These are unforgettable impressions and emotions. Thank you very much to the Belarusian people for preserving our memory. Very clean. We were on the eve of May 9th. They conduct very interesting excursions. It is a memorable place to visit and bring children so as not to forget our history.
Everything is fine, but be ready to run from any part of the fortress to a single toilet, which is near the first barracks. This spoils the overall impression of the visit, because I had to cruise back and forth several times, which was inconvenient.
We arrived in the morning at 10 o'clock and there were no people at all. Unfortunately, we did not have time to visit the museums, but we walked around the territory. Of course, it is worth visiting in memory of our heroes!
But please solve the issue of toilets!!! It's a shame to have one toilet in such a territory
A very strong place!
It impressed us to the point of goosebumps!
I definitely recommend a guided tour.
Tours of the Brest Fortress are available in two museums, both group and individual.
A very huge memorial monument, everything is well maintained and very clean, the atmosphere of silence is just like a minute of remembrance for the ages of the dead, and the audio accompaniment on the territory of the complex was impressive.
A very strong place! I recommend visiting here, be sure to take a guided tour, learn about the history of the fortress and the feat of Soviet soldiers in June-July of the 41st. For the sake of visiting this sacred place, it is worth visiting Brest.
The monument is gigantic, very impressive to the point of goosebumps. The Brest Fortress is located on the territory of the museum. Be sure to visit if you haven't been and bring your children with you!
I live in Brest, and we visit this place very often, especially in the summer. And every time we walk through the fortress, we realize how many soldiers died here defending our Brest fortress.
A place with an incredible atmosphere and energy.
I advise everyone to visit.
A very large, majestic and impressive memorial on the territory of the Brest Fortress, located in the center of Brest. The objects, which are practically untouched by repairs and restoration, make it possible to fully immerse yourself in the events of 1941 and feel what those who defended this fortress at the cost of their lives in the early days of the beginning of the Second World War went through.
Brest Fortress is a unique historical place. This is a hero fortress that has perpetuated the memory of the steadfastness and courage of our people. A very interesting central entrance with a touching soundtrack, and the same magnificent monument to the brave soldier, the Church of St. Nicholas. St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Eternal Flame. It gives me the creeps!
The territory of the fortress is a kind of park with a river. Everything is very well maintained. There are cafes and public toilets. There is an Orthodox women's monastery outside the fortress. If you are going to Brest. This place should be one of the first to visit!
A grandiose structure, majestic. It is very pleasant that the object is preserved and maintained in excellent condition. Our pride, the great victory, we remember, we grieve. It is very convenient that it is not fenced and you can come here at any time of the day.
It's a strong place, it's a pity that we arrived in the evening before the museums closed. We walked around the fortress square, it was sad from the scale of the victims of the Second World War. There is music at the main memorial, cleanliness and order are all around, local residents are walking. In general, a dream has come true-to see with your own eyes. I recommend it)
This is the most atmospheric memorial, thanks for organizing such a monument, a very powerful and memorable place.
I was on a tour with Alexandra, an amazing girl, it was a pleasure to listen.
It's an amazing place! We need a guide to realize all the horror and heroism! Entrance to the territory is free. Tours can be taken on various resources, even apart from the museum itself.
The Holy of Holies for ALL Russians.
Together with a group of tourists from Gelendzhik, they visited the Brest Fortress museum complex.
We express our Gratitude and Respect to the FRATERNAL PEOPLE of BELARUS for the Memory. For the preservation of Shrines. For the opportunity to visit such Neutral Places of the Heart's Memory in our difficult time.
With Love, from Russia, Vekshatur Gelendzhik.
This is a wonderful historical memorial place. There is a special atmosphere there that immerses you in certain reflections. I recommend taking a tour, the guides tell you everything in great detail, interestingly and in sufficient detail. I will definitely come back here again.
Goosebumps on the skin… The fortress is a must-visit for all ages and religions… It's a place of strength, honor, valor, and... pain. All this is felt with all my soul. Eternal Glory to all who defended the Motherland! May God rest the souls of all our soldiers who fell in this war!
It is necessary to take a guide, we had a 2-hour excursion. It is very interesting, but all this time my soul was very restless and sad, every meter is soaked with blood and human tragedy. Heroism intersected with betrayal.
It is necessary to take children with you so that they listen carefully. History is often very cyclical.
I highly recommend visiting this place.
I've been aiming at the Fortress for a long time.
I will say this, a very strong place, many fortifications are intact, which is very good, and closed.
But it is understandable, if everyone went there, then everything would be sad.
You definitely need to visit here.
Only the Volyn fortifications were upset, because there are a lot of repairs and cars
A very strong place! Beautifully and coolly made! Knowing the story, passing through a star sends a chill down my spine. During the war, civilians and residents of the city were shot at this place.
It's very impressive, I've wanted to visit here for a long time. We were on a tour trip, we stopped in Brest. We took a walk around the fortress with the guide, expanded our knowledge about this place a little. We have been to the museum, there is something to see and read. There are shops with souvenirs, drinks, etc. in front of the entrance.
I have long dreamed of visiting the complex and monuments of the heroic Brest fortress.I was very impressed by the heroic feat of our Soviet soldiers and residents of the Brest fortress.Eternal memory to them all.Once again I want to go and visit the Brest fortress
The fortress was one of the first to meet the enemy on June 22, 1941, bravely defended itself for a whole month and was the only one to receive the title of "hero fortress".
And that's where it's all literally felt by the skin when you enter the territory, when you hear the metronome and Levitan's voice, when you stand by the eternal flame and look into the eyes of this soldier...
I strongly advise you to visit the Brest fortress. Everything here is saturated with the memory of the feat of the Soviet people. Monuments, a stunning museum with photos of the participants of the events. And there is also a huge number of people who came to worship the defenders of the fortress, which cannot but please those who love their country.
A place where everyone who honors the history of their country should visit. Along with Mamaev Kurgan, the Leningrad Defense Museum.
Goosebumps when you enter the fortress.
It is strange to give a five grade to a historical monument and a monument, but.... Maybe it will attract people's attention. It's worth a visit. This is the story of the whole country and the separate city of Brest. A monument to the resilience of people. We took a personal tour. We were told the story of the construction of the fortress, as well as the story of its death. The story of the fortitude and determination of the people who were there. The memorial monument itself is impressive. The only hero fortress among the hero cities.
Every time we come to the city of Brest!!! We are visiting the fortress!!! And every time it's like the first time I really like it!!!! I advise everyone to go there
A great place to visit with children. Objects are available for children's photos and games - military equipment, ruins. The place is powerful. Everything is clean, calm and pleasant.
The place is impressive... I have lived in Brest for more than 20 years and every time I walk under this monument to the eternal flame, I get goosebumps... Just stop and listen... Eternal memory to our heroes who fell for our future. I rode around the fortress on a bicycle up and down. I advise you to visit Brest itself on June 21 on Sovetskaya Street in the evening and on June 22 to watch the annual reconstruction of the attack of Nazi Germany on the USSR... There are many excursions in the Fortress itself, there are cafes, of course there are exhibitions with expansions from those times. Everything is clean and cultured.
This majestic structure impresses with its epic scale and captures the imagination with its stunning beauty. Its huge size and majestic architecture make it truly impressive and unforgettable. Every detail of this wonderful place is filled with grandeur and splendor, the spirit of patriotism.
Ever since I read S.Smirnov's Brest Fortress as a child, I dreamed of visiting it and now it has happened!
To say that this memorial complex is very impressive is to say nothing. It's been a week, and when I remember, a lump rises in my throat and tears roll down.
Many thanks to the Belarusians (with a capital letter!) for the preservation of memory, for the education of the younger generation of Brest.
I have long wanted to visit the Brest fortress, I liked everything very much, visited the museums that are located on the territory of the fortress, did not go on an excursion to the church, maybe next time.
Everything is clean and beautiful)
The cafe is also nothing, but it's cool in it (but it's like for me)
Theme music is playing on the territory, it takes you by the soul 🥺We didn't have time to go around everything, we will definitely, definitely come back.
A majestic and sacred place steeped in the history and events of the Great Patriotic War! Everyone is required to visit! There is an opportunity to see the main entrance of the fortress, walk through the places of former glory, visit memorials!
I was there for the first time, at my son's request. I think that absolutely every child should visit this memorial, take guided tours and get into the horror that happened here, so as not to repeat it all.
The soundtrack of everyone entering through the Northern Gate, under the Star, with bombs exploding and Levitan's voice immediately immerses in that time, and tears of sorrow and pride come over those who fought here mercilessly and recklessly for their native land...
I have long wanted to visit this holy place. In the middle of July 2024, a dream came true, I saw with my own eyes the place of the great feat of our people, the place of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
It took more than 4 hours to inspect the complex, visit all the museums, etc. I recommend booking a guide in advance, we had to walk ourselves and eavesdrop on the stories of other groups somewhere. I definitely recommend visiting, especially with children. A genuine sense of pride comes over you when you are there. At the same time, the hope is that peace will always reign on our planet.
Goosebumps come already under the star when you look at these red bricks.
Levitan's message about the outbreak of war sounds from the speakers, then "Holy War" plays. The sounds of bombing and shooting, followed by a metronome, only enhance the atmosphere of the place. You stand there, listening, and tears come to your throat.
The illumination at night is amazing.
Well, come to Belarus and not visit the Brest fortress. In this place, you feel fear, sadness and pride for our fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers. How they met this fascist horde, without really having any ammunition, provisions and medicines, They stood to the death until the last moment, not allowing these reptiles to go to their relatives, families, and in general to our people. They stood to their deaths regardless of nationality, position, position, honor and praise to you, our fighters. If you are in Belarus, be sure to visit this place and learn another piece of the history of that terrible war.
Very beautiful. At the entrance there are reports of the war years about the treacherous attack of Nazi Germany on the Soviet Union. Everything is clean and tidy. The Citadel Restaurant is located on site in the historic barracks building. Very tasty food at reasonable prices.
Be sure to visit the Brest Fortress. There are many heroic places in Belarus, but not many of them are actively and, importantly, lovingly used by local residents for family walks. And I really liked that, while remaining a very iconic and memorable place, the fortress seemed to have received a second life. The temple on the territory of the fortress leaves an indelible impression - snow-white on the outside and wounded and scorched by the war inside.
A very important familiar place. You should know the past so that you don't make mistakes in the future! This place is special, which speaks about the feat of the great Victorious people!
It's a very atmospheric place. I advise everyone to visit the Brest fortress. To understand the horror and the feat of people. Thank you for investing money in such places so that everyone remembers
We were on a guided tour. We learned a lot of very important and interesting things for ourselves. Probably only after visiting the Brest fortress, you can feel and realize the feat of the defenders of the fortress. And of course it is very important that our son was with us, he was interested. And he learned and understood a lot.
You need to visit this place at least once in your life, show it to children so that they remember. I highly recommend museums: you experience incredible sensations when you stand indoors, the alarm sounds, explosions are heard, glass breaks, bullets whistle... What a horror befell those people.
Thank you very much for saving, saving and, I am sure, you will keep this place in the future!
People, as long as their hearts are pounding, remember at what price happiness was won. Please remember!
An atmospheric place, a large area for walking, it is interesting to delve into history and take a tour. When visiting, I would like to review the film about the Brest Fortress once again.
