An incomparable place! The staff is very helpful. Clear. Delicious. Not expensive. A family atmosphere.
At first glance, there was a slight disappointment, repairs would not hurt. But the very next day, this was not noticed. The main thing for me was that the bed was comfortable and very clean. Beautiful view from the balcony. I would still love to live there. They cook very well. We are ready to clean the room every day, sometimes we even refused. The location is great, everything is nearby.
We were here for 2 weeks in February 24. (1) Monotonous breakfasts (fruits, eggs, bread. Rice and curry if you say you want a Sri Lankan breakfast): the first days seem even delicious, but then everything is annoying. Tea and coffee are quite decent, real (not bags), not diluted (2) Out of 8 rooms, 2-3 rooms were occupied. Accordingly, despite having its own small garden, it is empty and boring in the evenings. As a restaurant, the place is not interesting (expensive, there is no music, food is cheaper and tastier in the city in cafes for locals) (3) There are no free boats from the hotel to the beach - the price of 500 rupees is indicated at the reception and was confirmed verbally by the manager (15 minutes walk to the nearest beach, half of them along a busy highway) (4) there is no kettle or TV in the rooms (5) the rooms themselves are not new, but clean. They are cleaned every other day. (6) there are no insects in large numbers: mosquitoes can fly into the light in the evening, it is better to always keep the doors closed, because various local animals (lizards, spiders, cockroaches) can run in (7) the staff is polite (8) the overall impression:It's not a bad place to stop for a few days, but compared to hotels on the 1st line of beaches, the place is boring in the evenings
I think this is one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka, very good service, delicious food prices relative to other hotels, of course, more expensive, but the service here will be better.
The hotel accommodation was comfortable. Quiet, beautiful, cozy. Most of all, I was struck by the attitude of the staff - they are very friendly and ready to help in everything. We would also love to return to this hotel.
An amazing place with incredibly friendly and caring staff! For these short 10 days, Hemadan became our home. Here you can watch the monitor lizards swimming in the river at breakfast. Chipmunks and all kinds of birds are a constant accompaniment) and a couple of times even a luvaka came to the balcony!
The day before, everyone left the hotel and when we checked in, we were alone. It feels like this is your villa and everything around is just for you)) the hotel is simple, but with a beautiful territory, its own restaurant and excellent hosts, friendly staff. They will help you solve any issue. Special thanks to Tushan, he helped me out all the time, helped with any question. My recommendation is for those who want a quiet relaxing holiday
The hotel has exceeded all expectations! This is a colonial-style hotel with its own garden, restaurant and access to the wonderful Bentota River. After a vacation in Unnawatuna and Hikkaduwa - where in hotels of the same price category the concept of style and service is nuuu... somewhat unfamiliar, we were greeted at this hotel by well-trained staff, clean and bright room, beautiful views from the balcony. In general, we remembered what a HOTEL is :) Despite the price of $ 20 per night, the level is much higher than what we met in Una and Hikke. On the opposite side of the river (towards the beaches) at your request, a boat carries you from 8.00 to 17.00, although it takes no more than 15 minutes on foot to reach it (Ventura beach).
The restaurant is something that we managed to try - they cook delicious, cook for a long time like everywhere else in Sri (but everything is always fresh, as if only from the garden or from the ocean :))
Room cleaning on request (included in the service fee). They are cleaned efficiently.
