The most important attraction of the "House of Three Ostriches" in Prague is the fact that opposite, on the other side of the bridge, there is a sculpture of the knight Brunzvik. According to many experts, "the most famous sculpture is not only the Charles Bridge, but also the whole of Prague." Brunzvik is the only secular character on the bridge, the other 30 are religious, the only one standing behind the railing, the only one in the Gothic style. From him is a lion on the Czech coat of arms and a kladenets sword, somewhere at the base of the bridge... He will appear in due time, when it will be difficult for the people (apparently it is still tolerable). Some say that earlier in its place was the temple of Perun and this is definitely a "place of power". Marina Tsvetaeva was struck by the external similarity of his appearance with her appearance. She wrote in a letter: "I have a friend in Prague. He is about five hundred years old and very young." And of course her poems...
Pale — faced
The Guardian over the splash of the century —
Knight, knight,
Guarding the river......
.
— "From the fatal bridge
Down — dare!"
I'm your height,
The Knight of Prague.
Is it sweet or sad
In it, you know better,
Knight, guardian
River — days.
The convenient location saves a lot of time. The breakfasts are ordinary, very modest. The rooms are ordinary. There is no elevator. Apart from the perfect location, there is nothing special.
