The building was built in the early 20th century. I won't focus on the hotel, but there is a chic Sloppy bar on the corner. There is a Russian-speaking waiter, Raul. There are wonderful cocktails here, especially kubata. This bar is the beginning of the century, all the gangsters of America rested here.
According to reviews, we were preparing for the worst, but it turned out well. The rooms are clean, bright, everything is there: 2 towels per person, 5-layer toilet paper (which surprised me, we thought it would not be at all), shampoo and shower gel, there is a socket in the bathroom and charges our phones normally (other sockets in the room are local, we took an adapter from Russia but it did not fit). The only moment the bar in the lobby comes up with prices from the ceiling, there were 6 of us, everyone came up and took the same thing, but at different prices, you need to say confidently - I have a cocktail like yesterday for $ 3. The piano in the lobby bar is well played by a pianist in the evenings. The location is great, everything is nearby. Breakfast is good, on the roof.
We spent two days in this hotel , the breakfasts are gorgeous , varied, delicious, the rooms are of course miserable, but for a couple of days it's enough most of the time you spend in the city anyway and you just come to spend the night. The hotel is very conveniently located right in the center of the old town, just a stone's throw away
I bet 5 for the location in the very center of Havana, everything is nearby. Breakfasts are also on the top five. But it's time to make repairs somewhere inside. The room is normal, the beds are large, the mattresses are comfortable, the towels and bed linen are new.
It's not a bad hotel for Havana
Normal breakfasts, good food
Cleanliness-well, you don't have to expect much here, it's a Cube-to understand / forgive. Overall, good impressions
The Plaza Hotel in the center of Havana is 4 stars and it feels like it was in 1908. It looks like the repair was done for the last time in the same year. There are drug addicts in front of the hotel. The stench is all around. Breakfast is not edible from the word at all, the overall impression is very much the best. There are cockroaches everywhere and lizards inside the hotel.
The only thing I can say is a human thank you to the director of the hotel and Yvette at the reception. They paid about $500 for 2 rooms in 2 days.
This cube will remain in my memory for the rest of my life…
From the bar on the second floor, sitting on the balcony, the whole area is at a glance! It's a cozy place, but you can only pay with cards, and mir cards are not accepted!
One of the worst hotels I've ever been to. The service is very low, the room stock is old, there is no restaurant:(

About all the horrors of the hotel, what they say is probably true (except for insects - there were none). But what an amazing view from the roof of the hotel!!! Moreover, the entrance to it was always open. Havana is a beautiful city!!
The location is very good, on the central square named after Central Park))
Of the advantages: wi-Fi on the ground floor, sale of cards for network access on the ground floor, more or less normal breakfast, there is hot water, the staff cleans the room well. That's about it.
Of the cons: leaky towels, rattling air conditioner not split models, everything is old and finished.
In general, everything is as we like it. It's normal for Cuba.

The main and probably the only advantage is the location of the hotel in the center of historic Havana.
