A wonderful sandy beach is the beach of the Indian Ocean. The golden yellow sand is pleasant to the touch. In the sun, the sand glows with the brilliance of individual grains of sand, reminiscent of the glint of snowflakes in our winter in frosty weather. The water is very pleasant in terms of temperature and wave size, you can swim here, just like on the Black Sea! Great!!!
A decent beach for Sri Lanka. Huge turtles, small sharks, moray eels and just a lot of different fish can be seen even without going into the sea. By evening, many parrots arrive, and crows fly around the clock.
The reef protects from huge waves. And this is one of the few beaches in Hiki where you can always swim.
We stayed for a rest near another beach, Induruva. And we went to Hikkaduwa Beach to see it. I didn't like the large number of people on the beach, it wasn't cozy. But this is my subjective perception. Hikkaduwa area will be interesting for those with children who want to have more infrastructure and hangouts nearby. We came for a more secluded, relaxing vacation, away from the noise. And this is definitely not Hikkaduwa beach)))
