The airport is magnificent and huge! All the services needed for the trip and transfer are conveniently located and easily recognizable. Even if you don't know foreign languages well, everything is intuitively clear - where to go, where to check in for the next flight, where to get your luggage, where to find recreation areas, meals, and medical care. There is free hot and cold water in the "fountains" and coolers, well-equipped smoking areas on the balconies, high-quality paper in the toilets, plumbing is equipped with devices for intimate hygiene. Prices in cafes correspond to all similar ones at other airports, but
there is an opportunity to eat in a more economical segment.
It is not for nothing that it is the largest airport in Europe. It's really huge, but it's quite comfortable. It is impossible to get lost in it, as there are quite a lot of different signs and information signs that you can use to navigate (of course, if you know at least one of the two languages in which they are written, Turkish-English). The number of shops and cafes up to the control area is simply amazing. Again, after passing the control, their number is no less. As the city of Istanbul itself is called the city connecting Europe and Asia, so its airport maintains this status. Although judging by the number of different flights, I think Africa and North America can be added here. While at the airport, you can hear the languages of people from different parts of the world. Although its size is a plus, it is still a minus in a sense. I think that because of the size, arriving at the airport two hours before departure is not enough. You can spend a lot of time walking to the check-in desk and then to the boarding gate.
