I stayed here for one night returning to Moscow from a business trip. The hotel has many advantages, but there are also unobvious disadvantages, so in order.
From the good-everything is polite, fast and delicious. Despite the double-headed passport, there were no problems during check-in, everything was friendly, polite, and fast. Part of the ground floor is for a very decent restaurant, where you, as a guest, will always quickly find a place, even if there is a "tail" of people waiting on the street. When requesting a late check-out, they took pity and asked for only a third of the fare, although officially they could have done it in full. It is relevant every month of the year, but there is a Christmas market right next to the hotel, where everything is appropriate according to the horse price tag. I can't say anything about breakfast, I didn't get to it because I drank too much the day before at a concert nearby and wandered around without appetite in the morning in search of soup (I found it, but it was very far and long, but it was aired)
One of the advantages and disadvantages is a taxi. When you check out, it's a plus-you order, you wait, it arrives, but there is a difficulty with arriving. Either a 20-minute "detour" or a 5-minute walk with a suitcase. And Zurich is not Moscow, where you walk along the sidewalks with a suitcase from the Vorobyovs to the Patriks and roll it like you're walking a dog.…In Zurich, the sidewalks are made of pebbles, so walking with a suitcase for even a minute is torture and shame. I don't recommend leaving the train station with luggage at all (by the way, I only found soup at the train station)
My room had a single bed, slightly larger than a compartment in Russian Railways cars, but generally cozy.
Under the windows was a bar-type establishment that was open until two o'clock (around the clock by local standards) and had a crowd of noisy customers at the entrance. I can't say whether this is a plus or a minus.
Overall, I am satisfied with the experience.
The hotel is gorgeous. Small, cozy, in the city center. The staff is very polite. It is the only restaurant in the city where fondue is prepared. Very tasty. I recommend it to everyone
