It is a very interesting and atmospheric place. The hakham is historical from the 13th century, but was restored in 1950. Restored for the local population, definitely not a tourist destination. Therefore, the prices are gentle. In October of the 24th year, 500 and something liras room (without time limit) and 240 for peeling with a mitten and washing.
It is better for impressionable and gentle ladies not to come in! To fans like me, welcome, you will be delighted!
I came on Saturday at 16 o'clock, in 32 degrees of heat, passing by. Slippers, towels, hair dryer - everything is there.
My aunt tore off my skin, which was familiar in a mitten, so that it was already possible to start whining)), soaped quickly. At first you sit in a room strangely called a SAUNA, about which there is even an inscription above the entrance. But there is only wooden flooring from the sauna, everything else is from the hammam. It's humid, the temperature is about 45 * C, it's definitely not a Russian steam room. But you will start sweating there easily and quickly. After that, your aunt will wipe you off)). Then you can sit there indefinitely. Like me. And also walk around with a mitten. Or just bask on the marble. When you come out, there will be a large cotton towel with a terry cloth.
This hammam really looks like a real one, There is no tourist gloss, that's how it happens. There were two other Turkish women with me.
I was already in a similar hammam next to the Karite Church about 10 years ago, but it was built in the 16th century)), and this one has been rooted in the ground since the 11th century.
I recommend
An interesting place. Authentic. The cost for February 2025 is 1,140 liras (lower than in tourist places). You can stay without any time limit. It is heated with firewood. Changing booths with transparent glass. Towels and rubber slippers are provided. We took our slippers from the point of view of hygiene standards. Services in the women's room (scrub and massage) are quite formal: not for long at all. Perhaps because there were quite a lot of people - about 15 people in the entire hammam. Scrub with one washcloth for everyone. During the scan, the auntie master sang in Turkish. Tea was not given at the end. While the men were given😅. There were fewer people in the men's room, and the two bath attendants were able to pay much more attention to their clients than the women in the women's room received from their bath attendants. We made this conclusion after completing the procedures.
I was looking for a good Hammam without pathos, for the locals. I liked this one. There are separate men's and women's sections. We came with a friend for lunch. There were almost no people. We were warned at the entrance that payment is only in cash. They gave me a dressing room and a key to it. After that, they took me to the steam room. Two sets of 10 minutes each and the massage therapists came for us. They did the scrub with a glove and soap. After that there was a massage. Everything was clean and new. There were no foreign smells. I really liked it. After all the procedures, we changed towels and sat drinking tea in the lobby. The program was chosen for 790 liras. I liked everything! I recommend it! Tea and water are optional.
It's a nice, not pretentious place. My husband is a fan of baths. He visits similar places in every country. I was skeptical about the boors. But he returned satisfied. Like it. It's all clear. The towels are clean. The hammam is mostly for locals, but it is historical. The price tag is 1200 liras for about a wash, scrub and foam. Scrubbed clean. We went to the airport right before we left. It was the right decision. Rested and clean))
The hammam is a test. We've been here with the girls before. The price has slightly increased. The steam is good. Clear. Unfortunately, massage is for an additional fee, but everything is of high quality. A historic building. Very tasty tea.
I recommend it to those who are looking for a Real hammam.
Don't be afraid to go to this hammam, on the contrary, go for sure!
It differs from the hammam for 60 euros per person, which is full in Istanbul, but this is its feature! A real local hammam is not for pretentious people. But I can tell you everything cleanly. I bought my mitten, but a full Turkish woman, smiled and said that it was a pathetic semblance of what is used in a normal hammam. She rubbed me to shine with her washcloth, and then she also did a massage with foam. The procedure didn't last long, but I managed to relax. A couple more times I went to the sauna myself, lay down to warm up my body, washed myself, as is customary in such establishments, sitting in the lotus position, pouring myself with a cup from the sink. Happy, clean and relaxed, I went home! There is a hair dryer, if anything, good and fashionable, but only one. Considering that there were three of us, there was no queue to dry our heads. The men's and women's departments are separate! My husband liked it too. An elderly Turkish bath attendant also rubbed it to shine)))
Pay immediately, poking the calf for the required amount, then they will not be able to bring you for additional services, they did not try to.
The price of the issue is 790 liras.
I'm happy!
I visited this hammam in October 2024. The choice was made due to the territorial proximity to the hotel and affordable prices for services.
Everything that was written earlier I can confirm is authentic, simple, not a tourist place, they do not speak English, and even more so in Russian. It didn't stop me from enjoying the process.
The cost is 750 Turkish lira.
In terms of time, peeling and washing with soap foam are faster than stated, in the steam room (sauna) - without restrictions.
We were not looking for a tourist hammam. That's why we decided to go here, but I'll make a reservation right away that the issue of sanitation here is quite free-form, so those who are not used to public baths, it's better not to go.
The cost of 800 is a hammam, 170 scrub, 170 massage.
The hammam itself is antique, it is obvious that it is worn out.
Steam, you should not expect heat like in our sauna. It's more like a dry sauna, where you sweat well if you sit down.
They really wash them all with one mitten, but they rub them carefully, you can fasten them together.
It's hard to call it a massage, we just stretched our body, but after a few days in Istanbul it was bliss.
My husband and I chose this hammam based on not bad reviews and decided to relax on the last day. Well, what I can say is not shabby inside, you can see that with the story and this is the only plus .We took a hammam without a massage for 1140 lira (3420₽) , the employee was very insistent on a massage . They barely understand Russian at all. There were only tourists .the quality is 1 point, everything is very fast, cleaned with one brush, washed well, nothing was shown how or what. They sent me to wash afterwards without a steam room for peeling and foam massage (in fact, no massage, only washing with soap), they sent me to rest, and they didn't even offer me tea.It took an hour. Don't waste your time and money, it's not worth it.
It was 03/08/25
Terrible service, it's hard to imagine that such a thing exists in the post-covid world.
First of all, no one speaks English. Secondly, they do not want to accept payment in euros.
They didn't wash me properly, they put a lot of pressure on my chest and arms. They washed it with a glove that they took out wet from somewhere in the bins. It feels like she washed the floor of Istanbul before me. They hit me painfully on the back, "like massaging me." They tried to extort tips for the terrible procedure. They escorted me out ahead of time and didn't let me cool down. Tea wasn't even offered
Highly not recommended
A good inexpensive hammam with massage and scrub. Of the cons, no one speaks English and I would like a massage longer)
An interesting option is to immerse yourself in an authentic hammam, where the Turks themselves go
An atmospheric, cozy and ancient place. The price tag has gone up, the boor lives in the room itself, very big and pretty. Washed, crumpled, rinsed and went back to sleep) You can sit as long as you want, for admission + massage + foam washing about 4000 rubles (1200 lira)
If you want to try a real Turkish hammam (without pretense) Then definitely go. Friendly staff, there was no one else but us on Saturday at 12 o'clock. We took the maximum package (entrance, machalka, steam massage and oil massage) and paid 1,410 lire/person.
We left happy, we want to go before we leave)
The hammam is certainly not luxurious as in tourist areas, but here it is the same as there, only for much less money. We come here every time we visit Istanbul. After that, the hamam was born again. The hamam building is by the way 17th century.
It's a great place.
The staff really doesn't speak English. But everyone coped with the task!
It doesn't look like what I do in hotels or tourist baths.
A magnificent authentic place, a separate room for changing clothes and things, locked with a key that you take with you
They were led into a warm room with marble bowls, then when they warmed up, they gave a massage and smeared with foam. A very pleasant aroma of foam, rubbed with a handkerchief and sent to the steam room.
No one limits the time, you can sit as long as you want
Price per person entrance+massage+foam-530 liras
Towels are provided on site, clean and smell nice.
Of course, it is better to take your own slippers with you, the same applies to hair and body wash products. (Slippers and shampoo are there, shampoo is so-so, but you will not be the first to have slippers)
In general, I recommend it.
Don't expect luxury here.
Well... what to say... public bathhouse. In principle, inexpensive is a plus. 530 liras with a scrub and foam procedure. Historical. There is a huge granny bath attendant at the entrance. Separate dressing rooms. Then - to the sauna, then to the hammam, then your grandmother scrubbed you with a washcloth for 15 seconds on a crowd of people, then frothed and that's it....
A classic local hammam, not a tourist one. Like a public bathhouse. No tourist frills. Everything was given on the spot (slippers, several towels). The washcloth is normal, yes, it is used for everyone. I brought mine, but the employee didn't rub it, it's not like that. Overall, the feeling is pleasant. Like at home, carefully washed. They didn't give me tea, but I didn't ask for it. It makes no sense to sit alone with local aunts without knowing Turkish.
Unfortunately, inflation broke all records in 2022.
The prices are as follows (December 2023):
390 liras (1300₽) - just enter and use the hammam
530 liras (1700₽) - enter and a sweet Turkish woman rubs you, then soaps and rinses
140 lira (450₽) - oil massage for 20 minutes.
There was no massage, I was just rubbed with oil.
For comparison: now a standard complex in the tourist zamami costs from 50 euros (~5000₽).
And also for comparison. In 2018, a public hammam with a classic set cost 70 lira 🥲
There are only tourists in the hammam, apparently its historicity captivates, as well as me. I go to public baths in different cities, including old baths in provincial cities of Russia, but it wasn't very good at all. The feeling of unsanitary conditions did not leave. It was cool even for a hammam, only hot water saved. I ordered a kese massage and a soapy one, I had not yet had time to warm up as the employee came to do a kese, then a quick soapy one. Everything is very fast, soaping
and massage can not be called. On the positive side, only clean towels and sheets. I sincerely advise you not to, if you want to have fun, then it's better to visit another place.
Do not take a massage, just pay for it , but in fact they do not do it, they will rub it with a mitten , lather it and that's it. 790 liras is a lot for such services.
It was in March 2025, the cost of a visit to peeling and massage 1140 liras did not justify itself, but I do not recommend gentle washing and massage in a hurry
If you mean I went to the hammam, it is one of the first 3 baths to go to in Istanbul. One of the landmarks of the neighborhood where I was born and raised. I say make room in your program for the Galley Bath, which is on its way to the galley.
I'm thrilled. Before the hammam, we visited the harem in the tapkapi palace. There was a boor in the harem, so this boor is just the same as in the harem. I felt like a Hyurem). The price for admission, scrub and foam massage is 400 liras. You can also pay for an additional massage for 120 liras. The staff is very friendly, there are very few people. But I recommend coming no later than 19 o'clock. We left at 21:00 and the hammam was closed after us. Very authentic, well steamed. Scrub and foam massage are the very thing
The hammam is really old. But clean
They give clean towels.
The price at the end of September is 520 liras.
A hammam (bath) is included, scrubbing for a few minutes, foam is washed (immediately a few minutes of massage type) That's it
And massage with oil for an additional fee (140 liras).
Someone writes, well, what you wanted is enough, it's not a luxury hammam, etc. But since it is stated that a bath, scrub and massage, then there should probably be a massage for at least 15-20 minutes.
I have long wanted to come to the Turkish bath in Istanbul. Kadirga Hamam turned out to be not far from the hotel. On Monday morning, apparently no one needed a bath, he washed alone. At first it seemed that it was cold in the sauna, then I started sweating, sweated beautifully and washed myself. The setting is certainly not from the royal baths from the cinema, but the main thing is the sense of self. You just need to relax and unwind.
It's a very peculiar place. The entire program, including massage, lasts no more than 30 minutes. But you can steam for a long time. Male and female entrance are separate! The main thing is not to confuse)
Like many, I read the reviews. I'll say this: the bad reviews were probably written by people who were a little bit greedy and ignorant of Turkish hammams.
Everything is as they write, 2 pleasant obese aunts meet, sooo good-natured. The hamam itself is not new and without all this "dorohobohato".
BUT! The authenticity of Turkey will be fully felt in this hammam. Of course, you can choose any new hammam, in which the price will be at least 60 euros per visit, but this is no longer the case, there is a heavy suite. Before going here, you need to put aside all expectations of your life and just get high. For 300 lire, they will blow a glove, make a foam massage, and you can still splash around in a room with baths for a long time. The girls and I really liked it, we got high
I've been here twice.
The cost is 330 liras for: first rinsed, then stayed in a non-hot sauna (but this is enough to open the pores), then you are rubbed with a sponge (Turkish), then they do a foam massage (about 5 minutes), then they rinse and let you wash your hair.
I went before I flew to sunbathe in another country and it was important for me to remove the gryazuka from my body, I think this place is perfect for this.
After arriving back, I went again and took an additional massage for 100 lira. One of the bath attendants does it. It does well, although fast enough and not for relaxation, but to stretch the muscles. That's what I wanted.
There are not many people. The first time there were only 5 of us, the second time there were 2.
The price is likely to become more expensive because the exchange rate is changing.
In general, I recommend it to those who want to plunge into the atmosphere of the city)
Historical hammam. Mandatory to visit in Istanbul, it seems to me. But you need to understand that this is a historical, very authentic, 500-year-old hammam. It doesn't look like a single percent of what is called a hammam in Russia.
A wonderful hammam, the main thing is that everything is clean, the ceiling is a little scary (antiquity). The entrance is separate, the map shows the entrance for men, the entrance for women from another street.Very warm and wonderful cleaners. It costs 300 lire.I recommend
I barely forced my mother to go to the hammam for the first time, in the end everything turned out wonderfully, we were satisfied. We arrived an hour before closing time. We doused ourselves with water, steamed, then two magnificent Turkish women rubbed us with a washcloth, then there was a foam massage. Wonderfully simple!
They give towels before and after, slippers, shampoo. It's all clear. You lock the dressing room with a key.
The building is also so old, the ceilings are high, you're steaming under the dome.
At the moment, the price for a single visit is 160 liras, for a visit + scrub and massage 220 liras.
We are very glad that we went there!

Well, the place is modest, but everything is there, I put 5 for the price / quality.
Women work well, don't fuss, and don't rush. Personally, I managed everything with this deputy, I was in the morning. And they washed it, and it was heartwarming. We even sang with the bath attendant, she is big and warm).
The total price for the complex is very small.
In addition to soap massage, a simple massage can be ordered, a sauna without restrictions is free of charge. I took a massage, it's rustic, it doesn't reach well, but I still recommend it for sensations. And yes, it's better to take your own cream or oil.. and you need to take a hair dryer with you, there is no one there).
A good hammam, there is a female half, old but clean, there is a hair dryer. My friend and I liked it

Great hammam! Despite the lack of renovation it seems since opening in 1505, it is magnificent! At the time of my visit in February 2024, the cost with massage, washing, etc. is 530 lira. I recommend
The service place is terrible. Men have a post-payment, and women have an advance payment. My wife couldn't get into the hammam, because I had the money. Awful.
I understand everything about the color and features of public steam rooms, but this is too much. This is not my first hammam in Turkey, but I did not expect this. Everything is extremely old and worn and does not seem clean at all! The hammam is cold, without steam. Grannies are funny, but not bathgirls at all. I bought a queso in advance, I did the right thing, indeed, they wash everyone with one washcloth!!!!! I was with my daughters, they are shocked by the surroundings and the service. The peeling lasted 5 minutes, there was essentially no massage (suppressed on the back for at least 3 minutes). Apogee - the power was turned off, the hair could not be dried, they left with wet ones. I do not recommend it!
Of course, before visiting, I read all the reviews and write the most up-to-date information. A lover of the bathhouse, not just some one-time visitor. The first impression of what you see can be deceptive.
1. I compared all the reviews that were on the Internet for all the hamams in Istanbul, and decided to visit this one, since I was primarily interested in price, quality and location.
2. I even took towels from the hotel with me, bought a washcloth there for 20 Lira, I was afraid that their own, I would be rubbed after half the women of Istanbul, as they wrote in the reviews, And that they would cover me with dirty dried towels, Dirty throws in the trash, and she dries which they take out of the washing machine I saw it myself.
3. I took the towels with me in vain, they were just as clean.
4. The steam in the hammam should not be hot. At first, we warmed up in an ordinary Finnish steam room, after 15 minutes, when we were sweating, we were invited to the washing department. The cost of the procedure is 110 Lira + the cost of a glove
is 20.5. I spent exactly 2 hours in the hammam, Chatted with other visitors, warmed up, sang Russian songs, had a great time.
6. When they were doing massage and scrub, the cleaners sang songs, and we tried to sing along. It's a wonderful atmosphere, it's worth going back there just for the sake of it. And
when I arrive in Istanbul, the first thing I will do is return to this hammam.
And for your information, foam massage, like scrub, in all hamams for 5-6 minutes, this is the ritual. It doesn't matter how much you pay for admission. There is a hairdryer, free of charge.
The price for the washing complex is 165 liras, 50 liras on top - a good massage.
In general, everything is very good, although it is very far from luxury. But those who did not go for luxury will definitely not be disappointed.
I do not recommend it...They rubbed half a tambourine with one mitten, probably. The hammam is cold, there is no steam, the stones are cold.I had no luck with the cleaner.:an old obese grandmother barely rubbed me, pressing me into a marble slab, then when she poured water on me, she did it very casually, poured a basin from the side, which caused water to get into my ear.As a result, grandma scrubbed me badly, then I scrubbed myself for a long time. I really regretted that I ordered a massage after that. The old grandmother did it again, stupidly pressing on body parts and the spine!!!!I paid a little, of course, for this.According to our money, 1000 rubles, it's not a pity, but damn, it's better to walk dirty than such a hammam.
A good public hammam. Three towels are provided. You can only pay in cash. We sat in the hammam, then the bath attendant washed (took off all the dirt :) I am satisfied with the service), you can also get a massage service for an additional fee.
I would like to note that the entrance to the women's hammam is on the other side of the street.

For a big fan...
a mitten that has been rubbing you for it is unclear how many years. It was unpleasant to realize how many bodies had already been wiped off for her... Therefore, it is better to buy YOUR own, a new one. It will be more comfortable, it is inexpensive (20lir)
On the contrary, the foam massage was cool, relaxing, BUT not long, about 2 minutes.
It is also better to take your own towel, because they do not wash the towels that they have... My flight was just hung out to dry (I was shocked) ....
The hammam itself is clean, very cozy. You can sit and warm up for at least 40 minutes.
It's better to take your own slippers too, so that you don't pick up the fungus.
They don't serve tea in the women's department, but it's a pity. It is better to go to the men's room, there is tea, sugar, and a hair dryer to dry your hair.
2/5....

The bathhouse is not bad (yes, they actually wash with one glove and all that) if you love and are ready for such places . But it's expensive. 70 rubles for admission or 110 with massage and washing . The washing and massage was very fast!
But this is my first trip to the hammam, so there is nothing to compare 4 stars with
After reading the positive reviews, I went to this hammam. What can I say: this place is definitely not for the squeamish. They haven't heard about disposable slippers and peeling gloves there. Yes, yes, they rub everyone with one glove. There is no couple in the hammam, maybe this is due to the fact that I came an hour before closing time. They give you a bowl and you water yourself. The hammam + scrub + foam massage complex costs 80 liras. The massage lasted about 5 minutes, it was enough for me, because it hurt.
