changing rooms by the pool are not working!! There is dirt in the toilet (dirty toilet bowl) and water on the floor all the time! That's a shame!6. The entrance to the sea is a large pebble, it hurts even in shoes, the hotel needs a descent from the pier!I think that at this stage of the hotel's operation, the price for accommodation is greatly overestimated (the hotel does not work like clockwork yet, there are many flaws), and it is too early to give 4 stars, the service is lame. An elementary trifle - a freshener in the bathroom ... is missing.
In general, the impressions are not bad, if you need privacy and peace, beautiful views, clean air and the sea, you can also suffer problems with communication and nutrition. It's just that the price is not too high, and with it the expectations. But the specifics of the country also play a role here, the tourist culture there is in its infancy, but it's a pity, the nature there is unique!
