The museum complex is recommended for everyone to visit. The museum itself is open until 17-00. The memorial complex is open around the clock. There is a large parking lot (anyone with their own car). If you travel from Minsk, it is better to make this visit in the morning so that you do not get into traffic jams at the entrance to the city in the evening. A ticket to the museum costs 6 BYN. Those who do not know the history of Khatyn, I recommend first a museum, then a memorial (without immersion in history there will be no worries, rage inside and tears of sympathy). If you know the fate of the village well, you can skip the museum. As soon as you see the statue, everyone has a personal story...
Khatyn is mandatory to visit. We took a guided tour of the Complex. Wonderful guide Alina led her very soulfully, interestingly.
We did not take an excursion to the museum (we did not have time In time), but in vain. 6 halls each behind a new door. Each room has a screen that tells about the tragedy of the war. And one hall is the lightest - peaceful life. It's worth seeing!
They tell children not to, I disagree. This is history and memory, and if we remember and pass on to the younger generations, so we do not forget about the feat of our people.
A memorial complex telling about the atrocities of the Nazi invaders on the territory of Belarus in general and in the village of Khatyn in particular.
I highly recommend visiting with a guided tour.
The complex is well maintained, clean, in excellent condition. Every detail makes you think and feel the heavy atmosphere of the war years and the period of occupation.
I believe that this place should be visited by everyone who remembers and honors the history of their people and ancestors.
It's very quiet there, and only the bells on the memorials, which symbolize the burned huts, ring every 30 seconds.
On the site of each house there is a memorial-a stele on which there is a plaque with the names of those who lived in the house. At their foot are children's toys that people bring. There were many children in the families..
The monument "The Unconquered Man", the eternal flame, the cemetery of burned and destroyed villages, the very atmosphere of this place makes you remember once again.
It takes 40 minutes by car from Minsk, there is a huge parking lot, cafes, toilets, a souvenir shop on the territory.
It is not far from Minsk to this memorable place (30-40 minutes). This complex was created as a reminder of all the burned villages during the Second World War. The guides tell me that there is a lump in my throat, tears come to my eyes. A monument to the unconquered man greets everyone. 26 houses have been recreated on the territory - these are chimneys, the bell on which strikes every 30 minutes. There is also a memorial to the victims of concentration camps. Of course, it's hard to stay there, but you need to visit in order to remember.
An excellent memorial complex. I advise everyone to visit, but not just to walk, but with an excursion. We came across a very cool guide, an expert on the topic, a person who is deeply immersed in the question. The guide had an answer to any questions right away. I didn't remember her name, but without a doubt she's the boss and the best there. Thank you for the wonderful tour.
We were with an excursion group from Gomel , we really liked it 💯
The guides Maria and Diana did well , it was very interesting 👍☺️a good souvenir shop and cafe near the museum with affordable prices and delicious food and drinks
A necessary and important memorial complex. Take the services of a guide, first take it inside the museum and then on the open area. You won't regret it. Our whole group had wet eyes. You will learn everything down to the smallest detail, ask questions and get answers to everything. It is very interesting and informative, there is something to think about.
On June 12, 2024, we visited the Khatyn Memorial Complex at sunset. We were alone. The atmosphere was very impressive. Everything was thought out by the creators of the complex, many thanks to them - it is necessary to remember. We are from Nakhodka, we planned to stop by on a car trip. I advise everyone to visit.
A place where everyone should visit! The atmosphere at the memorial gives you goosebumps! On a large scale!
You need to take a guide to the museum, there will be special effects!
We were in Khatyn on our own, without an excursion. But the tour is optional there, and so everything is clear. Then we went to the new museum. The museum is wonderful. There is something to see, the original presentation of the material. But! At the same time, an excursion took place nearby. The room is small and the guide kept asking us to move away. We didn't understand, should we run away or close our ears and eyes? So then we tried to stay longer in the previous hall so as not to run into them, and then we returned to the hall from which she asked us to leave)))) It's kind of unpleasant. It seems like we bought tickets, but we can't watch, we need to hide away from excursions)))
On September 19, together with students of grades 8-10, they visited a sacred place for Belarusians - the Khatyn Memorial Complex. I was there a long time ago. I've heard about the renovation and the new museum. Now I saw it with my own eyes. What I saw shocked both adults and children! We listened very carefully. We passed through the territory of the former village. They put flowers at the monuments. Then we visited the museum's exposition. There are 6 halls, and the impression is huge! Time, horror and pain are very specifically conveyed. No one was left indifferent. I was very impressed with the hall, made like a burning barn, in which you suddenly found yourself! And the bloody stream... The whole history of long-suffering Belarus immediately came to life.
Many thanks to the authors. Thanks to the guide Zarina.
An impressive place.
A place of memory and sorrow.
Only after visiting there do you understand the scale of the bullying and cruelty of fascism.
A huge territory, beautiful and well maintained.
Being in Belarus, you definitely need to visit the memorial complex!!! Take a guide and invest more time! A decent memorial museum on site. Take your children with you, let them know about the atrocities of the fascists. No one is forgotten and absolutely not forgotten!!!
We were in this place 2 years ago. Then the construction site ruined the whole impression.
Now a wonderful museum tells the story of the occupation, the history of Belarus, burned villages and concentration camps.
It's really a creepy place when you realize what happened and how many people died. Everything is very well done. There is a church, an eternal flame.
05/31.24 the family came to the sanatorium for a vacation, planned a trip to Minsk with a stop in Khatyn. The complex is decorated in black tones, there are signs, signs with explanations, but the strongest impression is made by a black sculpture of a blacksmith with a dying son in his arms... first we went to the museum, because for the first time here, we asked the female administrator where to buy tickets and how to get into the hall, she was struck by her inhospitality, answered questions on the verge of rudeness, the inspection of the halls goes in a circle, but when we entered the first semi-dark hall, we did not see the door, we asked again, the administrator pointed to she said in an edifying tone, "I told you that you need to go in a circle, but you don't listen," a few minutes later, schoolchildren with a guide entered the hall, all the halls went with them, visitors were not allowed to go to the toilet in the museum building, the woman administrator said to us again in a rude form, "for you toilets on the street!!!" - we found it ourselves by following the signs... The place is difficult, but it is a part of our history that needs to be known and remembered.... I am removing the star only because of the inappropriate behavior of the museum administrator.
A museum was opened on the territory of the complex in 2023, the exposition of which is impressive. A tour of the museum leaves an indelible impression, and the atmosphere of the events described is conveyed very realistically and shivers. During the tour, tears come to my eyes from the realization of the events described.
The memorial itself is strong!
BUT if you have to move in a wheelchair or come with children in a stroller - a solid ZERO.
You can't see anything, there are ramps, but what's the point of them if there are 5cm holes between the tiles and you can only drive on huge wheels.
In short! It's better not to mess with fouls and small children here-you'll spend more nerves.
We spent only 3 days in Minsk, we decided that it was worth visiting this tragic place, getting acquainted with its history, visiting the memorial complex, museum. It is only an hour's drive from Minsk. To our deep disappointment, we faced difficulties and misunderstandings. It all started with the fact that you can't pay with a card. Only cash, which we don't have with us, yes, maybe this is our problem, but the complex is modern and it was a surprise for us to face this problem. But the main disappointment came with the fact that we were denied a visit with a dog. We travel a lot, and the only place where we encountered such an attitude was Dagestan. There it is justified by religion and in someone else's monastery, as they say. But the refusal to visit an open complex (!) is just on the street, we have encountered this for the first time in our entire life. We were threatened with fines and police. To which we simply turned around and left in a deep reminder of what a well-mannered dog, if necessary, moved in a backpack, can harm the complex or offend someone's feelings. I am sure that the residents of Khatyn had pets, dogs, cattle, why it is not clear to us. There were no signs anywhere that dogs are forbidden, neither on the spot, nor on the website, nor in the description. This is the first and hopefully the only disappointment from Belarus and we got it in this complex. Archaic rules and ill-will of the staff, as for me, offend the memory of this place much more than the unreasonable theoretical damage from visiting this place with a well-bred pet.
A must-visit .
In general, Belarus is a spiritual place .
Historical sites are highly appreciated .
A huge territory. The furnaces of the houses have been preserved , a memorial complex has been made . Clean , no specks , birches all around . You can visit just like that or buy an excursion. We didn 't make it , because we arrived late . They work until about 5 pm . After that, explore for yourself)
It's great that there is such a complex! My 10-year-old child and I are impressed and delighted that we were able to visit such a historical place. I want to say a special thank you to the guide of the complex, Peter! A young, but very knowledgeable young man. His speech is magnificent, clear, loud and correctly delivered, and how he reads poetry... Answers questions honestly. Thanks again for the tour and such a guide!
We visited the memorial complex on 05/11/2024. Well-maintained territory, an interesting interactive museum, there are excursions.
I'm lowering my rating due to the fact that we were actually kicked out of the museum half an hour after entering, because an excursion from the Ministry of Culture arrived. Warnings that we didn't have much time for inspection, we didn't have time to look at everything and left with an unpleasant aftertaste. This is not a very nice act on the part of the museum staff!!
If you are traveling in Belarus, then you definitely need to visit this place, and of course show it, tell the younger generation. A memorial to the events of 1943, when an entire village was burned down in response to the murder of a German captain by partisans by the SS Sonderkommando. More than 70 children died alone. The man who led the burning of the village in 1945 was captured by the French and beaten to death by them. At the very beginning there is a sculpture of a surviving blacksmith holding his son, who died from wounds on his hands. To the right of the sculpture is the crown of memory, there was a barn where people were burned. On the left is a mass grave. There are 26 "chimneys" around, concrete monuments on the site of houses that once stood. There are three birch trees and a slab near the eternal flame, symbolizing that every fourth resident of Belarus died during the war.

A glorious place of heroic memory. Belarusians are great! It is necessary to preserve the memorial as not only a tribute to memory, but also as a history lesson for future generations. It is on such examples that a real understanding of the world, patriotism and valor are brought up. Be sure to take your children on a field trip. No school program is as effective as visiting a memorial.

While in Minsk, we were thinking about what sights to visit in the district, my husband suggested such a great place as Khatyn. First of all, we went to the museum. There is a small souvenir shop at the checkout, both with symbols of the land of Khatyn and just Belarusians. We bought ourselves a small bison. Ticket prices are quite reasonable, 6 rubles per adult. We were very impressed by the interactive exposition. An employee of one of the halls kindly told us some details from the story, although we did not take the tour, for which we thank her very much. I came out of the museum with goosebumps and tears in my eyes, so I advise you to visit. After the museum, we walked through the territory of the memorial complex, looked at the main parts of the memorial. The obelisks on the sites of each of the houses that were burned down by the Nazis on that ill-fated day made a great impression. In such places, you begin to rethink your life. Despite the fact that Khatyn is a mournful place, it is something that should not be forgotten, and that should live in the hearts of people, so I recommend visiting this memorial to everyone!!!
A special place with powerful energy. Goosebumps. You can't forget that in any way! We also have our own Khatyn in the Leningrad Region - a Large District. Everyone should visit at least once in their life.
We were here on a guided tour. It is both a beautiful and frightening place. Everyone needs to visit: to honor the memory of the ancestors of those who died during the Great Patriotic War...
The arrangement and infrastructure of the complex for 5 points.and so this is a very atmospheric place about a terrible page in the history of the Great Patriotic War…
We were on Monday, so there were no excursions and the museum was a day off.But everything is clear in principle. Everything is very well maintained, it is clear that the dead are remembered and honored.I recommend everyone to visit this place so that they do not forget the story.
It is a very touching place, every 30 seconds there is a ringing sound, the atmosphere is creepy. This must not be forgotten!
The territory is large and well maintained.

The Memorial of Memory impressed, this period of our history should not be forgotten. Speaking of ours, I mean the state that fought with Nazi Germany. Not only Belarus, but the entire Soviet Union, all the peoples who participated in the liberation of Belarus, Ukraine and the entire territory of the then Soviet Union. The tour in the pavilion left an ambivalent impression... The tragedy and horror of those events are awe-inspiring in their inhumanity and cruelty. ...However, maybe I was not paying attention, but I did not hear that not only the long-suffering Belarusian people participated in the liberation of Belarus, but also all the peoples of the former Soviet Union: Russians, Ukrainians, Georgians, peoples of the North and many, many, many.... This was not mentioned in the context of the tour... and this caused confusion and spoiled the impression of this place of "Mourning" for the victims of Nazi Germany...
It's a good place! But the museum is probably not worth the money! You can go to the memorial without a museum, but we didn't know about it and at the entrance they said to buy a ticket, it's expensive! We went, looked at 4 rooms and came to a free memorial! The memorial is gorgeous, everywhere is clean, beautiful, well-groomed.
The memorial is gorgeous, but the museum is at your discretion, you didn't go to the museum a second time!

We were with the family. Large parking for cars and buses. There is a cafe, a souvenir shop, a toilet. We walked around the memorial complex, looked around, listened to the silence and the singing of birds. They put a candle in a small chapel. Clean and well-maintained territory. At night, I think the complex looks especially illuminated. We were without a guide, so the information on Khatyn is out of my head from history lessons at school.
It is a very interesting and sad place at the same time.
I advise you to visit 100%
The museum is very interesting, and very hard to impress.
Bottom line = If you haven't been here, then you definitely need to visit.
1 star simply for the fact that the place is memorable and preserves history, as well as for the incredible museum on the territory of the complex, in which the guide perfectly immersed in the atmosphere of those terrible days. Why 1 star? because during the tour, the guide Maria absolutely did not know the material. when you get to such places and pay the guide, you hope for maximum immersion in the place, but the girl did not know the material, constantly stammered, forgot the words and all the time corrected herself with the words "like this". I think this is unacceptable, it absolutely spoils the impression of the place. we listened to her for 5 minutes and went to explore the territory ourselves.
Even those who are far from the tragedy of the burning of Belarusian villages during the Great Patriotic War will feel the mournful atmosphere of the memorial. Tears come to my eyes. Everyone needs to visit so that they don't forget.

A very atmospheric place!!! Everything is clear , beautiful, well-groomed ... Completely immersed in the whole tragedy of this place!
Khatyn, a place of memory and sorrow, is located 30 minutes from Minsk. Excitement and tears in my eyes from understanding what was happening here in the spring of 1943. Now the birches are quiet and only the bronze bell, every 30 seconds, rings in memory of the dead residents.
The memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War, a poignant complex, thousands of villages and towns were wiped off the face of the earth, millions of civilians of the USSR were destroyed just like that, not human atrocities . It is vital to remember....When the bell rings- an indescribable feeling…
It's a scary place... A museum has opened near the entrance to the memorial.
Prices:
For children: 3 rubles
For students: 4 rubles
For adults: 6 rubles
However, for persons under 12 years of age, the museum is not recommended (but you can see it).
Every Belarusian should visit Khatyn.
The place is a must to visit in order to feel, think and realize what a feat our ancestors did for life on Earth.
Definitely with a guide, because they are great masters of their craft: unobtrusively, but soulfully convey all the necessary information
The street part was not allowed to enter the complex with an animal (a dog on a short leash next to the owner with a ton of health certificates and other things), there is no information about the ban on the site. There is no information stand. There is a small sticker -plate on the museum building, but this is understandable. And what is the problem with walking with an animal on the street? If there are any difficulties for your museum in an empty place, then INFORM visitors about it in advance. According to the guard, this is the desire of the museum director. I wonder if it's for weaklings to report their desires? And no one is interested in street animals that move around the territory free? Or is it necessary to take out the head of people who leave money in your country, and the museum management is unable to fight against street animals? Did you see a lot of screaming and running children during the walk, do you have any complaints about them either?
Why is the museum in an empty place - there are a lot of such villages, but for some reason they made a cult out of one. And the others are worse than that?
It's amazing! Every inhabitant of the Earth needs to see this!! During the war , the fascists destroyed and burned more than 600 settlements together with the inhabitants , Khatyn is only one of them , in memory of all ! The tour is overflowing with emotions , some even cried , but there are definitely no indifferent people ! The main monument at the entrance is a historical figure! The only surviving adult male! He found his son still alive and he died in his arms! The bell rings every 30 minutes . Goosebumps all over my body ! There are a lot of flowers , wreaths , and even more toys on the monuments , since most of the dead were children ! Eternal Flame , it is written on the monument that every 4 Belarusians died . 🙏🙏🙏
