We had a wonderful weekend at this place. Nice clean room, very cozy courtyard. We were with a 5—year-old child and an infant - it was very comfortable with children. Delicious food, excellent breakfast, pleasant atmosphere, very friendly staff, made you feel at home. The temple and the Symphony of Stones are within walking distance.
We looked at several restaurants in Garni, but chose this one, because it was quiet inside. This is an important point, because we had lunch with a 3-month-old infant. The food was carried for more than an hour, even the salad was not brought early. Drinks (cola and tea) were also carried for a super long time, more than 30 minutes.
The food is basically delicious, but what happened at the end of our stay interrupted any pleasant impressions: I started feeding the baby, my husband asked for the bill at that time. While I was feeding, a huge crowd of teenagers gathered on the terrace next to us and turned on music incredibly loudly through the restaurant's speaker. The husband approached the waiter to ask him to turn down the volume at least a little, to which the waiter replied, "well, you're leaving soon anyway, and here's a group of customers." The music was not only not turned down, it was turned up even louder after our request. When I finished feeding the baby, I went over to tell the waiter that this was a pig's attitude towards us, so loud the music scared the child. Some furious-looking restaurant employee came running and told me that the restaurant was a public place, and if I didn't like something, then I could feed the child somewhere else. And this group of young people generally wanted to surprise some famous singer who came with them, and what does my child care about loud music.
From this, I conclude that famous clients are more important than others. Also, since we have already paid the bill, then you can not try to keep the level of service, and treat us like garbage. And we just asked you to turn down the sound, not turn it off!
Unprofessional unpleasant people work in this place.
We stayed with an excursion, baked pita bread - it was very tasty. A very friendly hostess. She makes blanks herself: jams, dried fruits, you can buy good branded wine and of course souvenirs. Lunch is even tastier than in the best restaurants. We will definitely come in the summer.
We stopped by for lunch with a tour group. The freshly baked pita bread, compote, and homemade wine were delicious. The rest of the dishes did not make an impression.
We've been to this restaurant. Initially, I liked everything, except for the slowness of the staff as a minus. Own bakery, nice yard, good food. But the whole impression was blurred when a group of young people came. The music was turned on so that it was impossible to rest. When asked to make it a little quieter, the answer was stunning!!!!! "You're already leaving!...."
In general, it became clear that the attitude towards tourists is not very good. We paid! And that's it, now you can not stand on ceremony!
It's a shame that you ruined all the good impression of their establishment!
The impression of the restaurant is good. The service is fast, the food is delicious. We took a chicken kebab, it turned out to be grilled chicken legs - not exactly what we expected, and the portion is not enough for a hungry tourist - there is not enough meat for a man. We were in the restaurant as part of a tour group with a guide, we took a set lunch, perhaps with a regular order of a larger portion
Everything is fine and unhurried. Whatever you want, just ask and it will be done. Quiet guesthouse, with good breakfasts, with a garden of cherries. We were treated to a whole large plate of cherries and apricots. There are minor flaws such as the absence of a mirror in the room, for example, but this is bullshit. Yes, and TV 1 in the common area. But he is not needed there, enjoy Garni, his temple and a trip to Geghard. The guesthouse is well located, 5 minutes walk to the temple.
Very friendly hostess of the establishment!!! And what kind of pita bread is baked there!!! Mmmm, it's DELICIOUS!! Herbal tea or coffee with dried fruits is the perfect end to a hearty meal!!!
The ordered tea was carried for half an hour, while the prices were like in expensive restaurants in Yerevan. Apparently, they focus only on imported excursions, and not on the development of the service.
This is one of the few places near the temple where you can sit indoors in January. The cafe has expanded significantly compared to the old photos, there is a children's play area. The food is normal, hot, the prices are reasonable.
