It's a very interesting place. A curious museum! But to experience the full beauty and history of this crossroads, do not skimp, take a guide. I had a chance to visit here twice, in 2022 and 2025. Both times the most indelible impression was left by ... the guide. He told the story in detail, the reasons for the various trends of the time in this fortress, the way of life, the way of life, the religious background of events. I Was Impressed with the word. It is important, perhaps, that his narrative is very friendly, and you can argue and compare your assessments / impressions of historical events. You will be in Dushanbe - Gissar is definitely the place that should be included in the visit program near the capital!
It is a very beautiful place, we got there during the restoration, the workers were polite and let us through. There are beautiful and wonderful souvenir shops, there are many things that cannot be found in Dushanbe.
An interesting fortress, you can take an excursion or just take a walk and enjoy the ancient views. There are many stalls with souvenirs and products on the territory and in front of the entrance.
The fortress of Hissar was built by the Emir of Bukhara. Historical monuments and monuments. Weddings and events are held locally
Beautiful and mesmerizing beautiful walls.
There is a mosque and a museum of that time
Definitely worth a visit and see it
Beautiful and interesting places in Hissar, including the majestic fortress. I love Tajikistan and its beauty, I advise you to visit, a lot of positive emotions
My hometown is the place where I was born and grew up) After walking through these places many times, I just realized that I had not walked enough) This is not just a Hissar fortress, it is a fortress for which tens of thousands of people died in order to protect it. The fortress of the Persian Emir is a place where I feel at home and protected.
The Gisar fortress is located near the city of Dushanbe, there are many historical places on the territory of the fortress, you can even ride a horse in a word, a historical place

A picturesque and interesting place. We took an excursion, it was quite exciting. There are a lot of restored, non-historical buildings, but it doesn't bother me. Very beautiful
Literally nothing remains of the Hissar fortress. It was almost completely destroyed. They were restored at different times, and therefore different masonry and the color of the bricks are even visible. Admission is inexpensive. But there is nothing to see there, there are several shops with goods at the entrance and then a wasteland. There is also a museum nearby, where there is a small exposition, but interesting. However, I had to look at everything in the dark, since there is stupidly no light there. It is worth going only if there is absolutely nothing to do.
Despite the fact that only the bases of the gates and two towers have been preserved from the authentic ancient buildings, the place is very atmospheric. It's nice to walk along the swollen clay walls. The Registan is interesting, which, in addition to the gates of the fortress, includes an old and a new madrasah, a house for ablutions (ruined). For a leisurely walk with a visit to the museum, it is advisable to lay 4-5 hours.
Not far from the village of Aini, and not far from Dushanbe. The tour lasts 1 day. You can take a walk and sit in the teahouse.
It's good to walk there, history!
My hometown of Hissar, where I was born, is a very beautiful and very good city with a lot of culture and ancient buildings. I recommend everyone to stay in Hissar
Basically a new model, we will send it without observing the technology of the time. There is very little historical development. It's beautiful, but it doesn't add up at all like it used to be here.
The most beautiful thing is the view around. That's why it's worth a look here.
I do not recommend taking a tour, I can read the history of Tajikistan anyway.
Admission is 10 somoni per person.
I was born in Dushanbe and in 1972 my class went on an excursion to the Hissar fortress, then there was only an earthen rampart. So the whole fortress was rebuilt quite recently
This is not just a fortress, but a piece of Paradise on earth! A wonderful historical place. However, some children and women always ask for money at the entrance. And so there is something to look at.
It's not worth waiting for much. There are only historical gates here. There are beautiful views from the hill, you can have a picnic overlooking the mountains. You can ride a tired horse. The entrance to the fortress is 10 somoni. It's worth a visit, it's not far from Dushanbe.
