Classy city hotel, right next to taksim metro station, in the city center, food is great, service is great , love its swimming pool , so Mediterranean , must visit if you like top service

An excellent choice is the InterContinental Istanbul in Taksim Square! I stayed here for a few days in the Sultanahmet Suite and I want to share my impressions.
The location is simply magnificent - the heart of modern Istanbul, convenient transport accessibility, many restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is a Jacuzzi on the covered balcony of the room with stunning views of the city and the Bosphorus.
- Spacious room with separate living room and bedroom
- Designer renovation (although already in an out-of-date style)
- A huge marble bathroom and a second guest toilet
- Panoramic windows overlooking the city
The service is excellent:
- Attentive and professional staff
- Good mineral water, coffee and tea are always in the room
- Excellent sound insulation
Hotel infrastructure:
- Luxury spa center
- A fitness center with excellent new Life Fitness equipment
- Excellent restaurant and bar with stunning panoramic views on the top floor
Of the cons:
- Prices are above average
- Not all rooms are newly renovated, the renovation will take a long time.

I liked the hotel because of its location. It's super winning.
About the details…
The rooms are spacious, but very tired.
The hair dryer looks like it's from the 90s. Very old faucets. It doesn't really spoil the impression, but it doesn't really make an impression on 5*.
The service is good. Cleaning, restaurants, socializing - everything is very cool.
The hotel has a great breakfast. A very large selection of food, juices, desserts, fruits.
Nice waiters.
The coolest thing here is a restaurant with a terrace on the top floor and a nightclub there.
The view is incredible. And very cool service in the restaurant.
The lobby of the hotel is also very cozy and comfortable.
So in total it's certainly 5*

An expensive and rather old hotel.The room is wonderful, a great gym, a good breakfast. I really liked the location. The rooms are old: 1 socket in the room! Additionally, they require a deposit of $ 100 per day.
they use the personal data that you leave (email) to send fraudulent messages.

I do not recommend it. the price and quality do not meet the requirements.

Of the advantages:the room is clean, the breakfasts are delicious. Cons: terrible mattress, sagging feather mattress, 5 times they asked to replace it, nodded their heads but did not do it. For the 1st time I had to sleep on the floor and even in such an expensive hotel. We got on the weekend and on Saturday there was a wedding by the pool, music was playing late. They asked us to move to another room, They moved us right under the restaurant and there's just music playing all night and everything is audible, and I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the room. They asked us to return to our old room, so we drove back and forth half the night.

Intercontinental is a global brand! Great hotel. Very convenient location and excellent view of the Bosphorus. Friendly and courteous staff.
But! The kitchen for breakfast does not reach 5*. A maximum of 3*. There was no second bathrobe in the room for two. They asked for it and brought it. But the next day they dragged me away again…
On the top floor of the hotel there is a disco on Fridays from 23.00 to 3.00. If you have a room on the 12th floor and above, it is not possible to sleep.
We complained about the noise, we were offered to spend the night in another room. And leave the things in ours. :) We did not run around the floors in our dressing gowns at night. Moreover, the robe was one for two.
As an alternative, as a sign of compensation, they offered a free transfer to the airport. And thanks for that. However, instead of the hotel car, the porter put us in a taxi.:)
I will not recommend this hotel - decide for yourself: look at the Bosphorus through the panoramic windows, not paying attention to the inconvenience, or…

The room has a great view, even if the room has a view of the city. The rooftop restaurant is incredibly beautiful, but not very tasty, unfortunately. I liked the capsule coffee in the room, I didn't like the bathroom, old plumbing, switches, sockets, there is no underfloor heating in the bathroom ... everything is already old, the walls are dirty. But the place where the hotel is located compensates for all the disadvantages, a very convenient location next to Taksim Square.

So far, this is the best hotel I've been to) we were a family with a child of 1.5 years) the view of the strait is gorgeous, the bed is Mega comfortable - just wow) we were impressed by the shower accessories from Bayredo, a very cool fitness area with a gorgeous view! the breakfasts are also delicious)
The only upset is the price😁paid more than it was indicated in the booking

Great view from the window of the Bosphorus, breakfast and panoramic restaurant upstairs. The hotel is elderly, but the company keeps the brand. My Turkish friends recommended it. I have been satisfied several times over the past 5 years.

The 5-star hotel is one hundred percent.

The breakfasts are 3 stars. ( don't take it).
Room cleaning is 1 star.
