We were at the factory with a group tour. The territory of the plant is clean and well maintained. The guide Aza worked with us. She talked very interestingly about the history of the plant and the current state of affairs. She answered all our questions.
There is a small zoo on the territory of the plant.
Since the summer of this year, you can have lunch at the factory. The management still has a lot to work on in this direction.
Tasting cards for almost all products are available on the website. There is a choice for every taste and purse. There is a shop at the factory where you can buy all products a little cheaper than in Armenian stores.
The beautiful views of nature around add to the pleasant experience.
We bought a bottle of 1.5 liters of dry red wine. The store seems to be branded. Recently opened. Lenta, Novoe Devyatkino, Leningrad region. The seller advertised it as a young dry wine. We wanted to try it at the tasting, but only white was poured there. I liked the white (at the tasting). We bought it as a gift, but decided to try it ourselves (so that we wouldn't be ashamed later). They opened houses. The liquid in the bottle turned out to be tinted with water, with the addition of a minimum of incomprehensible alcohol (there is still a degree) with some kind of persistent unpleasant odor. There wasn't even a whiff of wine. This is the situation. I don't recommend it to anyone. I swore off buying Armenian alcohol twenty years ago. I thought that at least something had changed. Alas.

The factory's products are very tasty! And alcohol, and koservy! The price tag is adequate! I take the wines only from their production!
Have you been to the cognac factory in Ijevan?
Ijevan Wine and Cognac Factory
It was formed in 1939 by the decision of the government of the Armenian SSR to build a winery in Ijevan. But the Patriotic War destroyed all plans, and only 4 years after the war, the old order was updated. In 1949, it was decided to build a reception center for grapes.
From the 50s to 1976, there was a reception point on the site of the Ijevan winery. Over the years, more than 300 hectares of vineyards have been planted on its base. In 1968, construction began, and only in 1976 the plant was put into operation.
☝️ At the same time, for a long time, the plant was primarily a supplier of cognac and champagne wine materials to the Ararat Yerevan plant.
🍷 From 1992-1996, like many production organizations, it suspended its work. And after privatization, in 1997, a complete restructuring of the production and management links was initiated. As a result, in less than a year, the Ijevan plant turned from a secondary winemaking enterprise into a company that controls all stages of wine production - from grape harvesting to bottling of finished products. In 1998, the plant received a bottling license, and 2-3 years later it was already producing more than 6 varieties of wines.
The mild climatic conditions of the Tavush region are unique for Armenia, it is one of the few places where European grape varieties have taken root perfectly.
Since the late 1990s, the factory has been independently using its rich collection of wine materials and expanding the range of authentic wines and cognacs.
Ijevan products are in demand not only in the domestic market, but also for world exports.
I really like all the products of the Ijevan plant. I went on a tasting tour - everything is great! My wife and I had a tour for two, it was very interesting and sincere.
Excellent products! Fault. cognacs, vodkas, compotes, etc. Excellent quality. There is a shop outside where exclusive products are sold at an affordable price! I advise everyone!
The best wine and cognac products that I have tried!
