A nice hotel with great friendly staff in the lobby, bar and restaurant!
With their attention, they manage to overshadow all the existing shortcomings (insignificant) of the hotel and make your stay incredibly comfortable! The most important criterion was the location and a clean, clean room. And the Evsen hotel was a 100% hit 🔥we had a decent-sized room on the 5th floor , with windows facing the courtyard, since if it was very noisy outside due to the large number of establishments. Although initially we wanted a room with a balcony, but there are windows on the street. The location is just great, all the sights are within walking distance. Topkapi Palace is 7 minutes on foot, exactly a slow walk, Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet 10-15 minutes. A new mosque with a view of the Bosphorus 10 minutes. There are many shops with all kinds of goods, cafes, street food. The staff is Russian-speaking, they will always help.

The advantage is that it is located in the center on a busy street. There is life nearby and many cafes. The disadvantage is that the very small rooms are slightly larger than a double bed. But if the hotel is only needed to get laid after returning from a walk, then it's fine.

Hello everyone We stayed at the hotel in May for 10 nights.(We have been to Istanbul 4 times before, there is something to compare it with) The hotel has a great location! Near Gulhane Park, Sultanahmet Square, Topkapi Palace, Suleymaniye Mosque, Shops, Cafes, exchangers. Galata Bridge is 10 minutes away, Eminenu Pier is also there - the starting point to all areas of Istanbul! The hotel itself has a very beautiful reception, many interesting details, and a pleasant cozy atmosphere. You will be greeted by friendly staff (All hotel staff are very friendly, helpful, help with any questions), check-in is prompt. There is a Russian-speaking employee, in the person of Timur, who will advise and help in solving any issues, very friendly, professional in his field. The first impressions of the hotel begin with the reception, and the staff is the face of the hotel, in this regard 10 out of 10 :). The rooms are clean, all appliances worked well, all 10 days, no complaints! The cleaning is good, towels, bed linen are white, clean, tidy. I also want to celebrate the breakfasts! Various, delicious (always fresh vegetables, fruits, salads, olives, olives, many types of cheeses, eggs (in several cooking variations, potatoes, pancakes, casseroles, various pastries, tea, coffee, juices). In general, I definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel has a very good location, in the very center of Sultan Akhmet. The breakfasts at the hotel are monotonous, they gave the same thing every day, but I do not consider this a minus. We ate too much and were full. Of course, the hotel is patched up, the wallpaper is peeled off, where something doesn't work, but it didn't matter to us, since we were constantly walking, and only slept in the hotel. That 's why I'm giving the hotel 4 ⭐️

A good hotel in the center of Istanbul, Topkapi is visible from the terrace, which is a 3-minute walk away, to Ai Sofia and Bazili 4 minutes on foot, in principle, when we rested, we walked everywhere, rarely used taxis and the metro.
The hotel has good breakfasts, which allow you to refresh yourself before long trips around the old town) the rooms are nice and clean. The only thing I do not advise is to settle in 2 rooms on the ground floor that do not have windows, because in them you will be stuffy, dark and little space, otherwise the hotel is good. I would like to say separately about the staff, all are friendly and helpful, they will always come to the rescue, some speak Russian. And if you live in the old town, be sure to visit Red Rivers, a very atmospheric place)

We rested on 06/21/2023 - 06/25/2023... The staff is friendly, only 1 receptionist speaks Russian. Wi-Fi in the hotel works well. Buffet breakfast (lunch and dinner are not provided). The location is excellent, the center... The condition of the room stock is in need of repair in places, not new... but we liked it, we would have come back...

The location is good for hiking. The transfer could not drive up, I had to stomp 500 meters up the hill with my suitcases, to the high road. There's a market all around, it's noisy. Up to 3 hours. At 5, the mule sings. Breakfast is not bad. The hotel itself is small, the room is tiny, even the two of them are difficult to disperse. The restaurant is also cramped. While 1 is picking up food, the others are sitting waiting, there is no way to go between the tables with food together. The staff is very friendly. They speak Russian. A nice hotel for a couple of days is just the thing.

Let's start with the pros:
1) All the staff, including the reception, the kitchen are very friendly and try to help in everything. Someone knows Russian, someone does not really, but they try to understand) in general, there are no problems with the language barrier
2) Cleanliness. The hotel as well as the room is clean and cozy. Cleaning on demand.
3) Location. Everything is very close. Attractions, bus stops, metro, cafes (canteens), pharmacies, supermarkets. Everything can be found within walking distance.
4) Prices for excursions are cheaper than your guide will offer you. (For those who are traveling on a voucher)
5) Silence. The moment is controversial, since there are many mosques nearby and the sound comes well from the window. Also, the walls clearly do not have sound insulation, so you will hear everything that happens in the corridor on the floor. However, the noise in the corridor is of a short-term nature (neighbors came in and out, etc.). And the sound of mosques... well, you can't hide anywhere in this place, and it didn't bother me at all. Earplugs will easily help those who are particularly sensitive. In general, I don't quite agree with some of the comments about noise. Quite quiet enough
Minuses:
1) Food. This is a fat minus. And, probably again, not a claim to the hotel. We couldn't eat delicious food anywhere. Just before leaving, we found one cafe / canteen in which it is acceptable relatively. But I can't recommend anything at all, any cafe has disappointed us very much time after time. As well as breakfast at the hotel. Although there is a delicious omelet, cheese, tea and coffee.
A minus that does not relate specifically to the hotel.
2) Prices. Compared to last year, prices have gone into space. If you eat in a cafe where you will be peskily invited, you will have to fork out. In one of these cafes I saw a price tag for beer of 160 lira (0.5). On average, to eat in such places about 3k (without alcohol and a feeling of satiety)
3) Also a minus not to the hotel. Touts 🤦♂️
Tired, constantly, non-stop the same. I don't know, don't get fooled. There is a dining room nearby, opposite the Waikiki store. There plus or minus the price/quality of the food is ok.
P.S.
The rooms are a bit shabby (as many write), but this is again for everyone individually. I didn't see any problems in this and it didn't seem that way to me. So don't worry.
In general, I definitely recommend the hotel for accommodation.

The location is great! The staff is friendly. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. The rooms are not very large, but we only came to spend the night. Room cleaning is on demand and of high quality. The Lokantasi Balkan is a 3-minute walk away. In general, I definitely recommend it!

We stayed at this hotel from January 4 to January 8, the price corresponds to the quality of the services provided for everything! We always choose accommodation in the Sirkeci area, very convenient, near Marmaray, the Bosphorus embankment, tram stop.There are two stops to Hagia Sophia.the breakfast is quite decent; we ate enough, there is a dining room not far from the Location.you can dine on a budget and tasty, there are a lot of restaurants nearby, but everything is expensive, designed for tourists. If we come again, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

When I saw it, I asked the travel agency to make adjustments and change to a room with a window and with an additional fee, or to replace it with another hotel.
but they refused, because the hotel confirmed the reservation and the money that had already been deposited could not be refunded.
It did not work out on the spot, .t.k. all rooms with Windows in the hotel were occupied..(
The room is not only located on the ground floor, but also has a small "window" that opens into the utility room...inside of which there is either a hood or a working refrigerator, which periodically turns on and off, and emits the smell of a working mechanism ...
Considering that you are not in the hotel all day...It is impossible to sleep at night.
And the room itself is a maximum of 8 meters.
The cost of such a room is 6000 rubles
In general, be careful when booking.
Unfortunately, my vacation was partially ruined by staying in such a room

The hotel definitely corresponds to the money spent. It is suitable for shopping - there are a lot of shops nearby, the Grand Bazaar and the Egyptian market. And for self-guided sightseeing - everything is within walking distance. For lovers of quiet recreation, Izvestia sports near Gulhane Park. In the evening and early in the morning, it is almost empty, open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. I advise you to issue an Istanbul card. Then you can swim across the Bosphorus for the price of a tram ticket. The cost of travel with transfers will become much cheaper. Do not forget to visit the delicious cafe with low prices of the Balkans-Lokantasi it is very close, look at the maps. Nice hotel, I liked it.
Only after 14 o'clock the rooms are no longer cleaned.
The walls are thin, it can be noisy if the neighbors are active.
I recommend climbing up to the floor. It will be more comfortable this way.

Of the advantages, only a very good location, everything is nearby. The hotel itself was very upset by the behavior of its employees and the conditions in general. The rooms are very small, the bathrooms ... a split shower head, flying shower doors, an oversized ring on the toilet bowl constantly moving out, soap was not put at all. When booking, we paid for a room with a balcony, upon arrival at night we were asked to spend the night in a room of a different price category, and in the morning move into our room. In the morning they said that there was no room and, citing a bunch of reasons, refused to relocate. Only after the requirement to provide a written refusal to provide a previously paid room, the room was miraculously found and we were given the keys. Among other things, terrible audibility, you can hear the neighbors, the corridor, the street ... something like that)
