I wanted to leave a review about my trip to Hampi. Hampi is 100% worth visiting and definitely with a guided tour. There are a lot of locations, my husband and I are delighted, everything is very cool. We really liked our guide Roman, he told us everything very informative and interesting. The most professional in his field. The trip was very comfortable, we drove a Toyota jeep, the time flew by unnoticed. Thanks! I highly recommend this agency.
A review of our trip to India from the Guiding Star company!
I am very glad that I chose such a tour from the company in advance. I had no experience visiting the country, so I didn't know which places I should definitely visit, but I wanted to cover the vastness as much as possible in 5 days.
Firstly, we booked the tour in advance from Russia, and paid for some of it in rubles, which was very convenient.
Secondly, the whole program was customized for us.
We visited the golden triangle - Delhi, Jaipur and Agra. We didn't have enough time in Delhi, it definitely takes more than 1 day to get to this city, we managed to see 4 places. We were told to go to the temple barefoot, but everyone was wearing socks, and after that, we also started taking socks so as not to get sick. Our favorite city from the golden triangle is Jaipur, it's definitely worth going there! We were amazed in Jaipur by the guide Yusuf, who spoke Russian, showed us the most authentic places, and answered our thousand and one questions. We would also like to single out the driver on the trip - he was a great guy, he was on guard all the time that we were traveling, was polite to us, spoke excellent English and advised us. We were a little disappointed due to the fact that in January there was a very heavy fog in Agra and it was difficult to see the Taj Mahal, but they also adjusted to us and we went a little later than planned so that the monument could be seen. It would be great if, before the trip, we were told that we could ask for extra blankets, and that in the evening we should ask to turn on the hot water and ask for the menu in the cafe before ordering, otherwise we can have a small cup of tea for 250 rupees (with a standard of 10). Overall, we really enjoyed it, but it would have been better to spend another day in Delhi.
Then we went to the ancient city of Varanasi. We were very lucky, because the group's flight was canceled the day before, although we were delayed by 1 hour, but we arrived! It's just an amazing city with a real authentic India. We were super lucky with our Diving guides, who spoke excellent Russian and showed us the origins of Buddhism, as well as Natalia, who ran 20 km with us with warmth, understanding and courage from 6 a.m. to evening. We asked all the questions that we had accumulated in 4 days, and we were completely calm, because we had a real guide to the world of Hinduism with us! We are very grateful for the hotels that were chosen for us, it was very cozy and comfortable. When the flight to Varanasi was delayed, manager Tatiana wrote to everyone in advance that we were delayed due to the weather, so that they would wait for us when we had no communication.
However, one thing should be noted, the schedule is quite tight - we'll take off at 5 a.m., 6 a.m., 5 a.m. commute, traffic jams, flights, but believe me - it's worth it!
We are going with pleasant impressions from our first trip to India, with new knowledge, impressions, memories of Indian culture, people, temples and sights. I recommend this company and wish them prosperity and development! We will be glad to visit other places with this company on our next visit.
We went on guided tours 4 times: to Hamapi (2018), the Golden Triangle (2019), the caves of Ajanta and Ellora and Mumbai (2024). Everything was perfect every time. This year we visited the caves with our guide Ksenia, and the impressions were fantastic - both from the guide's organizational work and from how much she can tell on literally any topic, from history to everyday life. We had a great time in Mumbai with our guide Sofia. We got acquainted not only with the architecture, but also with the colorful local cafes and tea house. It's also a great experience.
