A man who has done so much for Georgia and for Russia deserves to have his house become a museum. Chavchavadze is a legend, a creator, an educated, broad-minded man,
I'm surprised at the negative comments: some people didn't see the house as the Louvre, while others weren't allowed to take photos.... It's just a house! And they go to museums not to replenish Instagram or Tiktok, but to replenish their heads))
We liked everything. It was on May 4 at 14:00. A meaningful tour. The guide gave exhaustive explanations to all the questions, even those that were very far from the main topic.
The park has a very well-maintained territory: lawns, trees in perfect condition. Thank you.
PS There are a lot of dogs in Georgia. This is not news. People are kind to them, so the animals are not aggressive and are not afraid of people. But the dogs at the entrance to the museum are sooooo thin. Skeletonized is simple. To the point of tears. We went to the market and bought them sausages. Feed them, please. Or set up, for example, vending machines for food, as in many foreign countries. I am sure that the visitors will definitely respond and will buy food. Whether we like it or not, dogs are part of the ecosystem. Once we tamed them ourselves, and they repay us with their loyalty.
It's a curious place. There are always a lot of people. Georgian schoolchildren are dominating visitors. Locals call the house a palace. It doesn't reach the palace, but the place is pleasant and instructive. There is a nice park around.
The park is gorgeous, and so is the house museum. But!!! The guide, without whom it is impossible to get to the museum, greeted us with words: "I'm so tired, and then there's you." It was one o'clock in the afternoon. The end of November, were the crowds of tourists tortured?
The tour itself looked like this: "German sofa, French table, Georgian chairs." The names of the owner's children were also listed. When asked to tell about the life of people in this house, about everyday life, we received an answer: "Sometimes up to 70 people gathered at the table." That's it! This is all that we managed to "squeeze" from the "expert". I've never had such a disgusting excursion in my life. And hopefully there won't be any more. How can you put such a lady as a "guide" in such a place?
By the way, the girl had a wonderful tour in the wine storage.
A nice and beautiful place!
Wonderful territory, well maintained and clean. An interesting tasting tour, after which ask to be escorted to the cellar under the restaurant! That's where the flavor and history are)
Wine from 1842 and a huge collection worth a look)
It is forbidden to take photos on your personal phone for personal use as a keepsake!!!
You will learn about this only inside, during the tour, when the guide suddenly starts yelling at you: "no photo!!!", instead of telling his memorized boring speech about the exhibits.
This is a complete humiliation of human dignity and consumer rights, since this place cannot be called either a religious or strategic destination, and the buyer must be informed about the prohibitions in advance, even before buying tickets.
This place is not worth visiting. If you don't want to walk like a flock of sheep, follow the guide in single file with his boring story about plates in a foreign language. The impressions are extremely negative. There's nothing to see.
An interesting place with a history and a good exposition. Unfortunately, the administrators have formed a very large group with a Russian-speaking guide. I had to watch and listen to everything in close quarters. In addition, there are no signs in the park to the raccoon (wine cellars), it was difficult to find it, and the exposition there is also interesting.
A fabulous beautiful place, you can visit the house museum and listen to the guide, and then walk through the park! There is also a hotel, a theater and a restaurant on the territory of the park!
A very beautiful park. There are many plants from all over the world. Take a walk, relax, go on an excursion to the house museum. You can put a program in the tour, 2-3 hours maximum, if you do not dine at Radisson restaurants
Alexander Chavchavadze Is A Legend. The life story of this man is worthy of study and admiration. We visited the museum with a group of tourists from Gelendzhik on an excursion. Many thanks to the staff of the museum, the staff of support services for preserving and Loving the history of the Chavchavadze family. We Are Charmed! This amazing museum must be visited by ALL Guests of Georgia. We will definitely come back!
A great place with tennis alleys and authentic architecture. Interesting excursions with tasting of the actual Georgian wine of several varieties. Romantic and sophisticated. We recommend it.
A very cozy place. I want to walk around the rooms and the views from the house are simply magnificent. The park around is a riot of greenery. Calm and beautiful. And there is also a tasting room in the house museum, but we didn't get there)
It's a very atmospheric place. I want to take a leisurely stroll through the park and breathe fresh air. The museum is also quite interesting. The history of this place is filled with history
To feel the breath of history, feel the power of the place, feel the atmosphere and touch the wonderful traditions - be sure to visit a wonderful manor and an equally beautiful park. Here you can take a walk, enjoy the silence on the benches, hug the ancient trees and fall in love with this amazing place forever
A very beautiful park, a pleasant walk turned out. We got to the classical music festival (there is a stage in the park), a restaurant with very good cuisine. There are many fruit trees, plums, figs. We were in September, everything was ripe and delicious)
An interesting museum, good excursions, great wine.
You can't take pictures in the museum. I wonder why? Even in all Georgian churches it was possible to do this.
I recommend you to visit if you come to Kakheti. A very beautiful park. The house itself did not make a strong impression. The tour is included in the ticket and is held every hour.
A very beautiful manor park, a small tour was held in the manor (I take off the star for the prohibition of photographing), they briefly told about the Chavchavadze family. There is a cafe and a bar in the basement where you can taste the famous Tsinandali. Take a walk in the park and take beautiful photos with a glass of wine :)
A small museum with a 20-minute guided tour, which is enough to get a small excursion into the life of the first owner. The visit is included in the price of entrance tickets to the park.
This is Italy in Georgia!! Emotionally, lyrically, enthusiastically beautiful!!!
Wonderful house, beautiful interiors, interesting stories of a very nice guide!
Not to say that there is anything outstanding here. You can stop by if you choose more attractions nearby. The tickets are not expensive. There is a cafe with a minimal choice. Wine tasting, but the price tag is space for your wines.
Beauty! It's a great place. Beautiful nature. An interesting tour of the museum is possible with wine tasting. Nearby is the radisson hotel with excellent cuisine.
The magnificent house, which was once alive, has a rich history with dramatic stories in the fate of its owner. We must leave here with Tsinandali and Usakhalauri wine.
The most beautiful place! A very interesting tour, the manor itself and just an incredible park! We didn't regret for a minute that we came here from Tbilisi on purpose)
By the way, we spent the night in a magnificent hotel that borders the park.
It's a beautiful place. Once you can visit, take a walk in the garden. Interesting for the story)

A historical place with its own aura ! The museum is small - the story is big!!! First you need to prepare for this place, read in advance where you are going and then it will be interesting! I definitely recommend it!
A great place, a three-day excursion. The wine is delicious, the park is on fire.

Wow, it's not worth it) the guide in the main manor clearly pretended that she was not happy with us (what a pity, her job is to lead excursions to Russians :)). The guide in the basement, on the contrary, was very nice. In general, if you have seen all these estates before, then this is another one on the list..
