The Hungarian National Gallery turned out to be great! The formation of the museum's collection, as you know, began in 1808, when Count Ferenc Szechenyi donated his collections of books, coins and coats of arms to the nation. Nowadays, the museum's expositions provide an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with Hungarian painting of the XVIII-XX centuries, including the painting by Victor Madaras "Lamentation of Laszlo Hunyadi" (Hunyadi Laszlo siratasa, 1859) and its numerous repetitions. The collections of medieval sculptures, vaulted church altars, and Gothic triptychs of the 14th—15th centuries made a serious impression! You should definitely look at the triptych "Annunciation" (1506), and the casement altar of the Virgin from the church of St. Andrash in Nagysalok (1483)...
A wonderful gallery, I liked it more than the exposition of the Museum of Fine Arts. Hungarians have someone to be proud of in the visual arts. Renaissance, modern, and other trends. 18th, 19th, 20th centuries. They give out an information booklet with a plan in Russian
