It is an extremely passenger-hostile airport. It was designed to carry people for miles. I have used many airports in Turkey and around the world, you just need to arrive an extra half an hour earlier at Istanbul airport, sometimes you get to the plane in a hurry despite this.
Transportation to the airport is already a separate problem. You either need to leave 3-4 hours in advance or pay for a taxi as much as a plane ticket. While all other metropolitan airports make your job easier with subways and short taxi journeys, it is a shame for passengers that this place is built in the opposite logic first of all.

This is a domestic airline terminal in Turkey, everything is simple and clear. It is very large, fortunately there are traversers (moving paths). Our flight was delayed and the exit was moved from the second floor to the first, the whole crowd was escorted by airport staff. There are clean toilets, 220v and usb sockets between the seats in the waiting room. There is a place to eat, prices are noticeably lower than in the international terminals of this airport. There is an airport application where you can find the desired boarding gate and plot a route to it inside the airport from the place where you are. But it can't be done outside the building, you need to use Bluetooth airport tags or specify exactly where you are to see the route. The speed of the inspection is certainly faster than the international terminal, since there is no customs. I could not connect to Wifi, I did not receive SMS to the number of the Russian Federation and Armenia, and I did not look for a device for issuing a password using my passport (there is definitely one in the international terminal).

Any terminal at Istanbul Airport is beautiful, convenient and understandable. The staff is always helpful with any question.
