The most "secular" Catholic church in Grodno. Perhaps even exemplary. The traditions of organ concerts for the public and tourists and just anyone who is interested in organ music are great! It gets to the center of the lungs, stops breathing, and a little remains in the heart when you leave. Follow the schedule on social networks. Be sure to come in if you've never been. You'll come out a different person.
We went to a concert of organ music. Interesting sound. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff, there is a website where you can ask and find out everything through a chat where questions are immediately answered. I recommend a visit. The concert lasts only 30 minutes.
It is a wonderful place both for believers and for all citizens of Grodno, in view of the introduction to musical culture through regular organ music concerts. Entrance to organ music concerts for all citizens and guests of the city without reference to religion. Thanks to such places, the history of Belarus, culture and true tolerance in the most vivid expression of this concept, as well as identity, are known. Thanks to the rector of the church and all the ministers, you support the cultural capital of Belarus in its originality and harmony with history.
A small, beautiful church of historical significance, located in the city center, near the city park. Organ music concerts are often held in the Church. A must-visit.
Our city is unique to you all. Architecture, history, Father Neman, residents of the city. The church stood for many years as a lonely and unattended Historical building. It is wonderful that at present a beautiful architectural monument has been restored and it is functioning as intended. I have been there more than once for musical performances, listened to the organ. Acoustics is something. I am proud of the historical monuments in Grodno that have been preserved and restored despite the last war.
A great interior space for children and adults in the city. If you have the opportunity to attend in combination with an organ concert, you will be impressed. Near the city park and the city center. I recommend
I was lucky!!!!!And we were absolutely delighted! It's completely accidental to pass by and get to a concert of organ music...emotions cannot be conveyed. Be sure to go. There is a concert schedule hanging near the church and they are held for donations.
I really liked this place. Many places in our country and in Belarus listened to the organ. The Church has a special sound. Very nice people organize small concerts on weekends. We were delighted with the event. Thanks to the organizers and artists. The organ sounded great.
A cozy church with amazing organ music concerts.
It is worth visiting on Sunday (15.00) or Saturday (17.00) to listen to the organ.
Admission is for a voluntary donation, but you should come early, because if there are a lot of people or a tourist group, then you will not have enough space in the hall and will not be allowed inside.
This is a must-visit place in Grodno (if you get to an organ mini-concert, and they are there quite often). The church (church) is quite noticeable, in a neo-Gothic (sort of) style))) Inside, minimalism, no decorations and excesses: frescoes, icons, artifacts, etc., only benches like in a church, an organ and a place from where the pastor (or whoever they have) broadcasts. The organ is of course a test, the concert is not long, but it is impressive. I recommend. One of the most vivid impressions about the city.
We were at an organ music concert. I really liked it. The music is mesmerizing, the wife and her friend were delighted.A beautiful building. Inside, everything is simple, ascetic, unlike Orthodox churches.
St. John's Church in Grodno is a beautiful church with a rich history. The architecture is stunning, and the interior is filled with intricate details and religious works of art. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, which makes this place ideal for meditation and prayer. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they provide valuable information about the meaning of the church. It is definitely worth a visit for those who are interested in religious and historical sites.
I recommend that when visiting this wonderful church, by the way, the only functioning Lutheran church in Belarus, find time and go to regularly arranged mini organ concerts, the program of which includes works by Bach and other famous composers.
In addition, you have a chance to hear the wonderful sound of the German organ received by the temple in 2014, along with the trombone, as I was lucky in October 2023.
If you wish, you can leave the payment for the concert in the form of a donation that is feasible for you.
Few of the interiors have been preserved. We were there at the organ party - very decent, the program is varied, it's worth it to diversify the evening
The only functioning church on the territory of Belarus. I was at an organ music concert, I really liked it, they played soundtracks from popular movies. Admission is for a donation.
During a tour of Grodno, they offered a concert of organ music in a Protestant church. The location is convenient. Beautiful architecture . It 's very modest inside . Benches , an organ . The concert featured a wonderful organ and trombone . First Bach , then the music from the movies and ended with Strauss . Everyone really liked it!
We attended an organ music concert with our family. Like it. Not for long, not too long, without unnecessary conventions. The situation is so to say homely.
Lutheran Church, the only one in Grodno! The appearance is strict and interesting, everything is empty inside, a minimum of any images, etc. compared to churches, but the organ is also present)))) it is definitely worth going to an organ concert)))
I am Orthodox. I came in as a tourist. It's beautiful, atmospheric, but you can only go deep into it for prayer, fences are not allowed. There are a lot of tourists. The entrance doors are not in place.
Grodno is amazing! We were very lucky, a large group of tourists had just arrived at the Church and a mini "concert" of organ music was organized especially for them! That's great! Be sure to plan a visit! Very atmospheric and impressive!
In early September, I managed to visit this church, in the city of Grodno. We came there specially from Brest, because on weekends, on Saturday and Sunday, organ concerts are held in this church. The program is very interesting, admission is free for everyone, regardless of religion, just for a small donation in any currency. You need to come in advance, at least 30 minutes before the start, because there are a lot of people and the program is very interesting. This is the only church in Belarus in which an organ is installed. And I really liked Grodno, a small, cozy, quiet, peaceful town
We were at an organ concert, this is the best thing that can be heard and seen inside, from the outside, a small, pretty church, not much different from others
The current Lutheran church.
We were at an organ and trumpet concert. It was organized by the parishioners of this church. I liked it, everything turned out so chamber.
An amazing place not only of religion but also of culture. I strongly recommend that you attend an organ music concert in the evening. You will be delighted. P.S. if you are five minutes late, you will have to listen to the concert standing up, always sold out.
A beautiful, and most importantly a rare temple for Belarus. Everything is fine, but there is one drawback characteristic of the whole of Grodno: at night in the city above 5 meters it is absolutely dark, there is almost no outdoor lighting of buildings, and there are many wonderful ones in the city: a farny church, a palace of culture of textile workers, a drama theater, beautiful Orthodox cathedrals, a synagogue, just very old medieval remarkable buildings, who just drown in the dark in the evening. It shouldn't be like this, their lighting in the evening would add a lot of charm to the wonderful city.
I really liked it. It looks unusual from the outside. The interior is simple, but the organ is awesome. We got to an evening of organ music. It was amazing.
We visited the church on the evening of 08/12/2023. We listened to an organ concert, a great pastime, admission for donations. Be sure to visit during your trip to Grodno
