There is a large parking lot, there is also a paid one, a cafe on the second floor, if you want to leave the car for the holiday, public transport does not go, it is far to the nearest stop, use a taxi.
It's a good airport. Of course, there is no duty free at the "capital" level, but there is a cafe where you can have a tasty and inexpensive snack. The staff is very polite.
The airport in Gomel is being transformed for the better. I flew to Egypt in April and December. Much has been done, but much more needs to be done. We have installed an information kiosk and an ATM. The buffet has improved its assortment. You can have tea in the departure area. But in the departure area there is a women's toilet with only one cot - there are always queues! Long queues! The toilet itself also needs to be upgraded. There is also no smoking area in the departure area. We are all for a healthy lifestyle, but smoking is not prohibited in our country, which means that smokers have rights. The men are still smoking in the toilet, and the smoke and tobacco stench goes into the hall.
In general, it is very good that you can fly from Gomel. And I believe that soon the airport in Gomel will meet all international requirements.
I really like the city, the people, the atmosphere. But why can't we make a decent airport? It is small (from the word at all), there is no inspection (as we are used to) as such, the weight of luggage is very well monitored. The seats (since Soviet times, apparently) are uncomfortable before boarding. There is no air conditioning (therefore, when taking off in the heat, do not rush to land).
The airport in those conditions in which it is simply at a height! The attentive staff does everything to make passengers feel comfortable. Without fuss, with children to the sea, this is the best start to the journey!
Once, after arriving, the whole crowd stood outside in the rain. They were not allowed into the room. The airport staff are mostly some kind of dissatisfied people. They definitely lack politeness and decency. The airport itself is very old and worn out. The stewardesses have a very strained smile. Some do not have it at all)
The planes themselves are modern, clean. The food is delicious👍
The location is good.
I would give the pilots 5+.
We flew to Egypt. A small, cozy airport. At first, I didn't even realize that planes were leaving here, it's just that it's so small.
As always, kind, lovely people. I love Belarus.
There will be no flights until the end of 2022. The airport is empty, apparently used for non-peaceful purposes. Some employees are walking, but there are no flights, scoreboards, passengers and, for example, cafes. 5/10
