The place is SOOO interesting. If you like to communicate with people, bargain, and absorb the good flavor of the country where you are located, then it is definitely worth visiting this market. There is historical and architectural value. But the prices, alas, are not the cheapest... It has been experimentally established that it is possible to find cheaper WHAT you will find on the market.
I was at the bazaar in September 2023. There are a lot of impressions left. It's easy to get lost in the beautiful streets of the bazaar. I dream of visiting this place again and getting more vivid admiration from what I saw. A good exchange rate in the depths of the streets.
Very contradictory emotions, but worth a visit! They are trading "like devils". Prices are sky-high, Louis Vuitton is all around. In general, it's funny to see how people getting off the tram are dressed in brands from head to toe. The bazaar itself is huge, like a maze, I went in and immediately got lost. Gold, carpets, souvenirs, leather, bags, bags, bags, you can not stop, they will immediately drag you to the store, they will treat you with tea, sweets and they will certainly sell you something. We bought bath towels (peshtemal), an amazing thing - I recommend it. And since they are bulky, we decided to buy a suitcase, which started here!🤦♀️😂 We were offered a wonderful, indestructible suitcase for 250 euros, the seller threw it against the wall, jumped on it, gave us a 100-year warranty, we haggled, even wanted to leave, but they wouldn't let us go. As a result, we bought it for 35 euros. So, bargain without hesitation.
Very colorful. The bazaar has a pleasant atmosphere. No one is bothering. You can look around and buy what you need. But it should be borne in mind that their pricing policy is such that prices need to be divided by 5 times before making a purchase) I advise you to visit the Grand Bazaar❤️
The place is exclusively tourist. The prices are inflated by 3 times, compared to the usual shops that come across on the street.
Take a walk, take a look... having previously mastered the subway.
Beautiful, interesting, original. You can find an exchanger with a better rate than in ordinary city exchangers. It's worth a visit - it's interesting, and there is a benefit
Very expensive. They trade reluctantly, some do not trade at all. But the same goods can be bought on the streets outside this market 5-10 times cheaper. The assessment is only for historical value.
The Grand Bazaar is located in the Fatih district directly opposite the tram stop. It is called, oddly enough, "Grand Bazaar". You can get to the legendary market through the entrance, protected by a frame with a metal detector. Inside there is a huge shopping area where everything is sold. Sellers partially know Russian and English, but the further you move away from the main alleys, the more likely it is that you will have to communicate with gestures. Clothing prices are lower than Russian ones, in any case, this is relevant for casual quality goods. The leather is wildly expensive: for a small handbag, the Turks wanted from 7 to 15 thousand rubles. With regard to branded clothing, everything is controversial here. If you don't want to stick, look for brands in boutiques. For those who love oriental aesthetics, there are many hookah bars and catering establishments in the Grand Bazaar area. In general, the Grand Bazaar allows you to return to childhood, when your parents dragged you to the market to buy new pants with "Batman".
Probably the most "colorful" place in Istanbul!
If you are in Istanbul, you will definitely visit! Huge in itself: it is hardly possible to return to the "entry point" for the first time. When we wandered through it, it seemed that it was endless at all.
It's full of everything. what the soul desires!
We bought very beautiful handmade chess there. Moreover, they bargained for a good price!
If you buy something, bargain! Here it is a "rule of good form". But at the same time be polite, and, I assure you, you will get a good price!
Grand Bazar - 5*!
It's not a clean place. But it is mandatory to visit. The merchants have the same thing, they couldn't find anything exclusive. But the atmosphere and of course the freshly squeezed juice for 70 lire is what you should go there for)!
A beautiful tourist place, a lot of people. The prices are overpriced, the product is beautifully laid out. If you go further, you will get to the shopping malls, where prices are lower and more willing to trade.
A noisy place, with a monotonous assortment. The exchange rates are worse than on the main street of Istanbul. There are a lot of smokers and left-hand goods. I can't even recommend watching it. An ordinary market, nothing supernatural. The presentation of the bazaar was different.

There is absolutely everything here! If you want to choose a gift of any format, you can safely come here and choose! A huge selection of any products
That's exactly where there's nothing to do. It's not about history or oriental exoticism. The market is purely for tourists. The only historical thing in the Grand Bazaar is the building itself. You will definitely not experience any flavor of originality here. There is another market nearby - Arasta, it is much nicer and more comfortable there.
In general, if you have a desire to be nostalgic and plunge into the atmosphere of any Russian clothing market of the 90s, welcome.
Well, what can I say - a large indoor market with fairly high prices. They sell everything according to the standard for Turkey - from sweets to fur and jewelry. The architecture is beautiful. That's it
Ah, the grand bazaar!!!! The place is exclusively tourist. Take a look. I do not recommend buying everything much more expensive than in shops or small shops. Although.... If you know how to bargain, then you can reduce the price by half
We walked along the shopping streets of the Grand bazaar. Very nice, the prices are high. After all, this is more of a museum attraction. Definitely worth a visit.
It's fun to walk. But everything is expensive. For shopping, it is better to go to a normal bazaar. Three times if not 4 times cheaper. In order to feel the atmosphere, walk around, hang out. They will be touted everywhere and everywhere. But not for shopping
Market. Large, diverse, a lot of goods. In the center there is mainly a souvenir shop, along the edge there are more utilitarian things and more affordable prices. Security service at the entrance.
As I understand it, this is the whole area, the mark on the map is the gate of the bazaar. The prices are different, there are a lot of people and only on foot.
An interesting authentic place for a hiking trip! But in terms of food purchases: such as teas or dried fruits, be careful! Almost all products are infected with beetles or weevil larvae!!! Do you know who they are? Buy 100 grams of dried strawberries at the Grand Bazaar or at the Egyptian Market in Istanbul and you can study insects without leaving the cash register 🤓
A picturesque place for a walk. The assortment of the sadovod market.

Even if you are not going to buy anything, this place is definitely worth a visit! It is very atmospheric and colorful in an oriental way! When buying something, be sure to bargain!)
The size of the bazaar is very impressive. The oriental flavor is simply wonderful! It's beautiful, just a lot of tourists. I was just thrilled! The assortment is a classic set of goods for tourists.
The Grand Bazaar, this is exactly the Grand bazaar! It seems to me that it has no beginning and no end! They sell everything, sweets , teas, clothes, shoes, gold! The main thing is to find a way out! And be prepared for the fact that you will go out in a completely unfamiliar place!
I will not say that it is necessary to visit, but there you can find a lot of goods from sweets to outerwear. Huge, but at the same time the product is all monotonous
It is more like a museum than a bazaar, there are many shops with different goods, but there are not so many buyers. The prices are very high. But the exchange rate is good.
OH, that's SOMETHING! To come to Istanbul and not visit the Grand Bazaar is a wedding without music. Moreover, there is no need to shop in the bazaar itself - everything is very expensive, purchases must be made on the outskirts of it, in wholesale street shops, but the bazaar itself must be visited in order to feel the arc of oriental trade.
I didn't like it at all (loud, fussy, intrusive merchants, a lot of people. The only disappointment is from Istanbul and the whole of Turkey. Expectations and reality did not match. They fled from there. I hope other visitors will have better luck.
This is a huge indoor market, you just need to get lost here, because it's just not possible to navigate where you are)) A large market continues around the covered part, where prices are lower than in the main part of the Grand Bazaar. As a place for a colorful walk, it's great.
I put 5, but I expected to see a beautiful bright bazaar, but it is more or less beautiful only when you enter from the main entrance. I came in from the other end and it looked kind of creepy. 😄
I took a picture somewhere in another small bazaar - I liked it more there.
The ancestor of all Cherkizons.
The crush. Uneven floor. Narrow slits.
All the shops have a lot of monotonous goods of unknown origin and quality.
THE MUSEUM OF THE CUNNING ART OF DECEPTION, THE ELEGANT SKILL OF SNIFFING, SELLING, CHEATING :))
It's worth going. An interesting phenomenon that has almost been forgotten among us. A peculiar architecture. But keep your wallets away. And most importantly, do not buy ANYTHING :))
By the way, there are a lot of shops around the bazaar with the same and even more diverse assortment, but there is no such crowd and the art of deception.
Advice to the organizers: turn on oriental background music, the dress code of the merchants, focus on historical uniqueness - and the people will participate in the performance, as it were.
I don't know if it's possible to come to Istanbul and not visit the Grand Bazaar. Of course, everyone's impressions may be different and it depends on what mood you went there with. I really liked it: the goods are of excellent quality - I wanted to buy everything from souvenirs to clothes and carpets), the sellers are polite and intelligent, they are happy to give in price), and the Bazaar itself is very atmospheric - a real Istanbul! I am glad that we visited it and took away purchases, impressions and photos as a souvenir!
