This gate is the first thing that welcomes the guests of the old town. They are perfectly preserved and immediately immerse you in an authentic atmosphere. The narrow streets and cozy cafes create a pleasant environment for walking and tasting local cuisine. It is important to remember that only locals can pass through these gates, so if you need a taxi, order it at the gate. This is especially true for guests staying in hotels in the old town.

The main gate of the Old Town is like a portal from the present to the past, just one step and you, along with a caravan of camels, will be transported to the 12th century.… In the morning, we met with the guide at this gate, and from here our acquaintance with the history of Baku and its inhabitants began. In the evening, we enjoyed immersing ourselves in the atmosphere of the old city, wandering through the narrow streets, inhaling the aromas of oriental cuisine, and visiting numerous souvenir shops. We lived inside the Old City - it was atmospheric. Good weather and new discoveries for all tourists!☀️🌷

An excellent historical place in Baku.We visited for two days, both in the afternoon and in the evening. Good tourist maps of the fortress of old Gorda are given at the entrance by tourism managers. Everyone watched and even saw a scene from the diamond hand accidentally played by the same tourists. We had fun!
