Iverskaya Mountain. A wonderful place in New Athos, which must be visited to admire the wonderful view of the sea and Abkhazia. If you are going to the mountain in the warm season, it is better to go early, at 5-7 o'clock. There won't be many people and it won't be hot. In any case, even if you are taken to the ticket office by car, then you will have to walk uphill along a steep path for about 1 km. Buy comfortable shoes. The entrance to the mountain costs 300 rubles, take cash On the way there will be a free toilet. Read the story related to Iverskaya Gora on the Internet. This will add interesting knowledge and a sense of contact with history. On the mountain you will find a spring, a chapel in honor of the Tver Mother of God, a tower and the best view.
To get there, you need to overcome a hiking route along a mountain serpentine (the path is wide, but over rocks). Be sure to wear comfortable shoes!
I climbed for 35 minutes - from the entrance to the New Athos cave to the top.
The views from the top (350m above sea level) are amazing! It's worth getting up!
It's a great place, the views are gorgeous. The impression was slightly spoiled by the fact that we paid for the passage (although, as everywhere, without tickets or checks, well, okay), but no one bothered to warn us that at a certain time the tower on the mountain closes, and after we climbed up, after a couple of minutes the male caretaker began to kick us out. So keep this in mind and clarify it better in advance.
