It is a historical landmark, a symbol of Lithuania, but of course it has been restored, but the feeling of that era does not leave. You can climb on foot, as well as by funicular (additionalfee 2 evros, entrance to the tower 5 evros).
Beautiful view of the city. You can feel all the beauty and power of Vilnius. Very green city and old architecture. Well, how can you not fall in love? There is no better place on earth!
How many times have I been here, but this is the first time I visited the Tower. I was impressed by the funicular's organization - very friendly staff, they speak both Lithuanian and Russian. They helped me with the stroller and told me what and how to look at the top. A very beautiful view from the top, from any side. Vilnius is at a glance. I definitely recommend you to visit!!!
The main attraction of the city. Admission to the mountain is free, to the tower - 5 euros per nose. The view is stunning of the endless forests in which the old town is buried. There is nothing to see in the tower itself, only the view from the roof. All employees except the cashier speak Russian

Excellent view of the city, I advise you to use the funicular when visiting) It costs 1€, but it's worth it) There is a small museum in the tower itself, and the view of the city from the roof is even better 👍🏻 A visit costs 5€, but for 7 you can buy a visit to 3 museums, which is quite justified, for 12 you can already visit almost all the museums in Vilnius. But this is only if you are in Vilnius for a few days. All museums are closed on Mondays.
The red brick tower is what remains of the Upper Castle (built in the XIII-XIV centuries).
It is located in the western part of the Castle Hill (a hill with steep slopes overgrown with trees and shrubs), located in the historical center of the city and rising 48 m from the sole (142 m above sea level). The tower has three floors of octagonal shape (the lower part is quadrangular), 20 m high, built of rough rubble stone and red brick. The national flag is flying on a flagpole above the tower. The observation deck at the top offers views of the Old Town and the valley of Vilia.
Now there is a museum in the tower, where you can see models of the former castle, armor, swords and ancient coins. The observation deck offers a wonderful view of the Old Town and the city center.
