A brand new museum, which is integrated into the public space of the Galata port. The museum has several floors with works by Turkish artists since the middle of the 19th century. Some very interesting works come across. It takes at least 3 hours to inspect the entire exposition.
In Galataport, full pay is 120 TL, student pay is 60 TL and payment is made only by credit card. Each floor expresses the works belonging to a period. In addition, the currents of each period also take place separately. The works of the great masters who pioneered Turkish and Ottoman painting such as Osman Hamdi Bey, Seker Ahmet Pasha and Ibrahim Çallı are exhibited in abundance. But the sculptural works are very few. I thought that Roman and Byzantine period works are also exhibited in the museum.
A wonderful museum in Galataport. There is a collection of paintings here, starting with imitative copies of European ones and ending with interesting modern authors. There are works with political overtones glorifying Ataturk. The collection is very diverse. It's cool in the museum.. An important caveat is that payment is accepted only by card
