In 2017, when I was able to visit this place, the palace was a pitiful sight, I hope now we have found the money to restore and repair it.

Not many historical buildings have been preserved in Jelgava. It is all the more gratifying that the creation of the great Rastrelli, picturesquely spread out on the banks of the Lielupe, can be observed in all its glory. Especially now, after the restoration. As you know, an educational institution is now functioning inside the wonderful building, so you won't be able to see anything particularly interesting there. But at the same time, you can go inside, and evaluate interior solutions too. The staff was very kind to us, they told us everything they could. Many people come here to see the tomb of the Dukes of Courland. But the main value is, of course, the palace itself from the outside.
