Ishak Pasha Palace (Ishak Paşa) is the pearl of the architecture of the east of Turkey, attracts the eyes of thousands of local and foreign tourists with architecture reflecting the features peculiar to the Ottoman, Seljuk and Persian eras.
The historical palace is located five kilometers from the city of Dogubeyazit on a high plateau 1,900 m high, surrounded on three sides by cliffs.
The palace, which was built in the "tulip era" of the Ottoman period, is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, located in a region called the "Gate of Civilization". Ishaq Pasha's palace includes 116 rooms and many architectural structures. These are the facade, courtyards, living room, mosque, kitchen, baths, harem, halls of ceremonies, arches, storerooms of ammunition and food, mausoleum, bakery and dungeon.
The construction of the palace, the walls of which were decorated with various ornaments, was started in 1685 and completed only in 1784.
It's an incredible place. And although it's a long way to get there, I definitely wanted to get here. And I was absolutely not mistaken. It's a stunningly beautiful place. And on the way you will see the peaks of Mount Ararat.
It is one of the buildings worth seeing in this region, the roads are beautiful and there is no parking problem. Just walking around the empty rooms of the palace does not give pleasure after a while. It would be perfect if at least a few rooms and halls were designed according to the period and the exhibition was created.
A great place for a guided tour.
The palace is huge. There are basement rooms where you can get to. You can go to the mosque located on the territory.
Entrance is 70 TL
, You can get there by dolmush (local minibus) price 12TL one way
If you will visit us in the province of Agra, be sure to visit. A new model (in the sense of everything being restored again), but interesting. Especially Zindan. Both the view of the palace and the view from the palace are beautiful.
Nearby are the remains (ruins) of the Bayazet fortress. For lovers of antiquity and creativity of Pikul.
I strongly recommend that everyone who comes to Igdir Doğubeyazit or the immediate vicinity visit it, it smells of history here, especially in the summer season, I say go and taste the depth of the palace
I also visited different beautiful places in Ağrı. This is one of them. It is definitely a must-see place with both its wonderful architecture, location and the landscape around it

It is very interesting and unusual. I definitely recommend it. Mostly they are visited by locals. If you want to know how the sultan's harem lived, how 200 years ago they swam in pools, and the servants lived in the basement, go there.
