The hornblower is not bad
The disadvantages of the route are prepared in the evening if it snows at night, in the morning the tracks are very quickly broken up.
The opening of the cable car at 10 a.m. is very late if you declare yourself as a European-level resort, then you need to open at least at 8 a.m.
Hotels and crazy-priced cafes are very expensive and generally not wow.
Mountain skiing is what else you need. There are very good slides in the morning. There are many trails. There are both virgin land and rolled pieces. Shawarma in Snow Park fire)
I really liked it. We lived next to the gondola, 50 meters from the entrance to the lift. We went on New Year's holidays. The sun shines from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the same 7 hours of continuous skiing in a sea of snow.
We were in Switzerland, now in Gudauri, there is no difference. And if there is no difference, why pay more. However, there is only one grocery store in new Gudauri. And the prices are not small. But there are many cafes, restaurants, and ski rental points.
One of the best ski resorts I've been to. It is not as big as the old European resorts, but for that it is completely new, modern, with perfect quality slopes!
It is very boring in summer, half of the restaurants are closed. There is nowhere to buy meat to roast.

A very cool ski resort!
Lots of trails, stunning views, accommodation near the ski lifts.
Convenient location
There are cafes, bars, massages and a sauna after a wheelchair!
Super
One of the best ski resorts I've been to, lots of trails, no queues for lifts, good service and instructors

I've been here 2 times, I really like the resort, I like the wide long trails, low traffic. Affordable prices in cafes on the mountains. Everywhere there is a very high exchange rate in exchangers, change money in advance. I lost 10% of the trip budget on the course.
It's a wonderful place, the mountains are magnificent. The New Gudauri complex is brand new, built in the style of Austrian villages. There is absolutely everything there. There again this year!
The worst ski trip I've ever seen. Everyone just doesn't care about you and your vacation. It snowed intensively for 4 days, but there are no snow trucks or any work on the tracks, while there is an official ban on climbing with equipment on the only included lift. Referring to the fact that there is not enough snow yet, no one turns on the guns, simply because they don't care, at the same time they turned them on when there was no snow at all. You may ask why? The answer lies in the locals - they are not related to companies and investments invested in skiing, but they have snowmobiles on which they will take you up for a cosmic price (one ascent from 50 to 100 GEL) . And as it would seem nothing new, the only problem is that the agency, for some reason existing here to determine whether it is possible to let people with equipment on a working lift, is also local.... And there is a direct link between the income of the "snowmobile gang" and the local ones themselves. No one forbids you to walk and ride wherever you want - no one cares, even if you go along the same highway where there is not enough snow to climb, no one cares.... The purpose of the ban is to earn money bypassing the ticket office of the mountain ski.
The instructors here are the same gang - they used to actively practice paragliding here, but because of an accident everything was banned, so all random "paragliders" are now snowboard and ski instructors, without documents, without licenses, and most importantly, I myself witnessed how such an "instructor" went to find out from another "instructor" how to fasten boots to skis ... at the same time, there is repeated evidence on the Internet that these "instructors" are united and threatening to displace any non-locals. This explains the monopoly of this nonsense.
Prices for everything range from x3 to x10 in comparison with Tbilisi. In conclusion, I will say that my advice is: go anywhere, but not here - in general, everything related to the staff is bad ... anyone, starting from the staff in the apartments and ending with local "helpers". For example, yesterday a snowmobile flew into a crowd of skaters, one was taken away by an ambulance. Where do you think the snowmobiles are? That's right, we are back on duty in a huge number ready to raise people))) The purpose of this whole "village" under the guise of a skier is to heat you up for money. The conditions and service are worse and more expensive than in the worst places, even in Russia. Although, it would seem, the service and Russia are breaking records, but the local ones are even worse.
The length and variety of safe trails is impressive!
But especially, there are great opportunities for novice freeriders🏂
Accommodation for any request from 50 to 250$
Ski pass 30$
The mountains are cool, the trails are good. With the weather, the main thing is to be lucky, Georgian hospitality is a cannon, and the kitchen is generally a rocket
I liked it, although I am a very sophisticated "wheeler" myself. There are no queues, the lifts are normal, the rescuers are working normally, there are even police on the slopes. The routes can be marked better and clearer, they could be much wider. But it seems to me that for my money, in general, it is very good.
Good afternoon, everyone. We came with colleagues to take a ride in Georgia for a week. We stopped in the village of Stepantsminda-an hour to the ski lifts by car. Krestovsky Pass has been closed for the 3rd day in a row, the lifts to Gudauri are not working due to weather conditions. I understand that this is nature, but apparently this is a common story here. But is it really impossible to think of an alternative route to the wheelchair in such a number of years?
Not only tourists suffer from this, but also freight transport, people who want to get to Tbilisi, etc.
Summary: I do not recommend going for a ride in Gudauri, the weather and logistics of the country are too unpredictable. The vacation is ruined
The mountain and the resort are top, but be careful on the slopes-you may not notice how you moved off the blue onto the black highway, and then generally flew off it into a protruding piece of stone, and otherwise the top
Great resort! Cheaper than Krasnaya polyana, arkhyz and dombay. There are no queues for the lift. The service and food are excellent. Ski pass 15 dollars a day
It's a great place. The pitchfork is super. the local cuisine is also just a bomb.the prices are reasonable.the only disadvantage is that it is far to go and the border...
It was my first ski resort outside of Russia. The neighbors on the chairlift praised it, but they say the service is better in Europe. Even in Siberia, people speak more responsibly, the temperature is lower there, but here everything is Humpty Dumpty. But I liked it. The weather is flying and the Tatra 1 highway, for an insecure snowboarder like me)))
Hookah is very expensive in new Gudauri, they did not say how much it costs, we brought the bill. The food is very tasty, but it also came out more expensive than we expected.
A wonderful ski resort. Excellent trails, there are no queues for lifts. Low cost of ski pass and equipment rental. Excellent Georgian cuisine, low prices - a paradise for active and not very relaxing
The best ski resort. In many ways, it will anticipate the Sochi glade and the rose.
Due to the height at which it is located, there is no forest, and the width of the trails is flying.
We were also pleased with the prices of ski passes. Well, you can talk endlessly about the wonderful features of the local mentality! Georgia - van love! We will come back here one day, for sure, as soon as the politicians end their period of aggravation!
