When the station is completed, it will generate almost half of all electricity in the country. This is the most modern project of nuclear power plants to date. And taking into account the loan in Russian rubles and gas prices, this station will cost the country free of charge (the money that would have been paid for the gas from which the electricity was generated is now paid for the loan) so the station itself is free.

The only nuclear power plant in Belarus. Currently under construction. Nearby is the young and beautiful city of Ostrovets. Neighboring towns and villages are full of attractions, churches, castles and many other buildings of the 17th and 18th century.

It is noteworthy that the tour is not conducted by a nuclear scientist or even an energy engineer. The guide simply retells the memorized training manual.
