A very strong place. Well done - everything is clean and well maintained. I brought my children here for an excursion. Such places should be visited. And teach history lessons to children
The fortress is kept in perfect order. Clean, neat and imbued with the spirit of history. The soundtrack creates a special atmosphere. It is impossible not to appreciate the contribution of the defenders of the fortress to our lives
A place of memory and sorrow. I advise everyone to visit and worship the heroism of the heroes. We walked around the territory and to the museums with a guide. It is very interesting to hear the details of those days. The territory is large, you need at least 3-4 hours to see everything, plus museums. Outside the walls of the Citadel there is a place where two rivers merge, their waters differ in color.
You need to visit this place at least once. If you go with children who are not particularly interested in history, watch the movie "Brest Fortress" in advance, they will understand more
You definitely need to visit here at least once. We managed to take a tour of the Museum of Defense of the Brest Fortress and territory. Special thanks to the guide for interesting facts and presentation 👍
Looking at the walls of this fortress, you feel proud of those people, the heroism and courage that they showed in the early days of the war. You think about how you would behave if you were in their place, experiencing thirst, hunger and the horrors of explosions.
After my daughter's answer to the question, who is Hitler, we received the answer that he is an artist. It was decided to go once again to the places of military operations. We ourselves are from St. Petersburg and there is also a place to go and where to bow, but the Brest fortress is a huge machine. So impressive. Majestically. Clear. Carefully. On a large scale. The fireworks on May 9th and the celebration itself were at an excellent level. Brest residents made the most pleasant impressions.
When traveling to Belarus, visiting the Brest fortress is like paying tribute to all the defenders who took the unequal battle first in 1941!
The large memorial complex is designed so that you can walk and see all the objects on your own and for free. Paid - museums and guides. The tour is quite expensive from 70 to 100 Belarusian rubles. We used the audio guide.
This is a historical place, anyone who watched the film Brest Fortress will understand. To walk across the bridge where the Nazis were attacking, to touch the gates to the citadel, it makes you shudder to realize that thousands of people died here in an attempt to hold back the Germans. The monuments built in honor of the feat of Soviet soldiers, of course, are impressive in their scope, the squares are large, the excursions are interesting, what can I say, you definitely need to visit.
Something that must be seen. The guides who managed to listen to above all praise. Everything is well maintained and maintained in excellent condition.

A magnificent structure where Soviet border guards held the line against superior enemy forces. Belarusians are great! They keep a good eye on the monument and take care of our common long-suffering past!
This is the pride of Bres!!! If you are in Brest, be sure to visit the memorial and the museum. I do not recommend the Cytodel restaurant. The cuisine is weak and the service is slow.
The place of sorrow and valor of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who courageously stood for the Motherland. Great memory!!! I advise everyone!
The Kholm Gate is one of the four gates of the defensive barracks in the citadel of the Brest Fortress. This gate has a rich history and is a symbol of the fortress.
On a large scale. Cool. Very informative. Everyone needs to visit, preferably repeatedly. I don't know if there are military productions in the style of WWII, if not, let them come up with something like the daily life of the unit before the war. That would be cool.
A large historical complex with and without excursions , at the entrance there are many small cafes where you can have a snack , there are also cafes and souvenir shops on the territory of the complex itself ...
This is a story and the soul hurts that people had to go through in the great war, everything is soaked in blood and sweat . I do not recommend a visit with a bad psyche.
A symbol of heroism, courage and bravery of Soviet soldiers. It is also an example of fortification, architecture (an Orthodox church) and a very careful attitude of Belarusians to their historical and cultural heritage. Thanks to the staff of the museum complex for their daily work!
The grandeur of the place is impressive... it is very difficult to understand how much those soldiers who fought for peace had to go through ...
it is definitely worth visiting this place.
Very impressive! Goosebumps! Everything is modern and well maintained. But at the same time, the wartime picture has been preserved. The chips on the brick walls, the bullet marks, all this is impressive. After the visit, the film "Brest Fortress" was reviewed. A lot of emotions!!!
The central place of the Brest Fortress for photos. Like everywhere else in the memorial, it's a little creepy from the experience. Empathizing with the feelings of the defenders of the fortress who said goodbye to their lives, determined to take the lives of their enemies with them.
No comments. A place of holy memory. It is necessary to bring children here from early childhood and tell them a story. Excellent guides. A memory for the ages.
The Holm Gate is recorded in the memory of every person who has this memory. Who remembers June 22, 1941 from films, stories, photographs, for them this day is the Holm Gate. I personally associate the Brest Fortress with them. It was on this bridge that the Germans attacked the fortress through Mukhavets.
I went there as a schoolgirl , this summer I already drove my children) we drove ourselves, without agencies, our grandmother knows the history, and she was our guide. The children liked it very much , after the fortress they walked to Sovetskaya pedestrian street. Unfortunately, they did not wait for the famous lamplighter, they ran to the train. The atmosphere is certainly different from Gomel, the architecture is also interesting, as my daughter said, "it's like we've been to Europe." We will definitely come again , only this time with an overnight stay and for a couple of days to fully capture the atmosphere and enjoy the magnificent Brest
A beautiful memorial complex for the wars that defeated Nazism. If you think about it, the place is very scary and stands on blood. Most of all, people are surprised by people laughing at the dummies. This is a place of memory!!!! Bright memory to all who died at this place!!!
A Holy Place Of Power. The whole Brest fortress evokes awe, respect and admiration for the courage of the Defenders. It was on the list of places to visit, I highly recommend it
We were at the son's swearing-in! A beautiful memorial complex with its own history. It was all very solemn and interesting. We will definitely return to this place
On the one hand, it's a great place. On the other hand, it is still a place of sorrow. Everything is beautifully done. It is absolutely necessary to visit the Brest fortress as a tribute to memory
This is definitely a place in the top 5 in Belarus. Historical, heroic, which should be told to the younger generation. There are not always free guides, sometimes everyone is busy, you need to arrange in advance. It was not the first time, but we found new places that we had not seen before, for example, pillboxes on the shore.
The great Memorial of resistance, glory to the heroes who defended their homeland and Russian weapons, for centuries, the fortress is very impressive in its scale.

A gorgeous place, full of echoes of the war, the entourage of that time has been preserved. There is a museum on site, a souvenir shop, and in the rain you can buy a raincoat in the souvenir shop. Must-visit
The fortress, built 100 years before the events that glorified and immortalized the Soviet people,
soldiers and commanders of the Soviet Red Army, is impressive!
A monumental-looking monument, especially if you look into the eyes. It gets to the bottom of my soul. I recommend you to visit. There was a story going on here that everyone should know so as not to repeat mistakes
