A wonderful hotel! Many thanks to the staff) The guys at the reception are Russian speakers. The Turkish staff is incredibly friendly. They taught me Turkish words) The only thing that annoyed me was that the air conditioner wasn't working in the room, but we made do with the window and didn't pay attention to this misunderstanding at all. The room was cleaned every other day - we were completely satisfied. The location is great again! You go outside - in fact, Sirkeci train station is nearby, there are a lot of delicious shops with Turkish sweets, the Bosphorus and the port are 5 minutes away, and the Galata Bridge is also nearby. In general, I recommend this hotel!
I will write the pros and nuances. But I must say right away - the hotel is good. It's old, but clean.
Location 10/10:
Fatih district, historical center, 5 minutes walk to the bus/tram stop/port on the embankment/metro.
Price 10/10 :
very budget friendly and the value-for-money ratio is very decent.
Staff: 10/10
There is a Russian-speaking staff. But mostly English will help.
Everyone is responsive, they try to solve any issue.
Food - breakfast: 10/10
For a hotel at this price, it's great.
Omelet, boiled eggs, two types of cheese, sausage, green salad, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, a couple of traditional salads, broccoli and cauliflower, potatoes, omelet, sausages, fries, muesli, porridge, olives.
Dessert: mannikin and chocolate cake.
Butter, several types of jam
Coffee (vending machine), two types of juice, water, tea, milk.
It's monotonous, but every day it's fresh from under the knife.
Number: 7/10
Everything is very clean. Cleaning and changing of towels daily. Linen change every two/three days. The bathroom door needs to be repaired (apparently due to poor ventilation, it was swollen). There is a hairdryer, shower accessories, everything except a toothbrush and toothpaste. There are no bathrobes, just slippers. There are 2 towels per guest.
There is no air freshener in the room, the heated towel rail does not work, there is no shoe spoon. It is not convenient to hang a mirror at the entrance.
Don't expect a view from the window. There are rooms in the courtyard with a view of other people's roofs or a view of the windows of another hotel. There is no view of the central street in any of the rooms. Perhaps there is a suite on the 6th floor. There is a terrace there.
Minus: there is no parking. But in this area, in principle, it does not exist. The transfer can drop you off on the other side of the house or across the street. But this is not critical.
The audibility is very good in the hotel. The walls are thin.
The hotel is quiet. We beat with my husband and child. For overnight stays and breakfasts - great. This hotel is not for noisy company. And for a relaxing time.
I personally liked everything. I came to Istanbul, not to the hotel.
On a budget. Clear. Quietly. In the centre
So. My personal opinion. The most disgusting hotel I've been to. The staff, with the exception of one person, was extremely indifferent, they answered all requests - I don't know, we can't, tomorrow.
They asked for an iron, we don't have it. They asked to change the room, as the air conditioners roared all night - there are no available rooms, however, after walking around the floors there were empty rooms.
They asked to fix the toilet, they said that the repairman would come tomorrow, the result was that no one came.
Breakfast is a piece of amulet and cheaper than sausage.
The only advantage is a place in the center of old Istanbul.
Rooms, conventionally 5x5. It's humid, damp. The toilet is just awful. There's hair everywhere after cleaning. It's just darkness. I do not recommend it!
