Today I want to tell you about the excellent experience of staying at this hotel, if you can call it that. Because at most it pulls on a flophouse from Gogol's work “At the bottom".
Due to the morning flight and the desire to sleep longer, the choice fell on this hotel. In principle, its location is the only plus. Well, more precisely, the proximity to the airport. Because of the attractions around there are stray dogs that attack people, the road and oil storage facilities.
When we checked in, we didn't have the cash to pay for the room. But they met us halfway and offered to leave a passport as a deposit, put things in the room and, in principle, they were friendly. As it seemed, friendliness is another plus of this place, but I'll tell you about why it only “seemed“ a little later.
By the way, be prepared for the fact that some taxi drivers will refuse to take you from here to the center, because it is too far and, in their opinion, cheap. After returning from the city, paying for the room and settling in, I wanted to look around again.
The room turned out to be without a claim to the usual hotel comfort. Different bed linen, old furniture and a decrepit door. A cold temperature that can only be saved by a fully working air conditioner. However, you can sleep. But how do you go to bed without taking a shower? Apparently, they don't think about this issue here. Because only cold water was running in the faucet. And no matter how much it flowed, it did not get warmer.
Contacting the reception, a man from the room with the inscription “Director" tried to solve this problem. He walked around the room for 20 minutes and turned the faucet knob back and forth. It didn't help.
Out of desperation, we were offered to wash in another room. After our question, “Wouldn't it be easier to move us there? The man said, “If you want.“
The other room did have hot water. But I didn't have the strength to take a shower anymore. Because other emotions and desires began to prevail in the moment. Disgust. Have you ever romanticized the heroin chic of the 90s? So it has a downside… Try to live in this room and you will never say that you miss those times again.
Sewn curtains with some dried white substance on them. Burnt bedspreads. Dark spots on the carpet, which has long needed to get to know Mr. Proper. The wallpaper has been peeled off. Noise-insulating windows that are closed so tightly that they allow you to hear what is happening on the street as well as if they do not exist at all.
Having overcome the feeling of vomiting from such an atmosphere, I finally managed to fall asleep. But that was not the case. At one o'clock in the morning, some kind of conflict began in the corridor, it was not possible to identify the participants, because it was simply scary to go out and try to figure it out. After about 30 minutes, the voices subsided and I managed to fall asleep again.
At 4 a.m., our alarm clock rang, which we were very happy about, because now we will be able to quickly pack up, wash up and go to the airport. It's better to sit longer on the benches in the waiting room than to be here.
But this place didn't want to let us go. As a morning surprise, we were expected to have NO HOT WATER. Without hesitation, we decided to contact the reception again to clarify if they have any other room where she will still be. To which we received a great answer: “How did you get it with your water already?“ I believe that this was a concern for our health, because as it was sung in one children's song: “Dip, pour, harden, don't sneeze!“
Realizing that the service in this hotel is of the “figure out what you do yourself" level. I had to wash my face from the kettle. Don't worry, it's better this way than nothing.
In general, I recommend getting less sleep, but living in more comfortable conditions than living through the experience that we had to go through. White sheets and hot water for everyone ❤
I can't write anything good.....from above, it is completely shrouded in greenery on all sides, so that the accident rate of the house is not visible....and inside, you can stick your hand into the walls....the floors are crooked.....the smell is unpleasant.....the windows do not close tightly.... but it stands like a decent hotel ..... I do not recommend it.
