Лучшие хинкали в Тбилиси именно тут. В принципе всё достаточно вкусно, цены умеренные, всегда много народа, причём много местных жителей, что тоже говорит о качестве. Сервис конечно мог бы быть и лучше, официанты иногда забывают о своих гостях, но это встречается по всей Грузии.

When people write that this place has the best Khinkali in all of Georgia, apparently they have not been to all of Georgia and ate little khinkali. I believe that khinkali should be with a thin dense dough, there should be an average amount of spices and coriander, minced meat or Minced meat is not important, pork / beef / lamb or a mixture is what someone likes better, but in order to have a little fat for juiciness, there should be enough broth inside. In this restaurant, the khinkali is normal, quite average: the dough is thick, there are few spices, I did not find coriander. Other dishes are also fine, the overall impression is 4.

The impression of this place can be described in two words: expectation is reality.
A 5-star rating is deceptively attractive. But, in fact, the place is not the most attractive in terms of atmosphere, there is no menu in Russian (thank you for at least having it in English).
The service is normal, but it can be better.
And the most interesting thing is the food.
The order consisted of shoti (Georgian bread), which in fact was an ordinary Armenian lavash, while not the freshest.
Also ojahuri. These are potatoes with meat and spices.
And what was this dish like?
Fried potatoes with chicken and a ton of onions. The cat cried a lot of spices there. The dish was over-salted and greasy. It's pretty hard to make chicken breast and potatoes greasy. But then they managed...
the chicken was dry and tough.
In general, the impression of such food is negative. It's not tasty. And it looks more like a tasteless cooked Russian dish.
If you want to try Georgian dishes, look for another place.
The only thing that was delicious was lemonade, a wonderful Georgian lemonade💚

Кафе Вельяминов держит марку многие годы. Каждый приезд в Тбилиси посещаем, чтобы именно здесь съесть вкуснейшие хинкали. Удобно расположен, две минуты от площади Свободы, обязателен к посещению.

Лучшее кафе в Тбилиси, из тех в которых был. Цены ниже средних при этом все очень вкусно. 10% за обслуживание как и везде.
Вкуснейший кебаб из баранины 14 лари
Салат с ореховой заправкой 8 лари
Пиво 3 лари
Порции крупные.

I came to have dinner alone. I wanted khinkali. They are really delicious here. But the order is at least 10 pieces. Cafe without milking lonely dinners, I took trout with cheese and nuts. It was very greasy and the arrogance inside the fish was cold. I also took a vegetable kebab. The vegetables were fried whole, the mushrooms were just embers. No spices or sauce, just lean vegetables baked on a skewer. Of course, I quickly made a horovac of them, but there were not enough greens and sauce. In general, the conclusion is that in such establishments it is necessary to eat what it is famous for. And don't experiment.
