The church of the 6th century, 591 AD. For example, the Etchmiadzin Cathedral was rebuilt in stone only in the 7th century. The Avan Cathedral is a unique architectural structure, one of the oldest in stone on the territory of Armenia. It's just not clear what kind of alleys you need to be in order not to restore it? An amazing place, with indescribable energy. The Avan Temple, also known as the Avan Church of the Most Holy Theotokos Katogike (arm. Ավանի Սուրբ Աստվածածին Կաթողիկե Եկեղեցի, Avani Surb Astvatsatsin Kaktogike Ekegetsi), Katogike Tsiranavor or Surp Hovhannes is a destroyed Armenian church of the VI century, located in the Avan district of Yerevan. The oldest church in Yerevan, which has survived to the present day.
