A budget option next to the Rambla on the Royal Square. The rooms are very small and budget, with two beds, a table, a chair, and no refrigerator, while the bathroom is large and comfortable with a bathtub and a bidet. I'm in a cafe in the basement, the room looks like a nightclub restaurant, only pastries, yoghurts and tea/coffee (a good coffee machine, several types of coffee). The windows overlooked the roof, so it was quiet. In general, the place is super noisy, the entire courtyard of the Royal Square is one big food court.
It is expensive (like everything in Barcelona), the rooms are shabby, there are only 1-2 sockets in the room (to charge all gadgets for two, I even had to turn off the bedside lamp)
The air conditioner was not working.
The rooftop pool is 2 by 2 meters, just for show. But an open roof almost in the center of Barca is, of course, cool.
There is a computer with a printer at the reception, everything is in Spanish, but you can print a plane ticket. There are also both hop-on bus routes (it's a pity, I only saw them at the exit)
Walking distance to the center is 30-50 minutes, by metro 10-15 minutes.
If you only spend the night here, and walk during the day, then you can stay here.
Offtop:
Uber didn't work, I found 2 taxi apps (or call the reception): Free now (mytaxy), Easy taxi
All the disadvantages overshadow the location of the hotel! The Royal Square, the rambla, the sleeping city! You can watch street performers from the balcony. If you need a relaxing holiday, you are not here
