I want to tell you about how we arrived at the Süreyya hotel with a friend on December 31, booked a tour in Ostrava for some unknown reason, the payment did not go through and we had to pay for our arrival for 2 nights in cash at the hotel, because the tour operators were no longer working. For 1 day, we had to pay 10,000 rubles for 1 room at the reception, which is 3,000 lire for 1 night, paying twice as much for reasons unknown to us. The cost of the 2nd day (2 people) on the hotel's website is 85$. We didn't want to swear, so as not to spoil the New Year's mood for ourselves and others.
The hotel is located in the old part of the city. Small, but cozy. No insects. Clear.
There are dozens of cafes and shops nearby. It is quite suitable to spend the night. I was impressed by the fact that you can smoke everywhere in the hotel)
The University or Vezneciler metro station is almost two minutes away. In the subway, you need to go down by elevator, and not like we have on the escalator. But it's quite possible to figure it out for yourself. It is better to buy a red transport card. Using the metro, you can get to the new part of Istanbul very quickly.
As for all the significant sights of the old part, they are within walking distance from the hotel.
A normal hotel, always cleaned, everything is nearby, but it is better to shop in other areas where there are shopping centers. Near the Hagia Sophia Mosque
The breakfasts are not bad. The location is good - within walking distance of the metro and tram line. There is no traffic at night or very little, there is no noise of cars. There was a minus- you have to remind me about cleaning.

I lived with my daughter for 5 days. The feeling is negative. We lived on the 6th floor in room 605. Now for the points: 1. Next to the room there is a STEEP staircase down (spiral with narrow steps) and an exit to the roof (the staircase is wooden and you can hear very well in the room if someone goes upstairs). 2. The toilet door is sliding, but God help it, but it was broken (our team occupied 6 rooms in the hotel), so there was a problem with the door in four rooms! 3. We woke up in the morning to the sound of pigeons' beaks on the glass, it turns out that this is their norm in the hotel. 4. The elevator is small for two people and a suitcase is two. You have to wait a long time for your turn to get up. 5. There is no breakfast, there is actually only one name. Bottom line: the hotel is extremely uncomfortable, if there is an opportunity to bypass it, do it and you will not regret it)))
We booked the hotel from November 8-11. When we approached the hotel, it seemed that everything would be very bad inside, but we were mistaken. The hotel is in good condition, clean rooms, working plumbing, nothing falls off, the walls are clean, the furniture is intact. And most importantly, there are no bedbugs. I was in May in a 4-star hotel before that, there was horror. So the hotel pulls on 4 stars, even though it has 3.
A budget hotel , good room stock, room cleaning is normal, breakfasts are very poor!!! The good location is not far from the metro and tram, I recommend the hotel.
Sureya Hotel Review ***
The hotel is 3 stars, but it doesn't look like 3 at all, rather 1. The rooms have low ceilings and are not cozy, a hotel from which you want to leave. The audibility is 100%, which is not conducive to rest at all, but on the contrary, it is very annoying. The hotel is not expensive, respectively, and the contingent is different. There are not enough glasses and a kettle in the room, I had to drink water from a bottle. There is no cooler on the floor and in the lobby. Old furniture, plumbing, repairs, curtains are not the first freshness. There is very little light in the room. Heating is only air-conditioned, which is also inconvenient. Turned off- it's cold, turned on - it's hot and stuffy. The air conditioner is very noisy. In addition, there are air conditioning boxes hanging on the wall from the street, which are constantly noisy. The breakfasts are modest. There are advantages, but there are much fewer of them, it is a good location, within walking distance of attractions and tram stops. Daily room cleaning.
We did not choose this hotel, we were settled by the host party. There is absolutely no desire to return to this hotel.
We were at the hotel on 02-05.01.20. The hotel corresponds to the "stardom".
One of the advantages is the location. The cleaning of the premises is quite good.
Of the minuses, this is heating by "kondey", "audibility". For clothes and things, there is only a closet with "hangers".
Conclusion: everything is individual, but in our case it was the best option for price and quality.
If we are going to Istanbul again, we will probably stay at this hotel again.

Cozy, inexpensive, without frills. The breakfast is quite good, the rooms have already been cleaned, and do not pretend to be the first freshness, so beauty lovers are unlikely to like it. I was satisfied with everything, because I was mostly outside the hotel, the staff was nimble, the room was cleaned regularly.
If you are here for work, then you can spend the night. I do not recommend a family vacation. It's a little dirty. The audibility is excellent. You can hear people talking through two rooms. Laleli's location is more for those who came for things.
