The place is excellent, the freshest fish and seafood are quickly prepared at quite reasonable prices for Istanbul.
Of the disadvantages, they can mess up in a hurry. Once, my wife was served poorly fried salmon. Another time, one portion of shrimp was raw, the other was overcooked.
But "the average hospital" is still very good. There is not always a mutton, but when there is, it is beautiful.
The most serious disadvantage for me is the lack of alcohol, even beer. It's a pity, as many dishes with beer or white wine would have opened even better. 😁

A great place if you like fish. Fresh, very fast service.
We ate a plate of anchovies 300 tl, salmon steak 400 tl, shrimp 400 tl, balik ekmek 150 tl. Try the drink shalgam, it's very interesting. I definitely recommend you to visit!

Canteen at the fish market. We went to try balik ekmek and balik duryum with tea. It was very tasty and we also took dolma mussels (mussels with rice) and small fried fish (I think so). That's how much I don't like fish, but it's just a fairy tale. March 2025 the check was 880 lire, Karl! Recommended!

If you are in Istanbul and you like to eat fish, come straight here without hesitation.
Firstly, you will not find such low prices in all of tourist Istanbul, perhaps not tourist either (at least in the European part of it). Because a local person dines there and the flow of visitors is obvious;
Secondly, it is located on the shore of the bay, 100 meters from the Galata Bridge (Karakey tram stop);
Thirdly, there is a fish market to the right of the entrance to the cafe, where you can buy fish and they will cook it for you right there. To compare prices, go to the cafes located under the bridge and see for yourself.

Cafe near the market, if you are looking here, then you understand this segment of catering. Well-prepared dishes, we took salmon steak, stewed shrimp in a cast-iron skillet and fish soup. You can cook the freshest fish here for a penny (well, compared to other places). Anchovies, shrimp, dorado - just fire.
The only thing that can be annoying here is the sanitary conditions. But this is typical for the city as a whole, so I don't consider it a disadvantage.

The setting is simple, even too simple.
Grilled mackerel can be ordered for 240 lire, and shrimp for 300 lire.
The portions are sufficient, the fish is delicious, there were a lot of shrimp in the dish. Bread is brought to the order - very tasty, melts in the mouth.
Check the receipt, they counted more than we needed, it's good that we noticed.

There are very very tasty Sea Bass and Dorado , we were delighted 😍
We came once , and the next day we decided to repeat it . We also tried the Ekmek Balik , it is also delicious . Salad for two is enough for eyes with fish . Come here and most likely you will come back))

Everything is very expensive, but it is 2 times cheaper than under the bridge. There are empty price tags on the menu, check the price of the dish before ordering, otherwise they will draw as many as they want. A portion of fried small lamb (6 pcs) - 400TL (1600 rub). The food is delicious, for 4+.

This is definitely one of the best places in Istanbul where you can eat not very expensive and delicious food. The staff is caring, Mustafa speaks Russian, everything is clean and tidy, there is a lot of space, does not stink, they accept cards and there is even a high chair. In front of me, an employee was delicately scolded for a cucumber skin in a salad – it's worth a lot. And, yes, I have never eaten anything tastier than shawarma with mackerel in Istanbul.
