One of the oldest hotels in Abu Dhabi (opened in 1985) is very cozy and peaceful. Friendly staff. Although not new, the rooms are quite modern, very neat and clean. There is free Wi-Fi, which works great throughout the hotel and even on the beach. The beach is equipped in an artificial bay, so the water is very clean and calm.
If you are interested in a relaxing holiday, I recommend it!

I had a rest with my child in early February - I am very happy!

Perhaps one of the few hotels in Abu Dhabi with its own (very cozy) beach. The rooms are standard, a little tired. We took half board. Everything is decent. Just got back from the hotel today. We really liked it! We rested on the all-inclusive system.
The choice of food is not huge, but everything is very tasty.
The alcohol is all imported, the cocktails are very tasty.
The rooms are large.
2 swimming pools (one on the roof, the other on the beach)
Very beautiful territory.
A separate respect for the Belgian cafe. An evening bar on the street is just a top.
Children's playrooms.
Near the Presidential Palace, Etihad towers, a large shopping center (Zara, hm).
The only negative purely for us is a very small beach, as if a little more pool.

A magnificent hotel! We were in January. Everything is impressive, and even the slightly shabby furniture in the room does not spoil the impression. The staff is polite to the point of snot, everyone says hello and wishes you a good day! There are always fresh gartensia flowers in the lobby. The interior decoration is very rich marble, marble tiles and natural materials down to the leather, from the lobby to the rooms! The food is super diverse and very tasty, we took breakfast and dinner, but more often we had lunch (you can change) how many evenings we walked. We lived on the 7th floor overlooking the sea, wonderfully neither high nor low. On the 4th floor there is a swimming pool and a restaurant! There are excellent restaurants on the territory, we went to a couple of them. Its own beach (3 minutes at least along the marina), umbrellas, sun beds, towels (as many as you want), swimming pool, Jacuzzi, children's pool, 2 bars, restaurant, beach volleyball, ping pong, there are a lot of places, there is also a spa and massage. No small difficulties have overshadowed the impression of this hotel, if we go to Abu Dhabi, then only to the Intercontinental!

Excellent staff, all issues are resolved instantly and always with a smile. The most diverse (Indian and European) and delicious food, and the chef can sometimes come up to you and bring a dish according to his recipe, which is not on the buffet. According to the VIP all-inclusive system, you will be pleased with a lot of drinks (several types of canned and bottled beer, several types of whiskey, gin, wine, vodka, champagne) of European production. The beach is excellent, white sand, always clean, lots of sun beds (no need to occupy)there is enough for everyone and there are plenty of free ones. There are two bars and a restaurant with snacks on the beach, all the dishes are very tasty and the portions are huge (enough to have lunch with one dish). The only thing is that the rooms are a little tired and there is nowhere to dry swimsuits and towels (there are no balconies). But everything else is on top. A great hotel, I really want to visit again.

The Abu Dhabi hotel fully justifies its 5 stars. We were in August, it's not the season for the Emirates, the air is very hot and stagnant, there is almost no wind, there are extremely few tourists, most of them are Russians. There is also an unexpectedly large temperature difference in the room (19 degrees) and outside (40 degrees). The hotel has two swimming pools, one of them includes two children's pools with a slide and is located next to the bay. Children's rooms are well cooled, which cannot be said about adults, who are closer to 12 like a hot tub, as well as a bay in principle. For some reason, a Jacuzzi is provided, which no one has set foot in front of us.Swimming is more pleasant in the morning. There are never waves on the water, because there is a type of artificial bay, a view of the construction site, not very much. The water is a beautiful turquoise shade and very salty, so it is difficult to drown. When we were there, some kind of creature bit a woman in the water on her leg until it bled, maybe a crab, maybe a fish, but we tensed up. Salt stings my eyes. I was very pleased with the white sand. From Friday to Sunday, locals come and frolic with children in burqas in all reservoirs. It is 100 meters from the hotel to the water area, along the yacht parking lot. The restaurant is good with a variety of cuisine, mostly Indian, a lot of fried and fatty, buttery, flour, cakes. But there are enough vegetables, fruits and boiled meat, fish. There will be something to feed the children for sure. We had All, included 3 meals, drinks throughout the day: alcoholic cocktails, juices, ice coffee on the beach. The room is beautiful, there is a Russian TV channel. We couldn't figure out the light for a very long time, the first days we slept with it, it was uncomfortable. For some reason, it is not customary in the emirates to tip the maids, we persistently left and no one took it until you put it right in your hands. The staff is helpful and friendly, everyone speaks broken English. There are a la carte restaurants, we were only in Italian, nothing special. The lobby has become paid for All-inclusive. We went a couple of times by taxi to the Marina Mall shopping center, to the hypermarket and the exchanger. They bought souvenirs at the same time. There is almost no entertainment, but it was not relevant to us, the goal is a seal vacation. Would you come back here again? Rather, yes, but now I want to go to Dubai, and walk in the city, and not just lie around the pools. And the bay should look like a boundless blue sea, and not a fenced bay.

The food is delicious, you can always choose a dish to taste. Drinks with the "all on" system are poured at the bar, on the beach, in the restaurant, and in the lobby cafe.

The spa has a gym and sauna, a children's room, however, I have never seen anyone in it.
From the hotel you can walk (min 10) to the Presidential Palace.

We left Moscow on 04.02. now we are here. It's +21 outside, it feels like +15. The sea is +19 +20 degrees. Do not regret and take ultra all inclusive. All 7 restaurants of the hotel will be available to you, not just one. There is no balcony in our room, there is nowhere to dry the linen, it dries in the bathroom for three days... It's very uncomfortable. There is not a wide variety of food, but what is quite tasty. The staff is very friendly and friendly. The room is cleaned every day. Beach: there is no view of the bay from the word at all, I have never been to such beaches. Opposite there is a view of the construction site ... i.e. our beach, the bay, and through it there is a construction of houses. The view is certainly not very (((.

The impression was spoiled immediately.. We arrived with an infant at 16:00. A room with a sea view and a cot were indicated. They took us to the 8th floor to a room with a view of the city (beautiful, but noisy) there is no crib for a child. We went to the reception, they told us to wait an hour for another room. OK, we waited. The children's bed was waited until 8 p.m., when they were reminded for the third time. They have some kind of trouble with towels. The first day there were 2 sets of 3 towels + for a bidet. Then every day there were fewer and fewer Towels. It got ridiculous that after the next cleaning, when they came to the room, they saw only one towel. I had to call the front desk every time. Cleaning is generally something. The adjoining rooms were always cleaned in the morning. We came to the room at 3 and it was never cleaned, then at 4-5 o'clock we found a piece of paper on the door: they say, we came, but it says do not disturb you. It's a good excuse. They started repairs under the windows by the pool and spent days hammering something there. The food is good, but monotonous from day to day. In restaurants, everything is really on the menu, the choice of dishes is limited and drinks too. The staff is friendly.

At the entrance to the beach where the beach administration is, there is also a mini gym and a spa complex. There are also safe boxes, shower, toilet and changing rooms. I was a week before the New Year and I'm ready to come back again. In order, let's start with the price. Half, or more often a third, of the cost of the Royal Meridian Dubai Marina. The only differences are in the diet, the depth of the beach, the lack of balconies for smokers and the fact that there is no Dubai Wok and Ferris wheel nearby. The Meridian definitely wins here. But! Otherwise, the championship is subjective for the Intercontinental.
Infrastructure. Its own promenade around the marina and beyond, an abundance of restaurants and cafes, a special fishmarket, a chic +29 swimming pool on the 3rd floor, two fitness centers, one of which is in the beach complex, and a special beach infrastructure. Fitness, spa, two pools, also +29, a water slide for children, unlimited ice drinking water, two restaurants and a bar. What else would anyone like to forget about everything…
Location. For activists: 25 minutes walk to Marina Mall (Gucci, Prada, Versace.... and a huge Karefour), 10 minutes on foot to the amusement park on the Corniche (50 cent and Sting recently performed), 35-40 minutes on foot along the Corniche to the beach of the same name. The last route was not implemented. 75 dirhams by taxi to the island of Yas. Ferrari, Warner Brothers, Waterworld and a large mall akin to The Moll of Emirates.
Food. I've definitely gained 3 kilograms in a week. Everything is delicious. An abundance of salads, snacks, desserts. They try not to report meat, poultry and fish. They try to save money on us at first, but we are persistent… After my question to the manager of the restaurant, "Where's the fish?", the next morning there was a wonderful salmon and seafood. In general, there is nothing wrong with the food here.
Staff. There is a slight disadvantage here. Only on the third day did they bring bathrobes and slippers, but we were not persistent) But this disadvantage is due to the forgetfulness and relaxation of the staff.
Well, the minus is Wi-Fi. There are routers in the rooms, and a confident reception on the beach. In other places, it's very weak. The Director of Communications has clearly saved money.
As it is, everything else is fine… A solid five. If I find myself facing a choice again: 700 for the Meridian or 300 for the Intercontinental, the answer is obvious - the Intercontinental.
But, this is for those who are going to forget themselves. The rhythm of Abu Dhabi is calm. Well, for "remember everything" - Dubai, but not Meridian, rather JBR.

The lobby, restaurants, pool area - everything has been updated, a separate small building has been built near the shore - spa and fitness, but the rooms are not with the best repair. At first we were placed in a room where the plaster on the ceiling cracked a little and started leaking there. We were moved right away, given a compliment, but the rooms are still not the first freshness and design, which is felt. I liked the breakfasts. There is a large parking lot on site. It's great that there is a pier, you can take a walk.

I do not know English, but nevertheless, I have traveled to a lot of countries, everywhere and in Europe everyone is friendly.In this hotel, there was anger at the reception at the hotel and restaurant that I did not know English., the Russian-speaking reception was not always there and if there was, I talked dryly and reluctantly.I asked for a late check-out, the reception noted, but on the last day, they blocked the card, I left the room and could not go back to the room.The key card is also tied in the elevator, which is very inconvenient, I had to explain myself for a long time using a translator on the phone.A Russian waiter from the restaurant helped.Because of this, it was very unpleasant .They took me from the hotel to the airport by minibus with a luggage trailer, I have not seen this in any country in the world.We were late to the airport, the minibus allegedly ran out of gasoline and the driver took us to the gas station 190 km in one direction.horror in general.The hotel claims that this is the capital of the Emirate.The attitude towards Europeans is completely different.I've been to 20 countries and I've never seen this anywhere!!!! The 5-star hotel is called.!!!!

We had a rest in early December.
Before the trip, I scrolled through all the reviews, trying to find a detailed description of what exactly is included in the type of food breakfast and dinner, and since I did not find it, I suggest you familiarize yourself with the nuances of the hotel's food, which I personally obtained.
Every day you can choose breakfast+lunch or breakfast+dinner.
Breakfast is simple, tea, coffee, buffet snacks and hot dishes (scrambled eggs, omelette) which the cook prepares for everyone, you just need to order and tell the table number.
At dinner, there are restrictions - only 1 drink is available to you - cola, fanta or sprite to choose from.
When we checked in, no one warned us about this. When we came to dinner, the waiter ran up to us and asked what we wanted to drink - I asked for juice, and my husband for a glass of red wine. Later, a nice girl came up to us and offered to bring us a check, we asked for what? For the wine. And then the analysis began, as it turned out, we were given the wrong piece of paper when checking in. For the sake of fairness, I would like to note that they did not take money from us that evening, the mistake of the hotel employee was not ours. After a couple of days of our stay, we met a Russian-speaking hotel employee - she insisted that wine and beer were included in our type of food at dinner, and coming to dinner in the evening and clarifying, the canteen staff again said no, not included. Well, we didn't insist, and we didn't ask any more, anyway, the wine on the first night was terrible. Since you are selling wine, serve a wine list with prices, you will not expect a bill for wine from a bottle of no name.
With regard to the beach, there is a lot of space, comfortable, not crowded at all, only on weekends. The water was cool, I didn't want to dive headfirst. Used cocktails are delicious, my husband took the alcoholic one once and was disappointed - the whiskey in it was cheap, it also seemed terrible to me. And nothing else would have marred our vacation if it hadn't been for the boor from the water entertainment booth “la luna" (banana riding, boating, etc.). Russian Russian. When he came up to us on the first day, I politely explained that I was pregnant, and this was contraindicated for me, I said both in English and in Russian, when he demonstrated that he knew a couple of phrases in Russian. To which he replied, "so you don't want to" and hurriedly left. A day later he came up again, I immediately said "no thanks." He replied, "Don't you have any money?" and walked away again, at the pace of a scalded partridge. On the same day, at the hotel reception, I left a written complaint in English with a request to have a conversation with this employee in order to stop his boorish behavior in the future. They accepted my statement, apologized verbally for it, and that's it! No compliments, no reply letter of apology from the administration. In general, the attitude was upset, well, they are rude and rude to you, figure it out for yourself, I am sure that my complaint did not reach the boor himself.
With regard to cleaning, it was fine, they left a lot of water, added tea/ coffee to the room, changed towels.
As for the room itself, it was spacious, a good bed, mattress and pillows, it was great to sleep. The renovation is old, but clean. I was surprised by the sloppy grouting of seams on natural marble tiles-it really spoils the whole look.
Overall, the impression of the local service is 3. It is far from the Turkish one.

At IC hotels, I always like their restaurants and food in general. This one in Abu Dhabi was no exception. Plus, he has a gorgeous territory, a backyard with walking distance to the pier.
But I don't know why, these days the security of the hotel was strengthened even in the dining room
