Brest Fortress is a unique historical place. This is a hero fortress that has perpetuated the memory of the steadfastness and courage of our people. A very interesting central entrance with a touching soundtrack, and the same magnificent monument to the brave soldier, the Church of St. Nicholas. St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Eternal Flame. It gives me the creeps!
The territory of the fortress is a kind of park with a river. Everything is very well maintained. There are cafes and public toilets. There is an Orthodox women's monastery outside the fortress. If you are going to Brest. This place should be one of the first to visit!
Everything is fine, but be ready to run from any part of the fortress to a single toilet, which is near the first barracks. This spoils the overall impression of the visit, because I had to cruise back and forth several times, which was inconvenient.
We arrived in the morning at 10 o'clock and there were no people at all. Unfortunately, we did not have time to visit the museums, but we walked around the territory. Of course, it is worth visiting in memory of our heroes!
But please solve the issue of toilets!!! It's a shame to have one toilet in such a territory
A very large, majestic and impressive memorial on the territory of the Brest Fortress, located in the center of Brest. The objects, which are practically untouched by repairs and restoration, make it possible to fully immerse yourself in the events of 1941 and feel what those who defended this fortress at the cost of their lives in the early days of the beginning of the Second World War went through.
A grandiose structure, majestic. It is very pleasant that the object is preserved and maintained in excellent condition. Our pride, the great victory, we remember, we grieve. It is very convenient that it is not fenced and you can come here at any time of the day.
It is necessary to take a guide, we had a 2-hour excursion. It is very interesting, but all this time my soul was very restless and sad, every meter is soaked with blood and human tragedy. Heroism intersected with betrayal.
It is necessary to take children with you so that they listen carefully. History is often very cyclical.
I highly recommend visiting this place.
The Holy of Holies for ALL Russians.
Together with a group of tourists from Gelendzhik, they visited the Brest Fortress museum complex.
We express our Gratitude and Respect to the FRATERNAL PEOPLE of BELARUS for the Memory. For the preservation of Shrines. For the opportunity to visit such Neutral Places of the Heart's Memory in our difficult time.
With Love, from Russia, Vekshatur Gelendzhik.
I strongly advise you to visit the Brest fortress. Everything here is saturated with the memory of the feat of the Soviet people. Monuments, a stunning museum with photos of the participants of the events. And there is also a huge number of people who came to worship the defenders of the fortress, which cannot but please those who love their country.
It's very impressive, I've wanted to visit here for a long time. We were on a tour trip, we stopped in Brest. We took a walk around the fortress with the guide, expanded our knowledge about this place a little. We have been to the museum, there is something to see and read. There are shops with souvenirs, drinks, etc. in front of the entrance.
This is a wonderful historical memorial place. There is a special atmosphere there that immerses you in certain reflections. I recommend taking a tour, the guides tell you everything in great detail, interestingly and in sufficient detail. I will definitely come back here again.
This is the most atmospheric memorial, thanks for organizing such a monument, a very powerful and memorable place.
I was on a tour with Alexandra, an amazing girl, it was a pleasure to listen.
I have long dreamed of visiting the complex and monuments of the heroic Brest fortress.I was very impressed by the heroic feat of our Soviet soldiers and residents of the Brest fortress.Eternal memory to them all.Once again I want to go and visit the Brest fortress
A great place to visit with children. Objects are available for children's photos and games - military equipment, ruins. The place is powerful. Everything is clean, calm and pleasant.
It is strange to give a five grade to a historical monument and a monument, but.... Maybe it will attract people's attention. It's worth a visit. This is the story of the whole country and the separate city of Brest. A monument to the resilience of people. We took a personal tour. We were told the story of the construction of the fortress, as well as the story of its death. The story of the fortitude and determination of the people who were there. The memorial monument itself is impressive. The only hero fortress among the hero cities.
Ever since I read S.Smirnov's Brest Fortress as a child, I dreamed of visiting it and now it has happened!
To say that this memorial complex is very impressive is to say nothing. It's been a week, and when I remember, a lump rises in my throat and tears roll down.
Many thanks to the Belarusians (with a capital letter!) for the preservation of memory, for the education of the younger generation of Brest.
I have long wanted to visit this holy place. In the middle of July 2024, a dream came true, I saw with my own eyes the place of the great feat of our people, the place of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
It took more than 4 hours to inspect the complex, visit all the museums, etc. I recommend booking a guide in advance, we had to walk ourselves and eavesdrop on the stories of other groups somewhere. I definitely recommend visiting, especially with children. A genuine sense of pride comes over you when you are there. At the same time, the hope is that peace will always reign on our planet.
Well, come to Belarus and not visit the Brest fortress. In this place, you feel fear, sadness and pride for our fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers. How they met this fascist horde, without really having any ammunition, provisions and medicines, They stood to the death until the last moment, not allowing these reptiles to go to their relatives, families, and in general to our people. They stood to their deaths regardless of nationality, position, position, honor and praise to you, our fighters. If you are in Belarus, be sure to visit this place and learn another piece of the history of that terrible war.
This majestic structure impresses with its epic scale and captures the imagination with its stunning beauty. Its huge size and majestic architecture make it truly impressive and unforgettable. Every detail of this wonderful place is filled with grandeur and splendor, the spirit of patriotism.
An atmospheric place, a large area for walking, it is interesting to delve into history and take a tour. When visiting, I would like to review the film about the Brest Fortress once again.
The place is impressive... I have lived in Brest for more than 20 years and every time I walk under this monument to the eternal flame, I get goosebumps... Just stop and listen... Eternal memory to our heroes who fell for our future. I rode around the fortress on a bicycle up and down. I advise you to visit Brest itself on June 21 on Sovetskaya Street in the evening and on June 22 to watch the annual reconstruction of the attack of Nazi Germany on the USSR... There are many excursions in the Fortress itself, there are cafes, of course there are exhibitions with expansions from those times. Everything is clean and cultured.
You need to visit this place at least once in your life, show it to children so that they remember. I highly recommend museums: you experience incredible sensations when you stand indoors, the alarm sounds, explosions are heard, glass breaks, bullets whistle... What a horror befell those people.
Thank you very much for saving, saving and, I am sure, you will keep this place in the future!
People, as long as their hearts are pounding, remember at what price happiness was won. Please remember!
I have long wanted to visit the Brest fortress, I liked everything very much, visited the museums that are located on the territory of the fortress, did not go on an excursion to the church, maybe next time.
Everything is clean and beautiful)
The cafe is also nothing, but it's cool in it (but it's like for me)
Theme music is playing on the territory, it takes you by the soul 🥺We didn't have time to go around everything, we will definitely, definitely come back.
A majestic and sacred place steeped in the history and events of the Great Patriotic War! Everyone is required to visit! There is an opportunity to see the main entrance of the fortress, walk through the places of former glory, visit memorials!
If you are thinking whether it is worth going to the Brest Fortress - definitely worth it! Incredible feelings cover when visiting this location. We went with children - 15 and 8 years old. It is very interesting and informative.
This is our story....Thank you that there are such memorials that remind of that terrible war.Descendants should also remember! We were with an adult daughter. The memorial is huge, it would be better to come in the morning and take a tour. It's a pity, but we could only get in for 2 hours, we didn't even go around the entire fortress...
At first we got lost and drove to the North Gate, but then we got oriented and still found the Main entrance. Parking is right next to the entrance, we didn't know, but you can drive right up to the alley leading to the Star. There are stalls with coffee and souvenirs in front of the entrance. Right there on the alley at the entrance of the cafe "Forget-me-not"
Very beautiful. At the entrance there are reports of the war years about the treacherous attack of Nazi Germany on the Soviet Union. Everything is clean and tidy. The Citadel Restaurant is located on site in the historic barracks building. Very tasty food at reasonable prices.
Glory to the heroes and home front workers! A large-scale monument! You plunge into the atmosphere of the frozen era of the USSR. You stand on the grave of your ancestors and you want to cry for those soldiers and civilians who suffered because we would now live and pray for peace in our native land
On the territory there are guides, museums, cafes, Citadel, craft workshop
It's a very atmospheric place. I advise everyone to visit the Brest fortress. To understand the horror and the feat of people. Thank you for investing money in such places so that everyone remembers
This part of the fortress immediately immerses you in the atmosphere of this place. The sound of a metronome. The announcement of the outbreak of war. Well, the song "Holy War". Very impressive. You should linger and get into this atmosphere.
Very impressive. The size, the soundtrack. Tears are coming. With gratitude to the Belarusians for preserving the memory of the ancestors who defeated fascism!!!
The main entrance to the Brest Fortress is really impressive. It is a massive concrete structure with a carved star through which visitors pass. When you come in, you immediately feel the atmosphere of those tragic days. The song “Holy War" is playing, and this adds a special solemnity to the moment.
I dreamed of coming here.. This is the place to visit and bring your children! No one is forgotten!! ... The monument is lovingly cared for. Cleanliness, silence and very beautiful!! We went to the temple and monastery. Thanks!
A landmark place, our history, a fortress that was one of the first to meet the attack of the fascist army. In some moments, you can't hold back the tears. It is necessary to visit such places. The recommendation for those who go in May is to take with you a remedy for midges and mosquitoes, everyone has been bitten.
On Victory Day, the whole crowd breaks in and 10,000 people go and celebrate Victory Day very cool! I advise you to come with your family and cry with happiness and sadness.
We were on a guided tour. We learned a lot of very important and interesting things for ourselves. Probably only after visiting the Brest fortress, you can feel and realize the feat of the defenders of the fortress. And of course it is very important that our son was with us, he was interested. And he learned and understood a lot.

I really liked the Brest fortress, there is something to see (monuments, museums, a temple, a huge square, a stele), as well as a large park, there is where to walk. It takes a lot of time to see everything, a day or two.
In order to feel all the charm and power of this memorial, you definitely need to visit this place. No words are enough to describe all the pain and power of the Brest fortress!!!
It's an amazing place. Stepping outside the gates of the Brest fortress, you involuntarily feel goosebumps running all over your body. Here you begin to realize all the tragedy and all the will to win of those Red Army soldiers who defended it. If you decide to visit it, I advise you to spend a few days. Be sure to visit the fortress with a licensed guide, as well as take a walk around the fortress on your own.. You will definitely like it and will help you understand more precisely what happened here in the summer of 1941.
The place where the goosebumps start..
At the entrance, the fast rhythm of the metronome sounds (the heart stops), the sound of rockets and explosions.. You immediately find yourself in that place, in that terrible summer of 1941..
every brick is a mute witness..
One of the main attractions of the fortress. Thanks to the soundtrack, which is the alternating sounds of a metronome, falling bombs and the announcement of the outbreak of War by Levitan, it sets up the seriousness of the moment.
Первый раз посещала Брестскую крепость. Впечатлений много. Музеи современно оформлены, великолепно передают историю и показывает события тех годов. Однозначно стоит посетить. Очень интересно и важно
You need to visit this place once in your life. The fortress is next to the city. Along Gogol Street to the last house and you are at the entrance. Personally, I have fulfilled my dream.
