We recommend potential guests to be vigilant with this accommodation!
Honey Hotel has withdrawn money twice for our stay:
- The first time during check-in (this is normal),
- And the second time a couple of days after our departure - money was automatically withdrawn from the credit card attached to the booking (this, of course, is not normal).
Within the next 3 months (!) we tried to contact the accommodation directly to resolve the issue. The hotel administration agreed and admitted that we were charged twice.
But there was no progress in reimbursing the amount: constant delays and contradictory information in the responses of the hotel's guest service, frequent lack of answers to phone calls and messages, etc.
After a significant number of wasted hours in our attempts to get the money back for the second payment, we completely decided to stop, since there was no hope that our communication with Honey Hotel could lead to anything productive.
The problem was ultimately not resolved (no refund was received to our account).
I hope this review will help you make your choice! :)
Ow! Everyone who writes "what a cool, clean hotel" did you stay there at all?!
When you enter the room, you are greeted by cockroaches and, in principle, they don't care that you came - they don't run away 😁 The smell of dampness is constantly in the room. It is impossible to ventilate, because the window does not open, the window handle is a prop. But, since the double-glazed window departs from the window frame, the room is typically ventilated on a regular basis (it is cold in winter, there is no heater), well, all (absolutely all) street sounds are a bonus.
The room is dirty, old, shabby. Everything (floor, walls, ceiling, furniture, curtains) is covered in dust and stains. The bed linen and towels are worn out (thanks for being clean at least). Only 2 towels instead of 6, or at least 4. There is black mold all over the bathroom. There is no 1/3 door in the shower area, respectively, water is everywhere (in the photo you can see).
The promised view of the city from the window is in fact a view of the devastation and air conditioners (photo attached).
In the single, mega small closet, there was a used, damp and already moldy towel. And yet, there is a safe in the same closet, but there are no batteries in it and its presence is meaningless)))
For the entire stay (4 days), the room is not cleaned (in principle, it is not cleaned after visitors), garbage is not thrown away, you can not even talk about changing bed linen)
Minor disadvantages: there is a kettle, but there is no mug and actually there is no tea / coffee either - very convenient))
There is no TV remote control.
The curtains are half fixed to the cornice.
There is nowhere to dry towels, so the bathroom and closet doors were used) Oh yes, there are no hooks in the bathroom either. And there is no cup for dental supplies, the option remains to put it on the sink, which is in mold. Only one bedside table.
Bottom line: the only cool plus has a lot of cons! I definitely do not recommend it!
Very cheap, friendly and close to the tourist centers of Istanbul.
But if you're clean and you like comfort, it's better not to go there. Look for something more expensive. For a real pro who is not chasing comfort, but just for an overnight stay.
