Here, in the Grotto cafe, gullible tourists are led by well-fed guides, everything is too expensive and not tasty here. The staff is not very polite. The plastic tables are squalid. If you walk a little further, literally a hundred or two hundred meters in the other direction along the coast, you can find many cafes with prices twice as low and with a much more pleasant interior.
There was a man at the entrance, he sent me here to the parking lot. Upon arrival, I met another one, said that the exit from the parking lot was 500 rubles (interestingly, it turns out that check-in is free). If the receipt in the cafe is from 1000, you don't have to pay for parking. Here we sit, choking. The pilaf is dry, the grub is liquid, almost without meat, but if you mix it all, you can eat it
The cost of the sauce is 200 rubles + 10% of the receipt - service (almost like in Europe ... it's a pity the service is not like that yet)
They don't even deserve one star.
We ordered 1 serving of shish kebab, brought it burnt and over-dried.
On my refusal to pay for it, they said, well, pay 200 rubles (a portion costs 450 rubles)
The whole staff is rude, they raise their voices, they refused to redo the meat because this is the last portion. Although before that they offered to take 2 servings.
The serving of this meat is also terrible. There is meat in one plate in the middle, on one side of the meat was filled with tomato sauce, on the other it is unclear what kind of onion.
The toilets on the street are smelly. It is very uncomfortable inside, as if you are sitting in a closed gazebo with other people opposite each other. There's dirt all around.
And plus 10% for the service in a mandatory form, I will refrain from full comments on their service.
I advise you not to approach this place at all, unless you want to spoil your mood.
It's a terrible place. At the entrance, they say "Either you have to pay 500 rubles for departure, or you have to eat in a certain place for more than 1000 rubles." Of the two ordered boats with cheese and egg, one turned out to be yesterday's and warmed up, the pilaf is just terrible, it tastes like it was made with machine oil, as a result, after it a person lies with poisoning… All the rest of the food also leaves much to be desired, especially for such prices, so you also owe +10% for the service.... In general, I do not recommend this place to anyone. It's better to eat in advance or stay hungry, but don't come here!
We were in early November. Of the advantages, only a view of the lake and that's it... The food is terrible. They took meat, one fat and veins. Fries with black hair on a plate! Baked vegetables are very spicy and burnt.Plastic curved beer glasses that need to be held, because they fall.. I do not recommend this institution. This is simply impossible to eat!
Of course, I understood that prices had increased in Abkhazia, but not so much!!! We were at the Ritz in July and decided to have a snack. Prices are at the level of the center of Sochi. We took kebabs, French fries and a boat. I can say it bluntly-it doesn't taste good from the word at all!!!!! Everything is built on flow. And for a lot of money, self-service!!! It's just some trash!!! We will definitely not eat there anymore!!!
Positive:
There is a Wi-Fi connection that you can even connect to. The Internet is working.
A very beautiful view of the lake.
Minuses:
The hodgepodge turned out to be disgusting, with huge chunks of tasteless meat floating in it. I still cringe at the memory of her.
It's a terrible place, I don't recommend visiting it. The only thing I liked about this cafe is the view from it. We ordered a boat and a beer. They brought a boat, it felt like it was heated in a microwave and not the first freshness and the beer in the bottle was not open. No glasses, no bottle opener... but yes, pay for the service, the fee is included... The attitude towards tourists is boorish, well, it won't last long, the boomerang rule exists...
Specifically about the cafe, how many times have you been there, there is no normal barbecue or fries in any of them. It's like pork is 100 years old, and fries are made for the hundredth time in one oil. The roast is just terrible
Everything seems to be beautiful, but the locals behave just disgusting, the desire to make money is simply incredible. There is a man in a vest standing right on the road and shows where there is parking, but after driving into the parking lot you are forced to either eat for 1000 rubles, or give 500 rubles for parking, and it doesn't matter how long you were there. We go further: service ... you are treated like shit, a PREREQUISITE is that you must pay 10% for the service to the waiter, this is in addition to the prices, which are very much overstated here
In short, then:
1. The assessment is either screwed up, or Yandex does not understand how it thinks.
2. I do not recommend eating here in any case.
3. Tea cups with tea leaves from past guests and the staff brushed this tea away with their finger and calmly handed the cup to us😁
4. The kebab is just rubber (veins, fat, zero meat).
5. Forget about the smiles of the staff.
There's a lot more to add, but it's enough to make a conclusion!
The place is definitely beautiful . But the service is very lame, although the prices are asking for more than. We dined there, of all the dishes, only trout was more or less.
In general, I would not eat this a second time
My advice to any tourists who are being taken by a guide on group tours is not to eat where you were told, look where the locals eat, or eat your own food
The quality of the food leaves much to be desired, the prices are cosmic! The view is certainly beautiful, but at such prices you can change the interior accordingly. It is very difficult to pay with a card. It's better to take cash. My advice is to take food with you. Reduce the time significantly.
We took tea and khachapuri. Everything is delicious. It's hotter. Fresh.
But. There's a problem with the service. The common sugar bowl also adds flavor. Everyone is confused, the long wait. If there are a lot of people, then that's it. Collapse. But everyone is friendly enough and trying to solve the problem.
Either there are few employees or the system does not work very well. And maybe it's better to have less choice of dishes then... since basically everyone wants a quick snack while waiting for a ride on the lake.
At the same time, there are a lot of people, since there is a trap with parking, if there is a receipt, then parking is free.

Good cafe, good food, delicious homemade, reasonable prices, very fast
It's not a cafe, it's money down the drain, especially the pig food that they pass off as national cuisine, my two children and I ordered a set lunch in the form of hominy with meat and bean gravy. Nooo no no and no I don 't recommend it 🤢🤢🤢
After 10-15 minutes after no one came up, they suggested that the waitress serve me for a 10% tip and take the menu herself from the next table, if I need it, not the most sincere place and people when I came hungry and frozen)
Disgusting attitude towards the guests, as if we all have to, the food is terrible, I strongly advise against this institution, avoid it. Spoil the mood
just a cafe, not very expensive, not very tasty, no service. in general, the ability of Abkhazians to make a landmark out of each stream and take money for it is amazing. There is absolutely nothing to do on Lake Ritsa itself, ride a catamaran for 500 rubles per person for half an hour, eat pasta with a cutlet in a cafe, stand on the shore and buy a magnet, that's all the joy. If you go there, then, of course, with a visit to Stalin's dacha, it's interesting there
Unlike Sochi, there is less commerce here, which is good news. Parking at Lake Ritsa is free, you can safely park by the lake, no one will charge you money. The place is very beautiful, overlooking the snow-capped mountains. The road to the lake goes through the most beautiful landscapes, classes every meter of the way.
Don't get fooled!!! Don't go downstairs. Drive forward 50 meters, there is free, large Parking 🥲 and go down with your legs)
They lure you down, and then to a cafe so as not to pay for parking. Like if you eat in a cafe for 500 rubles, then you do not need to pay for parking, otherwise 500 rubles. For parking. We fell for it 🫠 the cafe is terrible, we couldn't eat) well, the truth is the price / quality is 2/5, it's not tasty, although everything is very decent, there is no service as such, girls need to be caught, they don't fit themselves, so they also forget who ordered what 😬
We came to see the Ritz like everyone else and decided to have a snack.
I don't recommend the Grotto cafe at all
Everything is terrible. The hodgepodge seemed to have been standing for a month, it turned out not soup but porridge, I did not eat it.
The chicken kebab inside is blue, the chicken is most likely missing, and where else have you seen a chicken kebab on the bone.
It is better to eat before going to the Ritz.
The nature is beautiful, it takes your breath away. Mountains, air. We had a snack in the cafe, we did not like it. Each step is paid, the toilet is 20 rubles.
