As a person whose grandparents were repressed in Kazakhstan, it was very interesting for me to visit this place. Feelings are mixed... to be there and understand that this is one of the places on a dark and unfair page of history, where innocent people were deprived of their homes, where they could have been imprisoned for many years for nothing, where they were bullied and tortured.
