A good museum for those who are interested in history is very informative. The guide tells and shows everything. I really enjoyed the impressions and emotions of visiting this museum a lot. We are very glad that we visited.
Yesterday, on August 4th, we visited the Dolinka village Museum of Memory of Victims of Political Repression, and were simply stunned by the amazing tour! Many thanks to the guide Yuri Gamov!During an hour and a half of the tour, we experienced so many indescribable emotions that these impressions will remain with us for the rest of our lives!I would like as many people as possible to visit this Museum and understand how and what people suffered by the will of fate who found themselves in this terrible place.
It is a very atmospheric place, I recommend visiting it. The guide is a very competent and pleasant woman, she scooped up a lot of information. A ticket with a guide costs 2000 tenge, the only thing for a taxi there and back was 15 thousand, but it was worth it.
The scale of the museum and the interior are impressive. The museum staff perfectly preserved the atmosphere of that time: from bright classrooms to creepy basements. I was accompanied by a museum guide, who perfectly complemented everything I saw. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in history!
The Museum of Memory of Victims of Political Repression in the village of Dolinka is a place that everyone should visit. I am happy to bring my children here, because "a nation that does not know its past has no future." The tour was amazing, thanks to the guide Yuri for the detailed answers to all questions. The museum offers many original exhibits, but there is no infrastructure like a cafe. I hope the local authorities will pay attention to this hidden diamond.
I liked everything very much. A good guide, a woman, competently told everything about the people who came to these places how hard it was for them to survive. The expositions are all natural. We were very impressed and learned a lot.I advise everyone to visit.
I really liked the museum! It was interesting on the tour! You need to know the history! Moreover, all this was in our state! My horizons have expanded) Thank you ❤️ I wish you continued prosperity!!! Everything was so realistic that it was creepy, but sooo interesting! I'm thrilled!
It is very interesting and informative. You will really learn the history of our Kazakhstan. I didn't know that the Gulag occupied such a huge area the size of France. Very good guides.
Perhaps a place that everyone should visit. I am happy to visit such museums myself and started taking children, because I agree with the quote:
"People who do not know their past have no future." M.V.Lomonosov
Attention! Before you go, check the opening hours.
Of course, the setting is not for the faint of heart, the guide is a wonderful girl, answers all questions, even stupid ones.
The museum itself is amazing, with many original exhibits. But there is absolutely no infrastructure in the form of cafes and other things. The road leaves much to be desired. I think that the Karaganda Akimat needs to pay attention to this hidden diamond, and attract attention and funding to this place as much as possible.
Excellent museum, very professionally decorated, good guides. The subject is scary - Karlag, but the presentation of the material is excellent, there were a lot of people. Foreigners come, there are tours in 3 languages.
The Museum of Victims of Political Repression reflects the time of troubles and sorrows very much. What a terrible time it was during the years of political repression. We are impressed, emotions are running high. The guide Yuri Gamov told us very interesting and very much, thank you very much
I really love this place , I've been there five times and I'll go again if possible . Each trip complements the history of this place. The guides are great. And in general , respect to the employees , so much work has been invested in the Museum .I am proud to bring guests from other countries, because the place has a great history that has changed the lives of many people.
An interesting museum, the tour is quite dynamic, which is very good, you didn't have to stand in one place for a long time and listen to long stories. We learned a lot of interesting facts. I also liked the guide, the time flew by unnoticed.
The only thing is that it is not very convenient to get to the museum. We took the bus to the village, not the final stop, there are taxi drivers at the bus stop and you can get to the museum, but there are a lot of people on the bus even on weekdays. They did not risk waiting for Ostobus in the heat, they simply got to Karaganda by taxi.
History must be known and must not be forgotten. How many people died. I really liked the museum. We were impressed by what we saw for a long time. Thanks to all the staff and the director of the Museum.
I advise everyone to visit this place, everything is very realistic, you get into it in the meantime, although if you are too suspicious, I do not advise you to visit this place.
It's a masterpiece. Everything is realistic. After visiting the museum, there is anxiety in my soul, but at the same time gratitude for the world now. I participated in the museum night a couple of times. When living people were put in the place of sculptures, so to speak. It's like it's happening here and now. So scary, mesmerizing. I advise everyone who has not been to the museum yet to visit.
The museum is a must-visit. One of a kind. It is a pity that it is not developing. It is necessary to increase the exposition, offer new sightseeing and educational programs, improve the quality of doll making, there is not enough shop with souvenirs, books, printed products.
I'll say right away, if you didn't have to go there, it's very interesting, even very much I went with my mother, I'll say so now she wants to go there every day🤭
A super historical place. The guides know the material perfectly well. The tour is exciting and deeply immersive at the time. I highly recommend you to visit!!!
Many facts are distorted and politicized by anti-Russia. What the guide says often differs from the photos presented in the exhibitions. For a complete picture, the crematorium furnaces would also be installed.
It turned out to be a very useful tour. It's good that they remind us of the history of the country. Exhibits, old documents, and newspapers are clearly and widely presented. The music emphasizes the oppressive atmosphere.
You can get to 121 from the station, be sure to ask the driver for the exit stop, then you will need to catch a taxi. There are very nice people who will just take you, well, some can take 500-1000 tenge. The tour is conducted in 3 languages. The cost is 2000 tenge, well, there are some discounts there, you can find out at the checkout. The museum itself has 3 floors, including the basement. Each has its own vibe and a sea of impressions. BE SURE TO VISIT IF POSSIBLE
The museum is a famous place for the entire Karaganda region. The visit is not expensive, the guides are competent, the lighting and music are suitable! I bring foreign guests here with pleasure!
The museum is so beautiful that it takes you back to the time of repression, as if you were really in a concentration camp. Everything is very realistic, the guide tells everything in detail, in detail.
Interesting, and at the same time creepy. Especially the basement. It shows in all its glory how and what happened in those days. It takes more for the soul of cots and toys. It's impossible to explain this to children now. I recommend you to visit.
Good tour service, helpful staff. But the theme and exposition of the museum is not very simple, there is a reflection of pain and suffering all around, after visiting for a long time it was hard on my soul.
It's a very cool museum, some installations have been removed, but still the impression the museum also makes is very authentic and believable. As soon as you enter the museum, you get the feeling that you have fallen into the past and are in the NKVD, not in the museum
A very interesting tour! Many thanks to the guide! Everything was accessible and intelligibly told about those terrible times in all respects!!! Thank you...
I visited this museum in June 2022. The museum's exposition amazed me, I learned a lot of new things during a tour of the museum.
I strongly advise you to visit this museum
A gorgeous museum. Kazakhstanis are doing well to preserve history, even if it is so cruel. I never would have thought that such a thing was possible. I definitely recommend visiting the museum to those who visit these parts.
A very interesting museum, I advise you, there are excellent guides, one minus, if you need a tour of the museum in English, then you need to discuss this tour with a telephone in advance, otherwise you will have to listen to toltko in two languages Kazakh and Russian
Be sure to visit, take a guided tour. You can't understand a lot without a guide. The museum has many photographs and installations in memory of victims of political repression.

This is a place of our history, even if it is very sad, but it cannot be changed, and we must remember and know this. I highly recommend visiting this museum, the atmosphere of that time, things, music, everything allows you to plunge into those distant times
There is a lot of true information. It is presented both in paper and visual information. The prisoners' cells, their life, their way of life, their work for the benefit of the Motherland. It's scary from such a life..... But this is our story.
Educational tour. Excellent staff. A vivid picture of that time. I was very impressed by the exhibits showing the severity and dullness of the stay, or rather the imprisonment of people in difficult conditions.
A historical place. The place where the destinies of many people passed, some remained behind the walls of the KARLAG, the broken destinies of people. Leaves a residue on the soul
I really liked the museum!I haven't received such emotions for a long time!
Everything is so true that the blood runs cold in your veins!
Thanks to the creator of the museum!
