The restaurant is for tourists, exclusively. The price tag is too high, in fact it is equal to Moscow prices. The quality of the dishes is quite average, the lamb loin was stringy and dry. The beef kebab is a little dry, the quality of the meat was saved. If we compare it with the restaurant opposite, then I make a choice in its favor - tastier, cheaper and there is no sense of an important hurrying staff.

Место туристическое, посетителей много, поэтому сейчас нулевой. Рады только большим компаниям. Если вы пришли парой, то вам не рады, нас отвели в отдельный маленький зал около кухни, битком забытый людьми, ни уюта ни комфорта, на просьбу сесть в большом зале (было 5 свободных столов) ответили что всё зарегистрировано, что явно неправда, некоторые столы были просто не убраны (люди ушли только что).
Мы зашли вечером, мест не было, попросили зарезервировать столик на обед, сказали что не нужно, в обед свободно, приходите. Мы пришли, но сидеть в ресторане за кухней, при наличии свободных столов и почти всех свободных отдельных залов на компанию, как-то не захотелось.
Цены выше среднего, а уровень сервиса исключительно низкий, так как туристы идут ради названия и посмотреть статуи любимых киногероев. Композиционно сделано интересно, а сами статуи крайне низкого качества, лишь отдалённая схожесть.
Вывод делайте сами: ресторан отказал в посадке 2 людям в ожидании больших компаний, при загрузке ресторана 50 %. Ну то есть не отказал, а предложил сидеть на задворках за кухней.
Если вас такое отношение к себе устраивает (а многих устраивает, судя по забитому битком маленькому залу за кухней), то это ваш выбор.

We stopped by for a quick lunch, before excursions around Yerevan. We only took the soup, so there will be no ratings on the food. Fast service, enough staff. The atmosphere of the film "The Caucasian Captive" is present wherever possible. Beautiful, tasteful, humorous 👍🏾

It's a wonderful place. We've been to two restaurants three times. We returned to a smaller restaurant on Nalbandian Street for the second time. Just because the service is quieter and faster there. Many thanks to the waiter Anya and the girl who played the piano. Both have excellent cuisine. Everything is delicious. I recommend khinkali! Just a bomb.

We went in for dinner and we got the last table. Hooray, lucky! - we thought.... and basically that was the end of luck. The entourage is impressive, paintings on the subject, statuettes with scenes from the film on the table, everything is very cool, live music was playing 👍 we made an order from the menu based on the advice of the waiter. Finally:we waited for 30 minutes, chicken wings were brought instead of ribs (they did not replace them, because they had been waiting for a long time and had been hungry for a long time), salads were brought 10 minutes after other hot dishes, lemonade was brought only when we were reminded of drinks for the second time AFTER all the edibles, when we were about to leave. Moreover, the order was for a carafe of lemonade, they brought 2 glasses of a drink, where half was filled with ice. Very correctly and choosing words (I don't like to swear), I asked to remove the "service" position from the account, because it was not from the word "at all", there were no questions about food - everything is delicious. As a result, the administrator came and literally yelled at us that we were ungrateful and did not need to place an order since we did not want to pay for the service, we were served by a young guy and he was INEXPERIENCED. This is the first time I have come across such a thing that the administrator spoke so rudely to the guests, and did not apologize for the confused employee. There were three of us girls, polite, not aggressive, sober)) enthusiastic about the city and the country. Armenians are famous for their hospitality and respectful attitude towards guests, BUT it's as if they are not in this institution. There was a couple sitting at the next table, who were also shocked by the service - there is a sign on each table stating that a discount is provided on the account on the birthday. But they were refused, roughly motivated by the fact that the discount is only if they order a cake (whole!!!), and there was no such note on the plate. In general, the staff of the institution that evening (04/7/2024) apparently had the "wrong day" that they so sharply crossed out the opinion about the hospitality of Armenians.

We were sitting in the hall at the end of the restaurant, which you need to go to on the right side and turn left at the end. The waiter is a middle-aged man. Otherwise, there are no complaints, either about the food or the interior.

+интерьер отличный, всё интересно и познавательно;
- встреча на входе и обслуживание вызывает вопросы по приветливости персонала;
+ хинкали жареные, хинкали с картофелем, салат с хрустящими баклажанами, хачапури, котлета по-киевски - отлично👍;
- борщ настолько отвратительный, что хочется снизить оценку ещё больше (лично для меня борщ это некий маркер для оценки работы повара)👎;
+ счет оказался в итоге значительно меньше, чем я ожидал.

When we were taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel, we talked to the driver about local restaurants and he sincerely advised us to visit this particular institution.
We went to the restaurant and were told that everything was busy, come back in 1 hour, approx. We left and returned 10 minutes later to book a table. What was our surprise when we were told that we could pass...
When we entered the restaurant, we found that there were empty seats in the large hall, in which the locals were sitting! But! We were taken to some kind of hall with several tables, where it was not so atmospheric anymore (apparently, Russians are not particularly loved now and for us there is a "special place" in this restaurant ...)
1, It is not clear what happened to the cloakroom attendant's face, there was a feeling that she wanted to throw a number in my face. Such a disregard was read, as if I had come to her house ....
2. Why is this pathos of eternal "demand"? I read other reviews, people try to book a place almost a week in advance.
Straight MICHELIN of some kind))) In fact, it is an ordinary place with tasteless food.
And yes, the food was very disappointing. Not delicious, just plain food! at an inflated price.
Yes, the interior is impressive, everything in the stele of the Soviet film of the same name "The Caucasian Captive" ends with the dignity of this institution!
Do not do as we do, do not spoil your evening, do not visit this MEGA "pretentious" place.
If they had known in advance, they would never have come here.
