The tower with the 5-ruble banknote of the Republic of Belarus.
We visited the fortress tower quickly (for a couple of hours) in May 2022.
We took a tour, it's interesting, the exposition is small, it won't be tedious for children, as in the endless rooms of castles.
You have to pay both for the tour and for the entrance ticket, but the cost is less than in castles.
There are narrow stairs in the tower, people with sore legs will not be able to climb.
There is an observation deck on the roof above, where there is access only with a guide.
It is said that the tower was restored three times, in the 19th century, at the beginning of the 20th and at the end.
Such a tower, of the Volyn fortification type, remained alone, but there were several pieces on the territory of the Vladimir-Volyn Principality and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
The tower is a UNESCO monument, if that means anything.
The tower has never been captured by enemies, which is probably why it is WHITE, that is, free.
The tower was not destroyed either in the First World War or in the second war. The tower was destroyed only by time, wind, sun, precipitation and people. It was abandoned for a long time. Residents dragged the stones into bricks, but were unable to break the tower.
The tower has an interesting foundation base, made of rubble stones laid in river sand.
The tower itself is red from ordinary brick, although it is called the White Tower.
Vezha is a tower. Belo Vezhskaya Pushcha, probably because of the tower.
The entrance to the tower is now arranged from below.
This does not correspond to the project, but it is more convenient for visitors.
It's cold on the first tier, an ancient cellar has been recreated there in half a floor.
Above, where there are windows and loopholes, you can hear the strong howling of the wind.
It's windy on the roof, overlooking the valley.
Earlier in the Middle Ages, the entrance was on the 3rd level, through a door at a height of about 10 meters, they climbed ladders, loads were lifted on ropes.
Inside there is an exhibition of armor of warriors and knights, ancient bows, crossbows, swords, skins, shards, coins, keys, locks. There is something to see even for children.
I recommend it to lovers of towers.
There is a mock-up of the tower with a wooden fence and stairs and there is a mock-up of the tower in the section.
There are flags and coats of arms of the Radziwills with a Chase despite the fascist train.
Downstairs at the cash register, "amulets" with skulls, runes, swastikas and other heresies are on sale.
There are not enough white elements on the tower - false windows, which were previously in the project and certificates.
The tower is interesting in Belarus, one of the most ancient preserved objects, but it is better to look outside, inside, despite the fact that prices are too high, there is nothing to look at, and take pictures for an additional fee.for example, access to the observation deck at the top is only with an excursion, there are very few people on weekdays.
It is a historically important and significant place on the southwestern border of Belarus. A very beautiful and majestic Vezha, located near Belovezhskaya Pushcha. I definitely recommend it to everyone! There is a museum in the tower, which presents historical finds, events and personalities. You can book a guided tour that tells the story of this place. You can go to the museum without a guide, just by buying a ticket at the ticket office located to the right of the tower. However, the advantage of a guided tour is the opportunity to climb to the very top of the tower and appreciate the magnificent view of the surrounding area.
Despite the fact that the tower is 29.4 meters, five floors, the exposition is still very small and there are no highlights in the exhibits presented. Therefore, I advise you to visit with a guide who will tell you more information than you can see. The tower is unique for Belarus, I advise you to visit it. Tours stop selling an hour before the museum closes. There is parking, a toilet, and you can buy a memory magnet at the ticket office.
I was not on the tour, but the view, the grooming is not bad.
Plus, there is an audio guide that was accidentally found on the Internet, you can walk around the center and listen to short stories about many buildings. Informative.
A great museum! I liked it very much. If you are in Kamenets, be sure to visit the tower, you will not regret it. You don't have to take a tour, pay the entrance fee, quite a bit, and see everything yourself.
Of the disadvantages, they are not allowed to go to the observation deck without a guide (you need to pay extra separately) and they also ask you to pay extra for shooting on camera.
Of the advantages, there are 5 floors with exhibits related to the city and its history.
In short, everything is great. I highly recommend a visit. You must take the tour, the guide told you an amazing story. An exciting story for 45 minutes. The tower is steep both outside and inside.
I liked the tower itself as a monument. The place is picturesque, the view is beautiful, the tower is impressive. But, upstairs, you can only climb to the roof with a guide who, at the time of the visit, led the tour from the bus. It would be possible to wait, of course, but there is frankly nothing to do there except visit the tower. Which, it seems to me, is a big omission of the organizers...
The place is certainly beautiful and interesting from an excursion point of view.It is written that the ticket office was closed until 17.30. The museum was closed until 18.00. We arrived at 17.00. The museum was closed, the caretakers were sitting next to us on a bench, they opened the museum for us with a dissatisfied look, they did not let us into the observation tower, explaining that it was already late, but after all, there was still an hour before closing?🤷♀️
They say a wonderful view opens from the tower. But you can only get there with a guided tour, but there were no guides)) therefore, they did not give money without visiting the top.
I advise you to visit with a guide. Take a tour-you won't regret it. They tell it in an interesting and very lively way that you don't even notice how time passes
The legendary White Vezha is a symbol of the Republic of Belarus. There is a museum of the history of the tower and the town of Kamenets. Nearby, on a hill, there is a beautiful Orthodox church.
An interesting tower, worth a visit. But the work schedule is very strange. The official website says that the tower is open until 18, the ticket office until 17:30, and the last excursion to the observation deck leaves at 16:30 or 17:00, I don't remember exactly. This was not indicated on the website, which was very upsetting. Because we were passing through from Brest, and we calculated that we would have about an hour left to visit the tower. The most interesting thing is to climb up to the observation deck. It is very strange that the museum administration restricts the access of visitors in this way. 3 stars precisely because of this, and because the site does not have correct information on the work of the museum
It was very frustrating that they wouldn't let you on the observation deck unless you bought a guided tour. And it is expensive and there is not always time for it.
We were passing through, we didn't regret it.We took a guide, I advise you to take it if you will, first of all, a very interesting story, well, they don't let you on the observation deck without a guide. The view from above is gorgeous.
And here an unpleasant surprise awaited us, as part of an independent (paid) visit, access to the observation deck on the roof is not available. Only for paying for a guided tour ((
It is definitely worth taking an individual guide. It's very interesting to tell. Of course, you often don't go there-but if you are somewhere nearby, you will definitely visit.
We arrived at the end of the working day and could not climb the towers, but they say the view from there is very good, I recommend that you arrive there before 17 00
An interesting historical place. I recommend everyone to climb to the roof of the tower, as the view from there is beautiful. Plus, look at the tower itself from the inside. The only disadvantage is that you can climb to the roof with a guide, and this is + 15p to the entrance ticket (you can take one guide for a small group)
An ancient tower, a beautiful place. There are guided tours. The area in front of the tower is well maintained.

The museum is the main place to visit this town. It is perfectly restored and even has interactive glasses (well, something similar))) to get into that era. Five floors of the tower with exhibits. A worthy place, if you happen to be here. The caretakers are nice and friendly)
I accidentally got there, coming by. I literally jumped on the last tour. The museum employee told a very fascinating story. The tour of all levels of the tower ends with an exit to the observation deck.
It's a great place. I've been dreaming of getting there for a long time and now the point is closed. The scale and volume are amazing. It is a pity that much has been lost and destroyed …
A great picturesque place. If you are driving by or not far away, be sure to stop by. The territory is clean and tidy. There is a small museum inside the tower, and good views open from the loopholes.
