We visited the cinema in the Astana shopping center in Aktau, namely the Zhalyn cinema, and were completely shocked by what was happening. It was the worst cinema experience of our lives.
Let's start with the staff. The cashier turned out to be the most disgusting person — no greeting, no respect for customers. The communication is rude, as if they are doing you a favor that you came at all. The rest of the staff is no better — the atmosphere is tense and unpleasant.
The worst thing happened during the session. Right in the middle of the movie, they interrupted the viewing, turned on the lights and started a showdown with one of the audience, who apparently brought food with him, and did not buy popcorn from them. As a result, these “showdowns” lasted as long as 45 minutes! This is simply unacceptable. The session was ruined for everyone who came just to enjoy the movie.
Such an attitude towards the audience is a spit in the face. The management of this institution should seriously reconsider how the cinema is run and who works for them. Until things change, I advise no one to visit this terrible place. Even closing would be the best solution.
Where should I start?
It is not possible to book tickets in any way. You have to go to the cinema. Payment is only by card or in cash, because there is no Caspi terminal. You will not be able to go to the afternoon session. If you are less than 5 people, tickets will not be sold and the session will not start. Well, the screen. In most cases, the picture is very soapy and out of focus. The feeling that my eyesight has dropped sharply to -2. Please adjust the focus on the projector!
It's a terrible movie theater. The staff is zero, to go through with your food is still a test, payment is only in cash, the session was interrupted 2 times, the picture just disappeared and the whole room looked at an empty screen and listened to a movie, for 10 minutes the staff solved this problem with the lights on in the hall. The picture itself is 5/10, dim and not of the best quality. The second star is purely for the lowest price in the city, but it's clear why
One of the monuments of the early 2000s, so to speak, is an old cinema and has completely worn itself out. Everything else is an ordinary trading house, with some kind of history of its boutiques somewhere
The cinema itself is not bad, but the staff is terrible. Grandma ran after us the whole session and checked if we were eating chips, and also threatened to interrupt the show if she found chips. You can take everything: crackers, onion rings, but not chips... Tickets are inexpensive, which saves the situation. You can't buy them online.
There is a good cinema in the city, tickets bite, the bank card payment service is not available yet

An ordinary medium-level cinema, closer to a bad one. As always, most viewers come to the sessions to devour and talk loudly. If this is not a problem for you, then you can walk.
