One of my cousins is currently in Macau. If anyone doesn't know, this is one of the special administrative regions of China (like China and not China at the same time).
She really likes it there. As you know, Macau is the Las Vegas of Southeast Asia, respectively, a huge amount of entertainment, casinos, concert venues, etc.
Anyway, yesterday in our chat she began to talk about the cuisine that she tried there. Yes, she told me so deliciously that one of my brothers suddenly wanted Ice cream so much that he got his bearings at the moment, found a cafe not far from us and offered to go to dinner))
I'm light on the upswing. I packed up quickly and we drove off. Who doesn't know, hogo is literally translated as a hot pot. On specially equipped tables, where there is a heating element (more often an electric stove), they put a saucepan or a pot with broth to choose from (in Kazakhstan, this is meat broth). You can also determine the sharpness of the broth initially and on which meat - beef, lamb, fish and chicken (I took chicken 😜)
And then you choose the ingredients. Different types of meat, fish, tofu, mushrooms, vegetables, herbs, noodles. The choice is very large. And then you sit and cook the selected ingredients, fish them out, dip them in a specially prepared AWESOME sauce.
In my fright, I picked up a bunch of everything: fried tofu, asparagus, sprouted soy, spinach, glass noodles, potatoes, wood mushrooms, cilantro, cauliflower. Their portions are quite large, as it turned out. We must expect that one plate of each ingredient will be enough for at least three pots.
It was incredibly delicious, but I only ate 20% of each product. I took the rest home. And today I made a Vogue version of all this)))
In short, I recommend this place to anyone who likes delicious and non-trivial food)))

I don't understand hogo. It was the first time I went to try such a kitchen. The taste is unusual for me. Cooking the ingredients myself, which I also chose myself, was interesting. As a beginner, I didn't have enough explanations from the staff. But maybe this is not their responsibility. The room itself is not exactly a top five, but again it is not a cool, stylish cafe. I would like to come here again!☝️

I highly do not recommend it, there is no wardrobe, the extractor hood does not cope, all clothes smelled of broth like in some cheap dining room, it is constantly wet from steam, the menu does not specify the weight of portions and how much each ingredient needs to be boiled, we did not like it at all, prices are quite high, service is not very good, we asked a couple of times They didn't bring napkins, they asked for the bill and forgot it, I had to not only cook myself, but also run.
