The hotel is just a cannon bomb, we have been there for two years in a row, we like everything, the main thing is the price 🤣the pool is clean, the sea is nearby, the location is excellent,near the market, shops, cafes. The food is ordinary, canteen, since this year beer, wine, chacha are included. Animation for children, discos, children's room, between breakfast, lunch, snacks, ice cream, burgers, cookies, popcorn. The rooms are acceptable, cleaning every day, a large hall, there is a place to relax, have a beer. I generally recommend it 👍

The location is very convenient, it will do for a budget holiday.
Among the advantages there is a varied buffet menu, a well-equipped beach.
Of the minuses: there was no entertainment program, the 3-year-old child had nothing to do, there were puddles and mud on the playground, it was not suitable.
The rooms were cleaned daily, but the towels were never changed in 5 days.
In the dining room, the meal is scheduled for breakfast from 8 to 10 and if you come at 9, then many dishes are no longer available and the choice remains what is left.

We were from October 11 to October 20. The building is renovated, everything is white and beautiful. The rooms have an almost full-length mirror, which is nice. The mattress is very nice and comfortable. Jellyfish pillows. For an amateur. The view from the balcony in all directions is amazing. We lived on the 16th floor. The elevator is long. The eternal expectation of a miracle and it's not in season. Dining room))) we named it 33 chicken dishes. Something is delicious, something is not. The biggest disadvantage, in my opinion, and vacationers agree with me, the smell from the dining room spreads for half a kilometer. And it starts to annoy on the third day. In Abkhazia, you want the smell of eucalyptus and the sea!!!

Great hotel. The price corresponds to the quality. The hotel is new, everything is clean, bright and cozy. At the reception, the administrators will always help and tell you. There is a medical professional, which is very pleasing. The hotel has a varied buffet. Everything is delicious. There is also a dining room additionally at 10 a.m. where you can eat tea and a bun, also at 15 you can take wings, French fries there, the bar works where beer, chacha and wine are included from 10 to 22. Juice without restriction. Excellent animators work, there is an entertainment program for children and adults. The heated pool is very comfortable for children. We stayed at this hotel from 09/20/2924 to 09/29/2024. The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean, the heated pool, the hotel staff is friendly, they respond quickly and adequately to any questions. The dining room is large, there was enough food for everyone, the range of dishes is good, there is always fruit for lunch, a meager assortment of pastries for tea. A small minus in the dining room is not always hot food, I had to heat it in the microwave, but the plus is that it is there! The rooms were cleaned daily and personal hygiene products were updated. There is always hot water. Change of bed linen every 5 days! I was disappointed with the elevator, there are only 2 of them!!! on 18 floors, and one was constantly out of order!!! We lived on the 16th floor - the sea view is gorgeous. From the shared balcony, the mountain view is not inferior at all! 200 meters from the hotel to the sea, there were enough sun beds for everyone, the beach bar is paid! The rest was a success! Good afternoon! We are currently resting at this hotel. We really like everything! The room is cleaned daily and very efficiently. Air conditioning, TV, WiFi - everything works fine. Meals - special THANKS to the staff!!! Everything is fresh and delicious, food for any preference (meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, pastries, pancakes, etc.), there are snacks in the form of French fries, wings, kupat, donuts (insanely delicious)! Alcohol is of high quality, without restrictions (the guys are also cool, always smiling, friendly, and patient). The pool is always clean, the area is cleaned. Animation for children during the day and in the evening. Animator Yaroslav is a SUPERHERO for children, a smart girl!!! The children are delighted with him! Adults also do not get bored by the pool - water polo, volleyball, Yaroslav will arrange everything!!! It's rare to meet such guys. Of course, there is a minus in the hotel:
- the elevator is long (we live on the 18th floor), sometimes we have to go down and climb on foot ...
- there is no phone to contact the reception. In general, I highly recommend visiting here. There are 1000 times more advantages than disadvantages. We are resting today for the last day in room 705. We really enjoyed the rest. The hotel is super for that kind of money. The rooms are clean, the maid is always friendly. The food is excellent. Wine, chacha, beer for free. Everything is of pretty good quality. The weather let us down, but we went on an excursion in the rain. We will definitely come again. I wish you all the best and prosperity. The only negative is that the pool did not work (in the sense it was not heated.

The hotel left a lot of pleasant emotions. But of course, as everywhere there are flaws. The food is great. The buffet in the dining room is a little boring, but overall it is very tasty, there is plenty to choose from. People are wild - in the first half hour from the start of the meal, they sort out all the fruits and cakes. If necessary, it is better to come to the very beginning. During breaks, they give coffee, sweets, popcorn, ice cream, fries, chicken wings, lula.
You can't bring alcohol into the dining room, these are the rules...
The beach is not equipped, this is a minus. We were at the end of May, people were already swimming, not many, but still. It would be worth putting at least sun loungers in advance. I think they will wake up only by July. There are a lot of dogs.
The pool is very nice, heated. But there is a huge disadvantage: CHILDREN JUMP OFF THE SIDES, ALTHOUGH THERE IS A SIGN " PROHIBITED ". No one is watching this.

For me personally, there was not enough delicious coffee in the morning, a coffee machine or a car in the lobby would not hurt at all) In general, you will not stay hungry. But it's definitely not worth waiting for frills. Tip: do not try everything in the first two days of your stay, so that you do not get bored of food quickly)). Naturally, like all of us, we walked for a couple of hours due to the fact that the lights were turned off before a thunderstorm and we were walking with a 4-year-old child and I, 5 months pregnant, to the 18th floor, after lunch
- the rooms are very small, especially if you can't walk between the bed and the table, you can only cross the bed to the balcony. I'm not a very picky person about rooms, because I work in the field of aviation, and for me, hotels are my home. So I won't write about the number, there are enough reviews, there are no shelves for milking shampoos, etc.
- probably the biggest and FATTEST MINUS is the DINING ROOM, on the 4th day of our stay they put an antiseptic on and put up a sign at the reception rotovirus, it's everywhere there. Once again, I flew all over the country and not only ours, and I didn't catch the rotovirus anywhere, so here I was also sure that it wouldn't get me. But that was not the case. We had a rest with the company at the Rossiya Hotel in the period from 10/19/2024 to 10/25/2024.
A tour package was purchased: all inclusive (three meals a day and a snack bar), drinks all day without restrictions, equipped beach, heated pool.
In fact, of course, everything is completely wrong. The pool is just icy, and at the same time the hotel staff said that it was warming up. There are no sun beds and equipped beach. We went to the reception, first they told us to ask the lifeguard, whom we never saw on the beach, then they told us that the season was closed and all tour operators were aware of this, the season was officially closed. Although the information desk lists the closing date of the season at the hotel on 01.11.2024. The receptionist promised to provide us with an official document, which we did not wait for. There are paid sun beds from the cafe on the beach, apparently the season has not been closed for them.
The food leaves much to be desired, just a dining room, the food is tasteless from the word at all. Rice porridges and so on are just cereals filled with water and milk, you can't even call it soup. The food is not updated, if you ate the first stream of tourists, it means there is no more cheese, you will get it only at an early breakfast, then finish what you have. During our entire stay, there was not a single normal soup, either cabbage soup or borscht of the same color and taste. There are always no appliances in the dining room, plastic forks were already given out in the middle of dinner. There is no baking, or rather it is brought, everything is disassembled and that's it. Food is a huge minus. As for the drinks, from those declared without restrictions, there were only concentrates, wine and chacha, beer was poured for exactly two hours at most, one barrel, then it ran out. There is no drinking water on the territory at all, even in the dining room, only to buy. The explanation about the lack of beer -no, we did not expect so many tourists, which is interesting - the package of services was sold at full cost. The hotel administration does not know what the occupancy rate of the hotel is and at the same time everyone goes in advance, buying tours. BUT they did not hear us, they continued to work with such a limited regime for tourists.
There is no animation there. There was one boy, turned on the speaker, conducted exercises and that's it, children in the nursery sometimes held master classes and that's it. There will be no music on the territory until you ask, even background music, they saved themselves with their speakers. Entertainment options include table tennis and billiards. Tennis without balls, if you want to play, buy it yourself)). And billiards is a broken cue, rewound with tape. For such a big name, the Grand Hotel Russia is even a bit shameful. Except for the reception and a small area between the pool and the hotel, there is nothing to do at all. The declared aqua aerobics never took place, because the animator did not get into the "Heated" pool).
The weather was different during our stay, from storms to sunny days. The hotel claims to operate on an all-inclusive system, but the conditions do not correspond to those stated and the quality leaves much to be desired.
We understand that this is Abkhazia and what kind of service can be here, but then sell real packages of services, and do not deceive tourists, while the hotel declares that the tour operator is aware, absolving itself of responsibility for the unreliability of the package of services sold. The conclusion is that I definitely don't want to go back.

The food is excellent, varied and delicious, of the level of a high-quality dining room. The staff is helpful and friendly. The only drawback is the elevators, which are sooo moody..they work every other time..they want to go..they don't want to and write a preponderance when there are only 7 people instead of the required 10. The second disadvantage is the chairs in the dining room..well, sooo heavy and slippery tile floor is constantly such a shuffling of these chairs that completely spoils the appetite! Everything else is on the level including free ice cream..popcorn..chacha.. wine..beer and juices. So only 4 stars! But I would have come again! Gudauta is a super town and the beaches are very decent!

There is not a bad bar on the beach with drinks where bottled beer costs 100 rubles. I lived on the 15th floor, the sea view was gorgeous, the air conditioner worked, I always walked - it's good for my health, the elevators are overloaded, people go to the 5th, 7th floor by elevator, queues. Every 3 days, the cards in the rooms are blocked, it is better to update them in advance so that you do not run to the reception several times. In the evening, a disco for adults, also the same playlist, the windows could not be opened until 22 because the number was 1520 very loudly - a problem with ventilation, constantly worked and prevented sleep, bought earplugs otherwise you would not fall asleep (I contacted the reception desk, no one cares about you, they said they made an application, but no one solved the problem). We stayed at this hotel from July 13 to 22, 2024,. A room on the 18th floor with a sea view. Pros: great view from the window, the room is clean, there is a hairdryer, air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, water is running well. A kettle is provided on request. The food is normal, there is always something to take. The sea is clean and warm, dolphins were seen almost every morning near the shore. The room is cleaned every day, linen and towels are changed once every four days. The hotel provides animation for children and adults. Of the minuses, the most important thing is the elevators, you have to wait a long time, but my husband and I always went down on foot, in fact it's easy, because each floor has a balcony, you can admire the view of the mountains and breathe fresh air. Twice a day we walked up to the 18th floor instead of charging)) and to save time. Another disadvantage: on the way to the beach, there is a very strong smell from garbage cans and sewers. It would be very nice if a large sunshade was made on the beach, like on the neighboring beach. We did not get sick with rotovirus, because we observed basic hygiene, drank and brushed our teeth with bottled water. In general, we were satisfied with the rest. The sea is just super!!!

The biggest disadvantage of this hotel is the canteen, there was no other word. And the vacationers themselves, who behave outrageously - they arrange pandemonium before the opening, then run to the distribution line - it was a SHOCK for us, we have never seen this anywhere. They grab the dishes and it starts- there are queues everywhere, people are picking up this food as if they had never eaten in their lives. They collect huge portions, over and over, everything falls out, then they don't eat it, leaving again full plates. Spanish shame. Do you really disrespect yourself so much that you have to behave like this???? They put the fruits in their bags with plates. Naturally, there are not enough fruits for those who come in an hour. It's the same with other food. They also put them in bags and take them away with them.
The waiters are young guys. It's a shame that it's like this. They look at it and are also shocked. If something runs out of food, they take it out. After lunch, we went to the room, we had an economy room on the 16th floor with a balcony overlooking the mountains. We knew about the elevator situation in advance after reading the reviews, but I must say right away, during the week of rest we never climbed the stairs and did not stand waiting for more than 5 minutes. People perceive this situation too acutely, they swear, but you just need to relax and relax. The elevator was breaking down, but it was repaired in a few hours, it just has a very heavy load, children and the elderly come in and press all the buttons. In general, there was nothing critical.
I liked the room very much. Beautiful views, clean, comfortable bed, refrigerator, TV, hair dryer, air conditioning. There is a clothes dryer. There was cleaning every day, the maids were the nicest girls. The bedclothes were not changed, but we didn't need to for a week. Shampoos, gels, soaps and toilet paper were constantly being used. On the downside: the shower didn't drain well, and in recent days dogs could be heard barking at night if you didn't close the balcony.
The next thing I want to tell you about is the sea. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to it, in general, the hotel stands on the shore. There is a private beach, they look after it, there is no garbage. There are always enough sunbeds, some come, others go, so those who write that they were left without a couch probably looked badly. I will add that there were a lot of people. The sea is gorgeous, transparent, there were days with waves, there were days with complete calm. Of the cons: there is a smell of sewage, but not much and mostly only on the road, there are a lot of dogs (not only on the beach, but also throughout Abkhazia), but they do not touch anyone, they just lie in the shade, and pebbles, it is very difficult to go into the sea barefoot (I advise you to buy special shoes in advance).
The next category is food and dining. We also read a lot of bad reviews before the trip, but I can say with confidence that everything is a myth. The food is very good. The food is quite varied, for 7 days I have not repeated a single dish for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything is quite simple, but delicious. There is always tea, coffee only for breakfast, dried fruit compotes, yogurt, milk. There is always lemon for tea. 3 types of soup, 3 types of salads, 2 sauces (both very tasty, although simple), 3 side dishes, etc. The dishes changed every day. Baking, but we didn't eat because we were full. Fruits for lunch and dinner (figs, plums, oranges, apples, watermelon), to be honest, it was really necessary to fight for watermelon for dinner, it was snapped up very quickly. But, so that you understand, all dishes, including fruits, are periodically taken out as they end. Therefore, I advise you not to come at the beginning, but later, when the grandmothers and most of the children leave. There is no hype without them. There was no shortage of dishes, they wash them all the time. The dishes are really old and a little battered, but the hotel has 3 stars, so nothing critical. Perhaps bad reviews of food are written by those who rest for a long time. Then everything will really be boring, but we liked everything for a week, I attach a photo.
There was a coffee break, but we were at the sea at that time, and we didn't want to eat after breakfast. There was a grill too: French fries, wings, hot sandwiches, burgers. It was delicious, but unfortunately everything was cold. The bar served beer, wine, and chacha, but we're not drinkers, so I can't say anything. The juices were of 4 types, delicious, better than in our stores, in vain people write that they are diluted. They also gave out ice cream (fruit ice, but different) and sweet popcorn, there was no cotton wool. You can approach as much as you want, no one limits you. You can't take food out of the dining room, but we bypassed this rule by simply putting what we wanted in a container and in a purse, for example, when we went on an excursion or just fruits. No one stopped or searched.
The pool is warm, music is playing, but we have never swum in it, because there are a lot of children and bleach.
Regarding rotavirus: there were patients, mostly children, but only a few of them. We did not get sick, we followed basic preventive measures: hand washing, there is a sanitizer in the dining room, do not swallow water in the sea and pool, wash fruits from the market and shops before eating. People bought water in five liters to wash themselves, but we did it under the tap and everything is fine, you don't need to bring it to the point of absurdity.
There really won't be any drinking water in the room, but we bought a bottle of mineral water and we didn't even finish it during the whole vacation.
We went on an excursion to Lake Ritsa, the views are beautiful, but be prepared that the price in the price list is not the end. The additional expenses turned out to be more than the tour itself.
The hot water, lights and Wi-Fi in the hotel were on all the time and worked fine.
In general, the impressions of the vacation are only positive, there are disadvantages, but you can close your eyes to them and relax in peace. Do not forget that this is not Turkey and not 5 stars.

3. THE DINING ROOM. It's like a buffet, there must be a variety, everything is almost the same, one chicken, liver and cutlets. No pork or beef. The only fruits we saw were apples and oranges. There are a lot of disadvantages. The staff is not attentive, does not seek to listen and help the vacationers of the hotel. There are no dishes in the dining room, there are constant queues. To eat, you need to complete a quest: find a plate, take a table and clear the queue.Everything is dirty. Everything always ends: there is never condensed milk for breakfast, there was a watermelon once for the whole week, and it ended right away, it feels like 2 watermelons were cut for the whole hotel. There are no pillows for an extra place, I had to sleep on my things in the room. There is no drinking water anywhere, elementary coolers could be installed through each floor. A cafe with beer and ice cream was promised from the site, there is nothing like this on the beach. The sunbeds are quickly disassembled, and it is impossible to take them out beyond 50 meters, the entire territory is divided. A small part of what happened is written here. I stayed at this hotel from October 19th to 25th.
I'll start with the room: toy pillows, one blanket, extra. the place is not available, there is no heating in the room, only a heater on demand, the toilet is loose, the towel and bed linen were changed only for the 5th day
Regarding the elevators: sometimes I had to wait, but it should be easier to treat it, you came to rest (I waited for a maximum of 10 minutes for the elevator)
There is food to choose from in the dining room, there is not much choice, but you will not stay hungry, sometimes there was a problem with forks
There are a lot of dogs, but it's all over the city, they're harmless (but big). Some even accompany me. They only bark at each other
In the hotel in recent days, after 9, the lights were turned off for 10-15 minutes, the Wi-Fi worked poorly, they had to switch endlessly, the pool was heated (although the workers claimed that from), the water was icy, the sea was warmer

At the same time, the rest is excellent, the sea is within walking distance, the pool is excellent, there are many free snacks (ice cream, grill bar, popcorn ...)
