It's very dirty and there are crowds of people. This is only possible on a public holiday. From the train there is a path through the market, strewn with garbage. Very loud music from the speaker. When they reached the stairs, they decided not to even go up. I do not recommend visiting this place on a public holiday.

Cool monkeys, beautiful mountain. But I didn't like the atmosphere of the place. There are two more paid caves, I think there is no point in going to them. It is convenient to take the metro from Kuala Lumpur, rather it is not even a metro, but like a metro station / commuter train in Moscow. We were leaving the railway station, which is located next to the Negara Mosque. The train runs 10 times a day, the frequency depends on the loading time. Two hours is enough to visit, we were in the afternoon, there are few people. Carefully with things, monkeys can take away, they stole the girl's passport from us, then everyone tried to exchange it for food.
A trip to the caves of the Batu Caves Temple is like getting to the coolest holiday! There are crowds of monkeys everywhere, playing, shouting and living their lives, and the Deities look at all this fuss from the height of their statues. And there you can also meet many pilgrims who are ready to take part in the Taipusam.
Taipusam is a holiday that is clearly worth visiting at least once in your life! I have never seen so many people so devoted to their faith and traditions.
