The place is excellent, the freshest fish and seafood are quickly prepared at quite reasonable prices for Istanbul.
Of the disadvantages, they can mess up in a hurry. Once, my wife was served poorly fried salmon. Another time, one portion of shrimp was raw, the other was overcooked.
But "the average hospital" is still very good. There is not always a mutton, but when there is, it is beautiful.
The most serious disadvantage for me is the lack of alcohol, even beer. It's a pity, as many dishes with beer or white wine would have opened even better. 😁
A great place if you like fish. Fresh, very fast service.
We ate a plate of anchovies 300 tl, salmon steak 400 tl, shrimp 400 tl, balik ekmek 150 tl. Try the drink shalgam, it's very interesting. I definitely recommend you to visit!
A great cheap place with the most delicious fish shawarma in Istanbul! The place may seem ugly, but it is neat and always clean, opposite they pour water on fish for sale, beauty! They speak Russian here.
A very large selection of fish products, the eyes run away!
Everything is fresh and delicious.
We bought it, and we cooked it, and we got high!
The sellers are friendly and accommodating in terms of prices.
A great place to eat the freshest fish and seafood. You can buy a morning catch at the fish market and they will cook it right there in the cafe. A place for your own, without alcohol. The average check for two is $30.
Canteen at the fish market. We went to try balik ekmek and balik duryum with tea. It was very tasty and we also took dolma mussels (mussels with rice) and small fried fish (I think so). That's how much I don't like fish, but it's just a fairy tale. March 2025 the check was 880 lire, Karl! Recommended!
The eatery at the fish market is aimed at locals, everything is delicious and fresh, the prices are fair. In winter, it closes at about half past nine in the evening, at the same time as the market, by the evening not all items on the menu remain and may not accept the card, you need to ask.
If you are in Istanbul and you like to eat fish, come straight here without hesitation.
Firstly, you will not find such low prices in all of tourist Istanbul, perhaps not tourist either (at least in the European part of it). Because a local person dines there and the flow of visitors is obvious;
Secondly, it is located on the shore of the bay, 100 meters from the Galata Bridge (Karakey tram stop);
Thirdly, there is a fish market to the right of the entrance to the cafe, where you can buy fish and they will cook it for you right there. To compare prices, go to the cafes located under the bridge and see for yourself.
I answer you will not regret it!
Cafe near the market, if you are looking here, then you understand this segment of catering. Well-prepared dishes, we took salmon steak, stewed shrimp in a cast-iron skillet and fish soup. They brought a huge basket of fresh bread, ketchup, and mayonnaise. I took some pictures in the window: fish, mussels, salads.
Cafe fire
You can cook the freshest fish here for a penny (well, compared to other places). Anchovies, shrimp, dorado - just fire.
The only thing that can be annoying here is the sanitary conditions. But this is typical for the city as a whole, so I don't consider it a disadvantage.
If you want to eat seafood inexpensively and deliciously, come here!
The setting is simple, even too simple.
Grilled mackerel can be ordered for 240 lire, and shrimp for 300 lire.
The portions are sufficient, the fish is delicious, there were a lot of shrimp in the dish. Bread is brought to the order - very tasty, melts in the mouth.
Check the receipt, they counted more than we needed, it's good that we noticed.
Delicious, fresh fish. We stopped by for dinner a couple of times. Prices are more affordable than in restaurants in the Fatah area. I especially recommend the mutton.
The setting is very simple. But we often come here when we arrive on vacation in Istanbul. It is convenient and inexpensive to have a snack here. Or else we took food with us to the hotel. Shrimp, fish- delicious. Soups are delicious too. I recommend anchovies as the seeds come in. They also took a Balik ekmek in lavash. I can say that pita bread is juicier than bread. Try it)
There are very very tasty Sea Bass and Dorado , we were delighted 😍
We came once , and the next day we decided to repeat it . We also tried the Ekmek Balik , it is also delicious . Salad for two is enough for eyes with fish . Come here and most likely you will come back))
The modest atmosphere did not bother us , the main thing for us is that it was delicious 😋
Fish restaurant at the market. Everything is fresh, cooking without any special tricks, natural, delicious. The prices are reasonable. Photo for April 2024
Great place! Fresh fish! You can buy it from the counter at the bazaar and they'll cook it right there!!!! Everything is open and working! The opening hours are not specified correctly!!!!
We ordered anchovies, dorado, sea bass, vegetable salad, they also bring a large basket of bread , it was very tasty for us, we even ate anchovies while waiting for fish, there are a lot of people, this means they will definitely not bring you something spoiled, people are waiting until the table is free, sea bass and dorada, as I remember, 230 lira, anchovies 150 lire , salad 60 lire
It doesn't taste good. Tasteless, period. How you can over—dry the sea bass, being on the seashore, I don't know. It was only later that I noticed that the seabass was also dried on the promotional photo of the dish. Horse price tag. The tables are wobbly.
In Crimea, the food on the beach is better. One joy in this cafe: begging cats!

More like a fish canteen than a restaurant. But people come here not for the entourage, but to have a delicious meal. I update prices on 04/25.25 at the exchange rate of lira/ ruble 1tl for 2.16rubles
We haven't been to other fish restaurants, but if you believe that in others the prices are even higher, it's cheaper to catch everything yourself))))
The food is normal, but nothing special (we took shrimp, salmon and salad).
Everything is very expensive, but it is 2 times cheaper than under the bridge. There are empty price tags on the menu, check the price of the dish before ordering, otherwise they will draw as many as they want. A portion of fried small lamb (6 pcs) - 400TL (1600 rub). The food is delicious, for 4+.
We came here based on reviews and everything really turned out to be fishy cool! Barely mackerel, mussels, fish soup, some kind of sandwich! Everything's fine
If you want to eat fish in Istanbul, the famous Balik Ekmek, durum, then you can't find a better place. The fish market located next door supplies the cafe with the freshest products and allows you to keep prices low.
If you are not confused by the smell of fish, then you are definitely here, I recommend it!
This is definitely one of the best places in Istanbul where you can eat not very expensive and delicious food. The staff is caring, Mustafa speaks Russian, everything is clean and tidy, there is a lot of space, does not stink, they accept cards and there is even a high chair. In front of me, an employee was delicately scolded for a cucumber skin in a salad – it's worth a lot. And, yes, I have never eaten anything tastier than shawarma with mackerel in Istanbul.
I would recommend a place with very convenient and delicious fish with pleasure, I would like everyone to taste this delicacy, it offers very nice dishes with a view
